ʟᴇᴛ ɪᴛ ʙᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡɴ, that the Church does not forget, nor does it forgive. We came upon the frozen shores of the Rimeglen, and we met with your fractured hierarchy. The mandate of Unity was enacted, and the infernal legions made sure that the Black Sepulchre understood its position - it bent the knee and agreed to our terms, be it in fear of our legions, or in recognition of our most holy charge. It would seem, however, that oaths and promises made by the life-weavers of the Rimeglen are easily forgotten. In their new ʙʟᴀᴄᴋ ᴅᴏᴄᴛʀɪɴᴇ, they seem to find solace in an attempt at superiority over all other free people, forgetting their place and forgetting the ʙʟᴀᴄᴋ ɢᴏᴅ that grants them the power from which they draw their arts.

ʙʏ ᴅᴇᴄʀᴇᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ʙʟᴀᴄᴋ ᴘᴏɴᴛɪꜰꜰ, shall the Mandate of Unity be enforced once more. The Legions will once more march upon the Rimeglen, and the debt owed by this Witch-King will be collected - if not, his head shall suffice. Those who attempt to stop the legions will be trampled beneath their feet. There will be no negotiation - for that has already transpired. There will be no deals, for that has already been shattered. Trust is a fickle mistress, and the Witch King has deemed it wise to test it.

ᴜɴɪᴛʏ ᴡɪʟʟ ɴᴏᴛ ʙᴇ ᴀᴛᴛᴀɪɴᴇᴅ ʟᴇꜱᴛ ɪᴛ ɪꜱ ᴇɴꜰᴏʀᴄᴇᴅ, and it is the charge of the Legions and its Generals to ensure this enforcement is carried out. It is nigh time that the free people remain united under a single banner - and if in order to be united, your freedom must be controlled, then mote it be. The will of the Eye be done, the will of ɪʙʟᴇᴇꜱ be done.

ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ɢɪᴠᴇɴ ᴀ ᴄʜᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴀᴛ ᴜɴɪᴛʏ

ɴᴏᴡ, ɪᴛ ɪꜱ ᴛɪᴍᴇ ꜰᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱʟᴀᴜɢʜᴛᴇʀ.

That apostle of Violence scanned the missive, clacking her walking-stick 'pon the stone of the church "Roza Vhorazu! The Bishop exclaimed, "The folly of Xion's warriors shall be revealed on the field of battle, let them pray to their messiah, for their words fall on deaf ears. The dead do not hear." The letter was placed back on its resting place, the penitent returning to their blasphemous liturgy.

Somewhere else, a plate-clad phantom caught word of this casus belli. Reflecting of the futility of the battle the month prior, where dead met undying in combat, a weary sigh was issued forth. The letter was crumpled up and tossed away, the geist preparing himself for a forever-war.

A skeleton lays rotting within the harsh north, headless did the winds howl over the lifeless wretch. Only the faintest scream rattled from the abyss, one enraged for the infernal scourge

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I HATE DEMONS!”

"Hmmm..." A yellow jester peered into the missive, the eyes on his ''mask'' squinting a little as an unnaturally long grin appeared on his face "I remember that... I watched the door..." he nodded "I wonder how this will end... I only know it will be fun..." he chuckled, the demon playing with some purple malflame on his fingers.

The undead lieutenant lays a hand on a faint crack in its bone from the recent battle, and shakes its head, "I will be ready to meet these pests once more."
