TO THE SUBJECTS OF IDUNIA AND THE TRIBES OF HARREN AND SCYFLING,

 

HEIR COURTSHIP was a brief and earnest one, and it was long before they spoke plainly of marriage. Both had reached their later years, each bearing the weight of long-lived experience and the knowledge of joys already tasted and losses endured. Nearly sixty years had passed since they had first crossed paths,a single meeting once thought fleeting, scarcely worth remembrance amid the sprawl of a lifetime, or so they had thought. And yet time, patient and unerring, carried them back into one another’s course. What had been chance in youth became intention in age; two lives long run in parallel found themselves entwined at last, meeting again not as they once were, but as all they had become.

 

Thus, by the will and consent of their Princely houses, it is henceforth proclaimed that Davyd of House Colborn and Ser Heledd of House Glennmaer are formally pledged to be joined in holy matrimony before all of Idunia. In the joining of their houses, the banners of Colborn and Glennmaer shall fly allied, their accord strengthened through the sacred rite of marriage.

 

In celebration of their union and the fellowship pledged between these Princely houses, it is further declared that a Kamp tournament will be held shortly following the ceremony. By strength of arm, skill of hand, and honor of conduct, those who take the field will compete in friendly conduct, dedicating their valor and discipline in tribute to the newlywedded couple. 

 

 

T I M E T A B L E

 

I. THE CEREMONY [02/06 8PM EST]

To initiate the proceedings, the masses shall be summoned to the Temple of Saint Artifai in the citadel of Alduun, wherein the sacrament shall be led by Father Vitalius Vourkehardt.

 

II. THE TOURNEY OF KAMP [AFTER THE CEREMONY]

To begin the festivities of their nuptials, the newlyweds shall summon those in witness of the ceremony to the fairgrounds of Alduun, there to partake in a grand game of Kamp. Those present shall be divided into two teams: Team Wheat and Team Cabbage. A bound strawman shall be set upon the field; one team shall act as defenders, guarding it, whilst the other seeks to push it out of bounds, batting opponents aside. If the strawman is cast from the field, the attacking team wins the round. Teams shall switch roles after each round. Victory is claimed by the first to win four bouts of five. There shall be a prize given upon the tournament’s end.
