Evil Bigguns Thwarted!

czcgLoZ.png

~Halflings in cages, oh my!~

A while back, a group of EVIL bigguns invaded and tried to take over Amberdell! They kidnapped my daughter, Sonia, as well as Kieran, and had to be fought off with the help of our giant tortoise and the combined efforts of every villager! With this epic battle, the Thaindom led by yours truly was preserved and the halflings remained free! Long Live Amberdell!

New Knoxist Shrine

~The Shrine~

A new shrine to the Pumpkin Lord, Knox, Protector of the Halflings & Weefolks, has been constructed in the village! The new shrine is located just outside of Reilan's burrow.

Barter Update

~A new halfling in the village~

-Milk increases in barter value from two wheat bundles per bucket to four, raising the value of cheese products in turn.

-Potatoes crash down to two potatoes per bundle of wheat! Potatoes "just aren't cool anymore" says local villager.

-Melon value rises in what barter-market bears call a "dead-rat bounce". Time will tell if melon prices will ever recover.

-Pumpkin value soars due to patriotic purchasing! High-quality pumpkins are now being used as long-term stores of value, rivaling wheat's traditional dominance. Pumpkincoin speculators rejoice!

Foreign Explorations

~In a gate~

Halfling tourism to other countries has increased in recent years, dominated by the brave adventures of female-only (+ Reilan) explorer groups. Let us hope that these expeditions will make new friends abroad and lead to future prosperity for us!

This has been the Pumpkin Paper, Knox bless Amberdell and the weefolks!

-Isabelle Applebrook, local halfling and Thain of Amberdell.

Elsbeth, one of the adventurers of these mentioned groups, cannot help but smile as she reads the newspaper. "In the end, all roads lead back home."
