The Sanguine arts that the siliti practiced aligned with its prolonged strain and new form in the hands of mortals were never able to shake off their deeper roots, stemming from those of the pentacle itself it was no surprise that the ancient art would fall in the hands of Zarthairn’s chaotic legions eventually, utilizing it in their neverending cycle of destruction and consumption to bring about great disasters on their opposing warbands, marking territory or using it to bolster their numbers soon Velkuzat’s own legion saw this art and its potential- succumbing to their green they enslaved those who wielded the arts and forced them to submit it to their own legions and eventually Velkuzat himself. This caused the art to eventually spread amongst the infernal of both warbands, soon becoming warped over time and perverted to each of their liking. While the Zar’rokul of the two legions bore greater portions of the magic their lesser inferi kin still held some knowledge of the arts. It soon leaked to the infernal upon mortal realms through broken depictions and translations, solely being wielded by Inferi and Naztherak who already practice the ancient magic. Realizing the potential between the two through dreams, accidental discoveries, rituals and being taught

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ

All rites follow the same roll mechanics as [NAME HERE]

One must have both BLOOD MAGIC and either Naztherak MA or a CA from the Infernal Cempodium to lead any of the rites mentioned below.
Upon becoming a [Greater] bloodmage one may gain the knowledge of these rites after connection through any freeform rp they see fit, this must be denoted on their Bloodmagic MA with proof of RP. by an ST ticket

[Lesser] bloodmages must be taught these rites by [Greater] bloodmage and must be denoted on their MA by an ST ticket

Each ritual requires a minimum of [4] flavourful emotes to perform
If one undergoes both the Rɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴀᴍᴀʟɢᴀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ and Rɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴄᴏʀʀᴜᴘᴛɪᴏɴ to gain natural armour of chitin/plate this must be denoted on their CA/MA and approved by ST. Therefore an ST ticket is required once both rituals are done.

All rites that effect physical attributes are one off rites. Meaning one may not undergo the  Rɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴀᴍᴀʟɢᴀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ or Rɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴄᴏʀʀᴜᴘᴛɪᴏɴ twice.

Items made from any of these  rites are limited to [2] a week per bloodmage with a cooldown of  [1] per [24] hours.

Rɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴅᴇᴠᴏᴛɪᴏɴ - [Greater] [Noncombative]

Mainly used by Naztherak most devoted to their patrons, The False prince is able to devote a certain region they choose to inherit the will of the lord that chose them, devoting the region to the physical or mental afflictions of that patron's malice.

[Mechanics]
Rite of Devotion requires a group of three Inferi/Naztherak one of which must be a [Greater] bloodmage in order to perform this ritual. It begins with a [4x4] pentacle being drawn on a flat surface then [4] counts of Genus must be added along with [15] counts of Rakir along with corpses of animals relating to the patron they wish to devote the regions to, for example those wishing to devote the region to Velkuzat must toss corpses of sheep and goat in the circle. Once the ritual is complete a pillar from the gore and viscera of the slaughtered animals will erect in the patron’s putrid image and stand at [4x4x8]

Devotion to Velkuzat sends the region into an unending starvation, the more you eat the more you crave for the relief of a full belly, This desire to consume does not stop at only edible foods but non edible items as well, soon driving the region to a famine.

Devotion to Drazhana sends the region into darkness, the faint shadow of a drake’s wing casted over the area with a looming darkness that was abnormal from the outside. Being sent into an eternal night causes the inhabitants to feel a rushing sense of paranoia and dread.

Devotion to Kiiztria sparks disgruntled discourse between those in the region, you feel as if what someone speaks is nothing but a lie, regardless of who they are. This malice strengthens the tighter the bond is and how important that speaker is. Hate for those one dislikes becomes a true front sending nations into isolation and great distrust.

Devotion to Kholidav releases diseases of pestilence into regions, from pores funneling from the pillar vile bacteria and germs are sprayed out, giving the atmosphere a faint green glow that could be seen from outside. Inhabitants of this region are overcome with sickness, crops become diseased and food is spoiled.

Devotion to Zarthairn encourages the disruptive inner thoughts of even the most composed. Your thoughts become chaotic and whispering infernals encourage you to reveal your true chaotic nature. This sparks riots, fights- simple arguments become full fledged fights as the descendents get a taste of the chaotic nature of the high hells.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ

Requires RO/Major RO permission.

Pillars must be ST signed and once the ritual is completed a Nzztherak may emote according to the respective patron away from the area.

Pillars are destructible and must be destroyed by blunt force. Any cuts will regenerate and they are immune to fire.

This does not effect combat, sickness may alter someone’s combative capabilities should they choose to rp it themselves.

A region may only be devoted to one patron at a time with a cooldown of [2] OOC Weeks on the region which begins once the ritual is successful and each Pillar may last [1] OOC Week.

Rɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ɪɴᴠᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ - [Lesser]  [Noncombative]

Utilized by shackled inferi to invoke their superior they may plunge themselves into the Prince’s domain and commute telepathically with them or a Naztherak may conjure a Zar’akal’s Greater  Court in one summon.

[Mechanics]
In order for this rite to be used an item must be corrupted and turned into a conduit. This requires one Naztherak/Inferi and a Bloodmage which may be one the sole inferi doing the ritual, a [3x3] pentacle of blood must be drawn on a flat surface. The runes Transcendence, Binding and Mortality must be fashioned on each tip of the star. [4] counts of Genus must be added to the circle along with [8] counts of Rakir, the bloodmage may then place their wound on the edge of the circle to activate the ritual where the sole Naztherak/Zarakal the conduit is being bound to must infuse [10] Maleus into the circle.  In order to invoke a Zar’akal along with his Greater Court the individuals must infuse [10] of their own Maleus into the circle.

To activate the conduit [1] count of Rakir must be fed into the item, once that is done the invoker will fall into a trance and telepathically communicate with their Naztherak/Zarakal. To summon multiple people in a Zarakal’s Greater Court the conduit must be fed [5] counts of Rakir where all the individuals feel the need to heed the call, falling into a trance simultaneously. All individuals during the invocation are then summoned into a mental domain fitting the aesthetic of the Naztherak/Zarakal who binded the item.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ

Once combat has begun the domain will break away, disrupting the connection.
Requires ST signage to denote the item is legitimate and must say who to contact in the description as other inferi may use it to conjure another inferi’s binder
The item may be destroyed by brute force, methods such as stabbing or flames will leave the item unharmed.

Rɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴀᴍᴀʟɢᴀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ -  [Greater] [Noncombative]

Invented by the Maldaka among Zarthairn’s legion and soon diluted down by the practices of infernal mages upon mundus, this rite was used to ‘upgrade’ the infernal soldiers of the five great legions, now dialed down to a less impactive degree.

[Mechanics]
The rite can only be performed on inferi and needs a [Greater] bloodmage to perform. Using a gore pit, [4] units of Genus must be donated into the pit along with [15] counts of Rakir and [5] counts of Maleus. The infernal must then submerge themselves into the pit of gore. Once submerged into the vile pool, the pit must then be set alight with malflame, beginning the process and bringing the pit to life, as it roils and shudders, tossing and turning the entity within as it is imbued with further corruption.

This ritual allows an Inferi, Naztherak, or Zar’Akal to alter their aesthetics further than the base infernal or Naztherak pages allow. Horns may grow larger and even more rigid, wings may be even more grotesque, and bones may rip through skin and grow exposed and corrupted. The transformation is freeform but must expand upon existing features/mutations or ones that fit said character- creating newer smaller ones are also permitted.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ

This rite is irreversible.

Mutations gained from this ritual are noncombative and useless on their own, Only when going through the corruption ritual can one make natural armour feasible in combat.
This ritual on its own does not require ST signage.

This ritual may be used to restore limbs/lost appendages- to a more gruesome degree, such as lacking in skin or warped unnaturally.

Naztherak who undergo this ritual will have the mutations transfer over to minor degrees on their descendant guise.

Undergoing amalgamation may not give extra limbs any further use beyond their original redlines. Tails may not be able to wield weapons etc.
If extra limbs are gained with this Rite they are inoperable in combat, period.

One may not mutate themselves to mimic any CAs.

Rɪᴛᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴄᴏʀʀᴜᴘᴛɪᴏɴ -  [Lesser] [Noncombative]

An amalgamation of its own yet to a lesser degree of its more potent hellish form. Used to ‘reinforce’ their own numbers and tools with the currently known runes of bloodmagic and combined with another to bring forth their corrupted modifications.

[Mechanics]

Fire + Power - Quite predictably, becomes the malflame of the original maker. Should a Naztherak or Inferi be holding a fire corrupted weapon when it touches blood, malflame will wreathe itself wherever the user wishes on the corrupted object. The object becomes blunted and slightly lighter in the spirit of burnt wood. Weapons are dulled and yield imprecise, uneven cuts. This draws [5] Maleus from the wielder and lasts 4 emotes.

  • Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ

Projectiles that are not actively held will lose their flame.

The flame will constantly drain [5] Maleus from the wielder for another [4] emotes if not willed away.

Only objects [1] meters long may undergo  corruption

Only those who possess Maleus may will their malflame upon these objects

Follows all current Malfflame lore/redlines.

Earth + Flesh - Those who undergo Amalgamation may bring further use to their new mutation. Combining these runes upon flesh allows them to re-inforce their mutations into ‘natural’ armour upon their being, gaining the appearance of rigid and corrupted black steel with rough surfaces and the faint glow of the malflame colour of the subject with the properties of ceramic.

  • Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ

This requires ST denotion on their MA/CA.

Cannot be applied to where armour would not be able to be applied- joins, necks, etc.
One cannot wear armour while bearing this mutation
This cannot be applied to claws etc. as these areas will become difficult to move and control.

Water + Flesh - Allows the combination of flesh and steel- this allows one to fuse their flesh and bone together with a medium weapon of their choice to be able to switch between their hand and the new ‘appendage’ or the course of two emotes. To activate this one must will it and feed it [5] Rakir. Once the item has been fused with the flesh and transformed, it will gain the appearance of bone and flesh but retains its original durability. If fused with [Rokodra] it will retain its original appearance.

  • Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ

All objects that undergo this ritual lose their previous enchantments.

ST materials may undergo this ritual according  to their respective lore and ST discretion

Requires an item and ST signage, once binded the item cannot be harvested off the inferi’s corpse as it disintegrates upon death.

Requires OOC consent to wipe away enchantments during the process if the Bloodmagi does not have the item being fused mechanically

PURPOSE

Spoiler

This lore is ******* OLD, done when pallo first wrote up the concept of his iteration of bloodmagic, this was also written to pair with the Zarakal rewrite aswell, this was done to give IBM an actual infernal take to it, something ofa facelift while adding new concepts to already existing rituals, i do want to get more critique  so i can poolish it and fix it.

My biggest hot take is that while current Infernal Blood Rites is not pretty to look at, the contents of the lore are simple and easy to read and do not need a rework in the first place
