After years of being trapped within the confines of the dreaded curse, Heimweh was at last free. Several things went through her mind as all clarity returned the moment the blade broke through her sternum. Aveos. Being adopted by Redgar. Befriending all of the De'Helenor brothers. Her siblings. Konrad. Falling in love with Frederick. Her baby, Erika. All of it. All of the good moments and bad ones flitted by like a flock of birds. And then she found herself awakening in a field. As she sat up and looked around in confusion, she wondered where she was. Heimweh could hear a voice coming from over the hill. Her eyes welled up as she saw Konrad waving to her, beckoning her to follow. And eagerly did the nordling go, no longer shackled by Amber eyes control.

She was free.

It was a peaceful night, the laughters of the nearby tavern echoed faintly in the street, a small robotic wolf asleep in front of a quiet door. Inside, a man wept alone.

He could not help but feel like he failed Heimweh. Failed to save her, failed to free her form her curse.

The sadness that was concealed for years was let out freely that night, and in the following days would come the meager relief to know that his little girl's suffering had, at last, come to an end.

Erika seemed unaware her mother was truly gone, part of her still could not cope with the changes she saw when she was much younger, the now teen would sit in her room and glance over a precious gift, one that was the last ever given to her by her mother. But something felt so different now, she could not figure it out "I miss you mama" she seemed to be talking to herself in a very low tone. Slowly did she lay on her bedroom floor, curl up and hug this precious gift carefully.

Frederick would spend a another late night by the fireplace, as he sat half awake allowing his mind wonder into the fond memories he had of his wife, back when they were younger and held no worries in the world. He would continue to linger in his memories as he watched the flames providing him a little comfort and warmth, to his heart and his mind. As he would shoo away any chance of her being alive in the back of his head, as he gave up hope of that when he had to hear of her sickening more then once. Slowly he would fiddle with his ring on his right hand, distracting himself from the thoughts in the back of his head as he would drift into greater dreams of her...

The warm feeling of an embrace, a warm laugh and the cracked meow of a scraggly cat by their feet, a soul welcomed to pass along, to finally move on.

Sister from a different Mother,
I never cared,

for we had one another,

but from afar I stared

Words never graced my tongue,
my mind not sharp like yours,

The parchment was torn, the third attempt for a poem tossed into the fire place,
a visit, a word of a familiar presence, that had broken the tale to her.
Attempts to once more pick up, upon the studies for cure, despite discouragement, had not waned, if only there had been more time.

If only she had shared more words, more love, more affection.

But she hadn’t, and for that she paid, memories of her sister were faded, but dear.
A bright smile that showed the white of her teeth, hands clasped between her own, as her sister spoke of her worries over the birth of Erika, the marriage within the cold woods west of Azuras - her father chasing after Fredderick as both struggled within the knee deep snow, expeditions together over the lands of Kalldur with shared laughter.

The path home had been quiet, deathly still, sounds and sight drowned out, the blood thrumming loud through her ears, how she wished that demon that had dragged her off of the Path by Petra manifested once more, but tears were never shed.
