A CALL TO THE HEART

 

Within these times, as conflict is strung high and all eyes are set upon honing their crafts of war, family, and country. As war rages on, festivities often take a back seat. Virú wishes to ensure such does not remain the norm, and to bring color and merriment once more into daily life, does Virú invite the social season.

 

Your title, your status, your riches, let them not burden your ties, come freed from the shackles of mundanity and remember; all are equal in the social season.
 

This social season's theme? COLOR
Come in any dress and robe that shines with brilliant colors, perhaps even with a meaning.
After all, does color catch the eye!

THE EVES

 

This festive will span across three saints days,
the schedule is as follows.

 

FRIDAY | DAY ONE | 03.13.
Upon the first eve, Virú shall invite its esteemed guests within the grand ballroom - where exotic cuisine from Tawatinsuyin and Hyspian cultures will be served, those with sensitive palettes shall be offered more tame flavors, as guests are called upon to introduce themselves.
Within the eve, the ballroom shall be cleared. For what is a brilliant night without music and laughter. A ball shall take place, a more freeform experience for those to mingle at their will as the night concludes.

 

SATURDAY | DAY TWO | 03.14.

Upon the second eve, Virú welcomes your return within the town square. Banquets await, with an arrangement of tables, our guests are encouraged to mingle with one another under the strict guidance of limited time, to open your heart to the embers of chance, as see if a flame ignites. Following the feast, the gathering of chairs and music shall be offered, for a challenge of finesse and cunning to be the final one sitting amongst your peers. Thus the eve shall conclude with a race, with trickery afoot. two legs entwined by rope shall bring a pair to union, shall you stumble or stride?
 

SUNDAY | DAY THREE | 03.15.

Upon the third eve, Virú shall host yet another grand ball, the final of its season. Within the ballroom, guests shall connect to those of their fancy. As the flame guides your heart, so too shall your connections last. The eve will conclude with another race, one for those most brave who wish to conquer Pedro, House Salazar’s Steed. Within the streets of Virú a bull run shall commence! The winner shall be offered a grand gift to give the one they most admire.

+  On Sunday, a tarot card reader will be present.

Alfonso Tomas Salazar took a moment to feel a small sense of pride as he looked over the final touches for Social Season in Virú, pleased to have played his part in making this evening one of beauty and promise. Lanterns, introductions, futures to unfold, yes, it was bound to be a lovely evening. But then came the crash from the room across the hall. He closed his eyes for a moment, took a deep breath in to draw on the patience of a man who had been tested by forces greater than politics, stood from behind his desk, and without missing a step, reached for the chancla that rested nearby. With the composure of a man who was a noble entering a court to give testimony, he entered his children’s room

Marcel Godfrey Temesch perused the invitation with a gleam in his eye that no amount of chivalric training could completely disguise, the young heir trying (and failing) to keep himself in proper decorum as excitement danced across him. Candlelight, introductions, and the subtle touch of fate's hand at work had stirred him in a way that treaties and court proceedings never had. Marcel stood up too quickly from his chair, almost staggering before regaining himself and adjusting his sleeves as if he had done something to draw attention. He cleared his throat and stood up straight, folding the parchment with proper gravity, though the smile playing on his lips gave him away completely.

Estrella del Maravilla would look at the missive about the social season coming soon to Viru. She always loved celebrations, especially those that focused on Love and Togetherness. Then she closed her eyes as she thought about her late-husband.. soon a song began to echo in her mind, one she has been practicing for quite sometime now...
