PREFACE

Hark! All of East and West who share in the love and friendship of our youth are cordially invited to celebrate their ascension into adulthood. In the coming year do the sons and daughters of Sir Adrian Greye officially step into their roles of strong men and women of our house. Despite such hardships that highlighted their childhoods, such as war and the scattering of their kind, we finally come together as one family, proud of our blood and history, and commemorate what was once broken as it is mended together again.

ITINERARY

Selection of Epithets

As Greyes grow and are watched over by their elder family members, their actions are judged. Around the ages of sixteen to eighteen, the Head of House may call the parents of the Greye to confer over an appropriate epithet for them. These epithets originate from the virtues outlined in the Code of Greye, and the one that best exemplifies the Greye in question is granted to them as a stylized title.

Edrica Triathlon

In celebrating new starts upon new lands, guests are invited to partake in a triathlon among the property of Edrica and its surrounding woodlands and river. The race will start on horseback. Participants are to race down the beachfront until they happen upon a gray banner. From there, they will quickly enter boats, and return down the beach via boat race. Lastly, participants will scale nearby building supplies of Edrica to reach the very top, where a token will await the winner in a chest. The participant who collects this token will receive a prize of 500 Mina. First, second, and third place participants shall also win a puppy from Greye’s first litter of Greyehounds.

Tourney of Iron

The very first unofficial title received in the house of Greye was given unto the founder, Aurellius Greye, in a melee tournament. Upon winning every round, his peers deemed him ‘Iron Aurellius’ to which the crowd too began to chant. As a nod to our founder, a melee shall be held in his honor. First, second, and third place participants shall also receive a puppy from Greye’s first litter of Greyehounds, and the first place winner shall also win 500 Mina, along with the very first ‘Medal of Iron’

FINAL NOTE

This event is open to all in good faith. We welcome friends of old and new, as well as the stranger to our home. We pray such festivities showcases the unwavering spirit of Greye, as we guide the next generation into adulthood

"If you are not at my nameday I shall be very angry."

"I would rather not test that anger."

Invited, Kusi the Tawantinsuyin returned to his home upon the hill of Fruitfall I, and gathered his tribesmen to show them the festivities offered. He laughed, cheered and readied his father’s men for a day of joy.

"May none of the kids get too injured" she shook her head "for a Greye" as she remembered to not wish for too much of an outlandish thing.

"hopefully the Tawantinsuyin attend, they really did light up Saint´s yesterday´s event" she chuckled

Nafis side eyed the Heiress of Cascanova. He had a little corner smile on his face, neatly folding the missive and putting it away.

"They welcome friends old and new. Maybe you'll get an apology?"

Then, to avoid the likely reprimand - physical or otherwise - he'd get for such a silly joking suggestion, he fled!

Aelyn Greye was reading in Alduun's library when the missive arrived, the bird piercing the side of his head to bring his unbroken focus away from his book.
"Ow you-" he paused, taking the note from the bird before shooing it off

"About time." the Mali'ker smiled

Ser Aurus' eyes crinkled with a faint smile as he read over the missive — and then rose to walk along the shores, deeply considering each of the prospected youth of his House.

Athalina Demetria Greye  stood within the woods beyond Ildon, clad in her house’s armor as she sparred with a guard. The clash of steel faded as a messenger approached, offering her a letter.

She removed her helm, dark curls falling down her back as she tucked it beneath one arm. Her emerald eyes scanned the script, a faint scoff leaving her.

Social gatherings were hardly to her liking: too many voices, too many empty pleasantries. Still, she paused.

Her sister would want her there. Her adoptive father would expect it.

With a small, resigned nod, Athalina folded the letter.

She would attend. Only out of obligation.

Aviel Roy read over the invitation, the names and signatures upon the parchment.

“Whate’er befalls them during these festivities, let it be the will of God.” The Helfgott Patriarch drawled before feeding the paper to a flame.

Adrian put on his goggles, carefully did he mix the ingredients into the beakers. He then turned to his nephew, Aelyn,

"What's wrong with you, why are you blue?"

"I've always been blue dumbass"

"Oh right"

The pair then went back to baking a cake for the event.

A certain redheaded Matron did read over this missive now, a frown upon her face.

"As much as I do love dear Aurelian... it simply does not feel safe for me to attend such, perhaps her father might feel a bit jumpy once more."

-And with that, she did begin to draft up a letter to the young Grey girl.
