PRELIMINARY STATEMENT

Beyond my obligations to the study and practice of magic, I bear a solemn responsibility to safeguard and cultivate the culture of magic within our realm. It is my charge to ensure that both the Whimsical and the Natural forces remain in careful balance, preserved and moderated in accordance with the greater harmony to which all things must adhere.

Yet, the stewardship of magic alone does not exist from my duties of the protection over the lives of our people. The threat of outer entities is intertwined with the daily labours of the common citizen, of those who, by necessity rather than choice, take up arms to confront threats that fall beyond the routine duties of the Radiant and the Imperial Guard. Bound as they are to their essential posts and structured obligations, these forces cannot answer every minor petition, contract, or wandering peril that arises throughout our lands. Therefore, it is my intention to provide the populace with opportunity: the opportunity to earn honour, to forge stories worthy of remembrance, and above all, to seek adventure in service of the realm. In the spirit of the Paradisian Guild, I, as High Witch of Idunia, shall establish the Adventurer Initiative. Through this endeavour, brave individuals; men, women, and all others of steadfast heart will be commissioned to undertake quests and contracts, including the hunting of dangerous creatures, for the protection and betterment of our people. This initiative shall take form in the coming years, as I continue to receive, evaluate, and distinguish the most pressing matters from those of lesser urgency. In doing so, we shall strengthen both our realm and the bonds that unite us within it.

POLICY

Citizens of the High Kingdom of Idunia may submit formal requests to the Chamber of the High Witch and her appointed Hosts. These Hosts shall oversee the administration of quests and contracts, including the coordination of volunteer parties and the formal debriefing post quest and after. All submitted requests shall undergo careful review and classification according to degree of difficulty and risk, and shall be posted in the designated QUEST BOARD, where adventurers, guards and companies may take such request. Rewards shall be assessed and assigned accordingly. Each request shall require a formal fee, to be paid by the petitioner or the individual or party submitting the request. Such pay will then be used as  compensation and shall correspond to the number of adventurers required for the undertaking and may be rendered in Mina or in agreed-upon goods and provisions.

Jobs are separated into two types of Job categories. These are Contracts and Quest. Each contain their differences, A quest- is a longer Job, maintaining multiple days, Longer travel, multiple location stops and long rest, and overall harder difficulties. A Contract is short, and varies in difficulty. These are more local jobs, requiring less effort or even numbers. Jobs also have three type of difficulty ranging from;

Voluntary

Normal

Hard

Difficult

Voluntary Jobs serve no rewards, however this is not easy either, Jobs with Voluntary difficulty may also be considered Hard depending on what the Job is, whereas Normal, Hard and Difficult must contain rewards, and one must expect loss of life or even failure. They must also expect long journeys, in which the expecting party might find themselves away from home for a very long time.

Spoiler

OOC: This does not constitute a SOFT PK, Player events cannot force PK or soft PK anyone, thus players are free to rp the event not happening if the event has been seperated into TWO parts. HOSTS must convey this at all times if their events are multi-part eventlines where the party is gone for a long time.

Rules

  • PLAYER HOSTS must adhere to CRP rules and COMBAT rules for big events, and must set them up themselves, with their own script, rulesets, and story. Help can always be given!
  • PK EVENTS cannot be done in player events, that is an ST exclusive ability and permission.

    (Note: Further rules can be added if loopholes are found and reported due to mal behaviour of the hosts/ Adventurers.)
