'To be blind in a world not worth seeing.'

No great tome or parchment would be left behind for the likes of Tomrim Frostbeard. He was not one to write.

Nothing more and nothing less than a son and a memory would he leave to his people. His axes dulled beyond use.

But for what memory would remain would be a grand one. A tale of a simple dwarf.

Tomrim fought. Minotaurs. Dragons. Deadspawn. He was a beast slayer.

Ice witches and bears. Creatures of all types.

For the betterment of all living and dead. For his kin. For the pure of heart. He fought for freedom. For life to be happy.

It is what he was fond of. It is all he could give to a world that he could never see.

He would not bare ill will to the likes of any. He had lived simply. And he had died simply.

In the halls of his people did The Blind Dwarf bring upon such lasting vengeance. One final throe from a grizzled dwedmar. Aged by time. Aged by battle. And ready to meet his kin in the halls of Dungrimm. To be judged.

As those that fled for the docks made ready; The Blind Dwarf settled in the center of a long narrow bridge. And there he would remain to stem the tide of the ever-marching Imperium forces.

His sight gone long ago was never enough to stop him before.

It would not be enough to stop him now.

After an hour. Beset by all sides. Tomrim was given his final resting.

At the end of all things he looked up through the darkness one final time.

In that moment.. He could see it... Such grand and beautiful color.

'Was this...' He thought to himself.. 'What I have been missing?'

((I thank everyone who I have ever interacted with on this persona. There is no amount of listing I can provide to encapsulate you all. Tomrim was a silly guy. A background. An art project- to see if I could write a blind person. And he was my first character. When I joined the server I was really lost. Unsure of what to do. And there were a handful of people who helped me get on my feet roleplaying as a dwarf. He was who I used for most big events. I lived vicariously through him to experience such amazing things. Lore. Writing. It was simply put a privilege. There are ups and down in this server. And they can never outweigh the shear amount of awesome and experience I get from it. But I know that it is time to move on. Whether or not Urguan would have won or lost this was my plan. Thank you again. <3))

Scarred, cut and bleeding, the Clan Father of the Elder Clan Frostbeard shuddered as his strong shoulders shivered, the weight of seeing Tomrin fall in the battle heavy upon his mind. Many had fallen on the day of the collapse of the Fourth Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Even more memories would be left buried in the sundered stonework. As Dugan and the remainder of his kin dredged up the anchor upon their steamship and departed from the battle, the Bearserker was silent as icy eyes gazed upon the flame that poured forth from the cove's mouth. In the smoke, Dugan made out shapes in the chaos, in evocative forms that brought his mind to the last good memory with the Blind Dwarf, deep in the Underroads where the son of Norli Starbreaker was to be recovered.

A sigh of longing was left in the ship's wake.

Rhorgvar's hammer crashed against Imperial steel as the capital fell into chaos, and through the fighting he caught sight of Tomrim nearby. The blind dwarf swinging hard into the press of imperials; Rhorgvar tried to push toward him, forcing his way through, but was suddenly grabbed and dragged back toward the exit, his gaze snapping over his shoulder as he saw Tomrim disappear into the crush, taken by Dungrimm in that moment. "May yeh foind peace amongst deh maneh who call Khaz'a'Dentrumm 'ome." He'd mumble beneath his breath.

Volden Frostbeard's bloodied eyes lift from a daze as he lay wounded before the hall of the dwarven Hall. The groans and screams of dying Dwedmar fill his ears as the sons of Horen end the suffering of the warriors of Urguan about him. Pulling himself up from the cold stone he followed the rest of his hobbling kin down through the deep roads to the harbor, the last vestige of his people.

He had not seen Tomrim since before the last push of the siege commenced. As he passed the blind dwarf on the last bridge, he placed a firm hand on his shoulder "Dungrimm calls" he said "May my father greet ye and embrace ye, and may ye sit beside him and sup for eternity" his last remark to the blood stained dwarf. Onward Volden went with his kin, to board the last ship departing from their homeland.

[!] The Halls of Khaz'A'Dentrumm echoed with the ringing of bells, signaling the arrival of another fallen Dwed. Paragon Gror made his way to meet the fallen warrior at the gates, for even if they thought themselves unworthy of recognition, he knows a true warrior when he sees one. "Welcome home, Tomrin."
