GOOD MEN AND WOMEN OF CASCANOVA, as in times past, the Crown of our Most Holy Imperium has decreed active participation of its people in the legislation of the Lex Imperialis. Through the promulgation of the Imperial Senate, our Emperor and his Privy Council have made it abundantly clear that they desire for the active engagement of you, the man or woman reading this, in the betterment of our Empire, in the betterment of our lives. And so, as one who has stood by Cascanova’s side ever since the treacheries of our esteemed and so dearly missed Lotharia, through our exodus and the olive branch extended by the benevolent late Emperor Hadrian I - hallowed be his name - I see it fit to put my name forward for candidacy.

 

MY PLANS ARE QUITE SIMPLE, and strive not only for the betterment of the farmer, the worker, of Cascanova - but the Imperium at large. For ease of reading, I shall separate these plans into Principles and Legislations, for I believe wholeheartedly that one is base for the other;

 

PRINCIPLES

• Principle of Duty, that it is my belief that every man and woman has a duty to the Empire, be it as a soldier, farmer, educator, entertainer, et cetera. Diligence in duty leads to rewards; recognition, compensation, promotion, et cetera.
• Principle of Faith, that it is my belief that every man and woman of the Empire has a duty to remain faithful and adhere to the decrees and dogmas of the Church of the True Faith, and that legislation should be made in respect and observation of faith, with no legislation ever trespassing the grounds of faith, and vice versa.
• Principle of Service, that it is my belief that every man and woman who has served their time to the Most Holy Imperium, has thus not only earned peace in their life, but that such peace should be guaranteed by the state - be it local, or national.

 

LEGISLATION

• Creation of a Veteran’s Pension for soldiers of the Conquest of Azuras that have since retired - either medically or by age. Be this pension monetary or material - such as property - in order to be eligible, an individual must adhere to a series of criteria, to be elaborated upon the proper creation of the bill.
• The accessibility of education - both intellectual and spiritual - to the rural areas of our Empire. The knowledge in intellect and faith of our Empire is unmatched throughout history, and it is the duty of the legislation to guarantee that any who wish, have access to it, should they strive to learn.
• Proliferation, professionalization and popularization of the Imperial Immigration system and internal processes surrounding the massive number of Human and Non-Human refugees into our Most Holy Imperium. With the conquest of Urguan, dissolution of the Horde and absorption of Elven states, it is my belief that the Imperial Immigration system should work hand-in-hand with the Imperial Census’ enumerators and assure the proper localization of these individuals.
• Creation and installation of the Centre of Imperial Culture, a location dedicated to the many cultures of our Imperium and celebration of them, for educational and leisure purposes, where - for instance - a woman and her son can go to in order to learn more about the many peoples of our Empire, in fun and intuitive ways.
• Cataloguing and naming all of the roads of the Imperium - which now spans the known world - basing the names of Emperors past and present, Imperial heroes, Dragon-blooded ancestors, et cetera. Such an endeavour would be a joint effort of the Imperial Senate with the National Geographical Society [NGS].

 

IT IS MY INTENTION that, though most of my plans pertain to the Empire at large, the people of Cascanova see the wisdom and benefits of their fruition, given our close proximity to the Imperial Crownlands. Cascanova stands at the precipice of opportunity; it has the opportunity to be a cultural, economical and mercantile center - and it is with your vote of confidence, that I vow to bring these opportunities to fruition, hand in hand with the Imperial Senate and our Baroness.
