I

THE FIRST

The Stem

As Spring rears its head, and the Winter snows clear, Petra enters into a season of rebirth. The Autumn Meadowlands, wreathed in auburn and umber, still flower with the season's dawn — as snowdrops' heads rear, daffodils peek above the once-frosted earth, and bluebells chime amongst the meadows. This is a time of celebration.

Hence — Le Bal des Pétales!

A grand ball shall imminently be held in the ballroom of the Palais Madelaine, where dancing and frivolity shall be the order of the day. Skilled musicians will serenade those whose plucky feet wheel around the floor; the gay melodies and jaunty rhythms will accompany your evening at our pleasure. Food too will be in plenty, served by the finest cooks and chefs of the land.

THE SECOND

The Bud

A hunt! A hunt! But not of deer, nor rabbit, nor pheasant; no. A hunt for the Petrine Laurel itself — its bountiful wreath hidden somewhere in the palace or gardens. Tucked into some dark and unseen corner, awaiting curious hands to ****** it from its obscurity, to wrestle it into the light where we all might rejoice.

Pitted against your fellows, we will task you, on this very evening, to locate the laurel and return it to its rightful place.

THE THIRD

The Petals

The crowning glory to our festivities hails an ancient but refreshed cultural tradition, plucked from our Riverlands and planted in the Autumn. Long have our traditions of chivalry stood as the pride of our Commonwealth — shining bastions of what is good and righteous.

Upon your entry you will be provided with a guide, a code of sorts, which spells out the hidden meanings behind flowers. Red may signify love, yellow friendship, or green envy. One may bring flowers with them, or take them from the arrangements at the Palais, and then present your desired message to another. We invite you to use this opportunity for grand declarations, full of heart and gusto, as you offer your emotions to another.
