Y THE GRACE OF GOD, and by the authority invested in Our person by His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor of Azuras and of all Mankind, We do set forth this edict:

Our house values the men and women who serve, especially those who prize themselves as gunners of the Hartwell stock. Know that any harm put before our comrades is seen as a direct affront to the grace and kindness afforded by those of House Tiber. So, let us engage in conversation, and settle this dispute.

Upon landing on this continent, my stock has been – for the most part – kind and servitorial men and women, offering our aptitude in artillery weapons, including those of our cigar brand. However, this hospitality has not been returned. On a standard day, my soldier, Hubert, found himself in the vacant tavern of Alba, and engaged in a night of celebration for our recent success in contracts. To my surprise, a man adorned in plates of gray and green insulted his honour and insulted our Barony. Further to this, he then followed my Hartwell Gunner out of the tavern, exiting the city within Alba, and then, attacked him on the road near Summerhold, cutting off two fingers.

This armour was, upon the recounting of my gunner, identified to be from the Principality of Reinmar–we are unsure what motivates those of the Princedom to attack our small barony–perhaps, it is due to our ballistas facing your allotted land, or simply because we are cooler than you.  For this, we ask:

I | CONCESSION.

We ask for a delegate of the Principality of Reinmar to meet us at our Castle Clapton to understand and mediate this conflict.

II | PAYMENT.

If a concession or engagement does not need to be made, we ask for a sum of two-thousand mina to be directed to our bank, to pay for the surgery of poor Hubert who has lost his finger.

III | MEETING.

If mediation does not work, we ask our glorious Emperor to aid in finding a reasonable outcome for this slight.

We grace ourselves in the trust of our men, and poor Hubert, he is known for his loyalty – we have raised him to a man that, once of a poor shelter, is now free of those stresses. Heed this call.

Patsy watched as Hubert whom were battered and wounded by the Reinmari fell before the Gunner, he shifted down to hoist up his brother and carry him to the Tiber Keep, with blood staining his glistening grey armor as he set Hubert down before Lord Tiber.

Vesta Tiber cries. Not for any great reason. She’s five and sees everyone around her in a panic.

Hubert soon arrived to the Tiber Keep, flailing with his arming sword to no avail. Without his fingers, his grip remained unsteady.

"An infantry-man of Reinmar took my fingers, mi'Lord! I swear it!" He knelt ahead of Cassius.

Daniel Carpenter clenches his fist in anger, he contemplates slamming the wall. His frustration is vented in his words.

"Those Reinmaren have gone too far this time." He stated.

Lionel Tiber rushed into Castle Clapton, hearing the distress unfolding the above. His eyes befell the duo of Patsy and Hubert in the stairways--their blood-stained armor and the cloak which wrapped around the ruin that was his hand. The blood has certainly soaked through it already, he reached to grasp his good arm, aiding him alongside the rest to stand before the Patriarch of House Tiber; Cassius. Following the conversation, there was but one answer;

"We must give them the Clapton Special, brother."  he spoke to Cassius, and wiped his forehead down.

Rodimar Barclay read the missive, somewhat confused as he continued to read on. He stood from his seat and made his way to the barracks to check if anyone had possibly stolen a suit of armor but found the stores untouched. How this could have happened left him rather baffled. He decided then that it would be no trouble to clear things up with their neighbors atop the mountain where Lorraine once stood.

"Perhaps breaking bread would do us some good. All will be sorted and the good graces of the Chief of Chiefs will make all right again."

He decided then to make his way back to the keep for a night's rest before he'd plan to meet with the Hartwells, though he struggled to rest, wondering still perhaps if the walls were compromised and someone had stolen from their armorer. It would all come to him when he awoke, surely.
