-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Because I have lived in the U.S. for nearly 13 years, my English should be sufficient.

-Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a colorful, mature, and active member of the other minecraft servers I have played. Although homework and extracurricular activities may bog me down at times, I am always able to squeeze time out for servers I love.

-How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I can usually get about 1-2 hours a day, so the average week should yield around 10 hours or so.

-How long have you played minecraft?: 6 months

-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: To be honest, I have only done VERY limited amounts of roleplay during my minecraft experience (around 1-2 hours on a random server). I would think that role-playing is assuming the role of a certain character with a specific background and culture. Instead of acting out the character like any random ‘ole person in the modern world, one must be consistent to that character’s background, and the fictitious world around him. However, one can implement some of his/her own personality into the character and shape that character into a unique individual within his particular community.

The point of role-playing is to create a unique and “exciting” world, shaped by all the players in that world. All the members should be acting consistently as if they made up the cast for an epic movie/novel.

-What do you expect this server will be like?: I have high expectations for this server, after the videos I have watched the trailer. It should be a server that is versatile for everybody joining, as in one can focus on building if he/she wants, or focus on coordinated battles against other factions.

-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Of all the servers I have tested out, I have spent the most time on BuildCraft and the Dancin' Kitteh Server. BuildCraft became dull after lag and immature people started taking over the server. Currently, Dancin' Kitteh is down, and that server has little hope continuing.

-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Yes, I have fully read all of the rules on the Lord of the Craft website. After reading this question, I have taken the time to read over the lore section of the website.

-Name the 4 races on this server. The humans, the dwarves, the elves, and the orcs

-How did you hear about us?: I first discovered the server on minestatus.com, and watched videos of youtube.

-Did you vote?: Yes, I voted on all three links.

-What was your favourite Law?:"War is RP. Yelling and killing will occur. Responses are not required" This Law reiterates the role-play nature of the server, and gives all players the obligation to make the server exciting!

-What was your least favourite Law?: I could not find a single law in the list that is flawed by nature. They all look great!

-Biography: Sam is the son of James and Sarah Maton. Born into an impoverished family in a remote part of Aegis, Sam learned a bit of every trade to make a living. Although not the brightest boy in his community, he was well-known for his perseverance and honesty.

One of the most influential people in Sam’s life was Sam’s father. James Maton was a cynical, headstrong man, and he believed deeply in honor and hard work. Ever since Sam was a child, James discouraged Sam from reading lore books of the elves and dwarves, insisting that Sam should only worry about their family’s present situation and make an honest living. James taught all the basic skills to Sam, including farming, fishing, smelting, mining, fencing, and cutting wood. Through his father’s constant demands and drillmaster tactics, Sam acquired an overwhelming tenacious personality and sense of honor.

One day, Sam's father struck a fortune by discovering a handsome sum of gold ore in his humble mines. Sam was given the task to sell the ore off to a nearby town, but bandits came across his route and ransacked his cargo. Barely escaping with near fatal wounds, Sam passed into a state of unconsciousness for several days. Waking up starved, ragged, and penniless, he realized that he had floated down a river into the strange and fantastic Kingdom of Oren. There, in the distant horizon, stood the grand capital city of Oren, AlKhazar. Realization that myth (in those lore books his father called “fairy tales”) had become reality filled Sam with a sense of wonder. However, Sam was also overcome with shame by his own incompetence, and vowed to find his family only when he makes a name for himself. Thus the adventure begins....

-Character Age: 16

-Character Appearance: Sam is a plain, wiry lad with brown hair and mild freckles.

-Character Personality: Sam is a tough, hard-working, and curious young man. He believes in the righteousness of honor and honesty, and remains extremely loyal to all his friends. Sam’s peers love to pull a joke on Sam at times, due to Sam’s gullibility and trusting nature. One girl in his community remarks that “Sam is a nice young man to be around, but he is as bright as a dim candle in a wet cave.” Sam’s main flaw is his lack of self-confidence, because having a head-strong father meant that he was always following his father’s shadow. He is used to being commanded, and cannot think for himself on personal issues.

-Your ambitions: Although Sam’s father insisted on leading a plain life and making an honest and humble living, Sam always desired to explore the world. Memories of the Cloud Temple were long gone, and tidbits of information on the outside world could only be acquired through his grandfather’s lore books and the village elder’s tales. Sam always dreamed of being someone with high recognition, prestige, and status to make his father truly proud of him. However, Sam has no clear goals for achieving that dream.

-Can your character read or write?: His literacy was self-taught with the assistance of lore books his grandfather has left on the rusty shelves. Although his father strongly discouraged such “waste of time”, Sam had the vision that someday literacy will come in handy. Sam is capable of reading and writing simple sentences, but his vocabulary is severely limited.

-Can your character mine?: No. Sam’s father was a skilled, part-time miner, but Sam never quite developed a strong liking for it. Sam can only handle the pickax to break up cobblestone, nothing more.

-Are you a capable builder? No. Sam cannot build anything of aesthetic appeal. He can only put together makeshift shelters when he REALLY needs to.

-Can you wield a sword?: Yes. Sam was taught fencing since he was 8, and he learned how to wield a rapier and standard swords. Through constant sparring and mob hunting, Sam is refining his skills to become a Master Swordsmen.

-Enjoy Farming?: No. Sam has the ability to farm wheat, as his family always needed his help to tend the fields. However, that is the only crop Sam can successfully harvest, and he certainly does not enjoy the monotonous work.

-Does your character have any special skills?:] Sam has absolutely no grasp in sorcery and other exotic abilities. However, Sam has keen eyesight and a steady hand, so he can easily shoot an arrow up to 80 meters of effective range. Also, Sam is learning to smelt ores up to 99% purity and smith out some impressive weapons and armor.
