((This is set after the fall of Al'Khazar, when resources are scarce...))

Stepping across the well traveled king's road, Levant hums a soft cheerful tune to himself, absorbed in his own world. As he ventures out in the direction of the Whispering Isles, he pauses briefly to examine the foilage around him. Admiring how the branches curl about and merge together, forming a canopy of leaves above his head. Quite soothing; a tiny smile tugs at the corners of his lips. Letting his gaze trail further along the pathway, he sees a crowd of people surrounding a merchant's stall. The merchant is neither tall, nor short; he is powerfully built and has the appearence of a well fed ox. Dumb faced, but strong. Levant stifles a laugh behind the back of his hand as he watches the merchant enthusiastically advertise his wares. The man is a good public speaker, Levant noted, as he watches him manipulate the crowd.

"This here is the finest iron across all of Aegis. I'll sell it to you for 10 minas an ingot!" The Merchant says with a bellow.

The crowd swarms in, practically pouring their minas over the merchant. Levant eyes the iron from afar. Something isn't right... Pushing his way through the crowd he makes his way up to the table. Looking the merchant up and down, Levant frowns slightly. Turning his gaze to the table-top, which was covered in the 'finest' iron in Aegis. Taking an ingot into his hands, he turns it over. Levant's eyes widen.

"Hey don't touch that, unless you're buying it!" The merchant said, attempting to ****** the ingot away, but Levant quickly snapped it out of his reach.

"I dislikes liars," Levant says, giving the man a level look. "I dislike people who con others out of their money even more." Levant's eyes narrow as he peers down at the Merchant. You sick pig, taking advantage of desperate times.

The Merchant swallows, "I am not a con man," he says as if insulted. "What do you take me for?"

Levant places the 'iron ingot' back down on the table, closing his eyes for a moment. He draws out a silver knife from his belt and tests its weight in his hand, nodding when he is pleased, he smashes its hilt against the ingot. The bar of supposed iron cracks, and turns into bits of dust.

"This isn't real iron," Levant says, peering up at the crowd.

(( This is me as a vampire! Rawr :P ))

Kendra leans against a wall casually, while watching the mob of citizens slowly turn their priorities from needing the ingots to killing the merchant. She smirks as she sees the shopkeepers face turn deathly pale. The man hastily attempts to close his stall window, but cannot as the angry horde rips the walls themselves out of the stall's frames. Kendra stands fully and proceeds to the stall. She continues through the crowd with ease, as everyone backs away as she approaches. She smiles at herself in all her pride. Nobody can touch me, She thinks to herself as she reaches the front of the crowd. The shopkeeper is dead in the rubble of his stall and the buyers are all frantically trying to retrieve their Minas. She stops as she reaches the foot of the dead body, and the looters pause and look up at her face. Their greedy eyes turn to petrified grimaces as they rise and back away slowly, as if she is an undead with her staff pointed. Kendra grabs the foot of the shopkeeper and pulls him up onto her shoulder. Some are rather hesitant of letting her touch the man, but decide against making themselves noticed in the group. Kendra casually stalks back through the opening she has made in the crowd and enters into the dark forest of Cynoth in which no one is brave enough to follow her into. She makes a slight remark as she leaves, "Don't forget to have the funeral." The people stare at the general area in which disappeared into, and then continue looting the stall as if nothing happened.

Kendra comes across a small cave alcove, and pauses, glancing at the site slightly, then deciding against stopping, Not so greedy.... She reminds herself that she is not the only living soul in these woods. She begins to feel the burden of the heavy man, but toughs it out. I've carried much worse. She continues to walk in what would be complete darkness to any mortal. She closes her eyes as she walks, knowing the path so well. She thinks of nothing in particular. A brief memory of Levant's pained face as she entered the crowd back in the city. He doesn't care about me anymore. Control yourself. She opens her eyes as she feels the familiar packed mud in this particular area. She sees the blood stains that are dried on the trees, and identifies a specific bloodstain that she has not seen before. What has Dante done now... She ignores the new mark and travels not too far to the warmest place in the whole forest, the only place that receives any sun. She comes across the lake she likes to call the Red Sun, due to the fact that at sunset, the sun reflects on the blood-filled water. She throws the body into the water, and it sinks to the bottom. She then proceeds to dive in after it, and catches it as it slowly recedes down. She swims until she reaches the small hole to enter to her home. She swims into it and comes out on the other side, which has air, due to the rise in elevation of the cave roof and the wall blocking the rest of the lakewater. She clambers out, sodding wet, but does not care. She pulls the body out after her, and starts to walk into the darkness. No creature dares live in this cave, for she lives here, and the temperature is below so many degrees no natural organisms could survive unless possibly reptilian, so she does not bother to unsheath her blade. After about a minutes walk, she begins to approach a light in the near horizon. It grows larger until she comes across a door with a gap near the top that acts as a window. Through the gap, she sees her house, with Dante sleeping on the stone slate of a bed. She enters and throws the carcass onto the table to her left. It makes quite a noise, and Dante awakens. At first he is irritated, but then sees Kendra and a smile comes to his face. "You were out for some time," he comments. "That is of no matter, get to cleaning the man," she snaps back. A sound of footsteps then echoes throughout the cave. Footsteps of a mortal.

(( What happens next? Who has discovered them? I know this sucked btw but I did it because the thread was dead :P ))

Bircalin lost sight of the familiar woman as he entered the dark cavern, clutching the deer calf over his shoulder, bow in the other hand. Realising the calf most likely gave him away as it burdened him, making his footsteps clumsy.

He rested it against the damp rock wall as he drew an arrow from his quiver. Noticing the arrows were wet, sodden and useless he carefully laid his bow on the calf. Gripping his sword's handle gently in it's sheathe, he approached the dim light. Curiously peering inside to see the carcass, beside an odd man. Beside the odd man, was the woman he knew so familiar.

" Kendra....? "

( Didn't want to jump right in and murder you! ^_^
