Enor's Journal

With the brewing of this rebellion, much is unclear to me of our future as a Nation . The Phoenix Brothers or what ever they call themselves, are foolish for what they have started. In a time like this, when the undead are at their strongest, I would have thought they would realize the unstable time we are in. But, it seems they have such a hunger for power, that they would rather tear our nation apart then to try and make Oren stronger.

The Rebels have become more vocal, they now are openly opposing myself, and those who support me. I have grown tired of the confusion and uncertainty that they cause. I must find a way to stop them, no matter the cost. If they acquire their demands, Oren will fall and the undead will have free reign in all of the north.

New Alstion and Winterfell have fallen. My Guards, led by some of the traitors, never tried to help defend. I have attempted to persuade them that this is folly, they should support their King and Nation they once pledged themselves and attempt to draw our nation closer together. But, alas they refuse and continue their scheming for power. Power... that alone is what fuels their flame. Not honor, dignity, and respect for their country. Something must be done soon about them.

After months of searching, I have found our only hope. He is a strong military leader, capable of great things. I believe with the aid of his already established military that he shall be the one to squash the rebellion and bring Oren closer together. I have no doubt that the rebels will continue to fight against him, regardless of the effect it will have on the rest of Aegis. Their greed knows no end.

Today is the day I approach Gaius. He is the one I have chosen to take my place on the throne. I hope he can accomplish the task at hand of eliminating the rebellion that threatens to rip our Nation apart. If he succeeds, it will hopefully bring not only our nation, but all of Aegis closer together. Today, with a heavy heart I hand my crown and the hopes of our Nation to Gaius.

Gaius now has taken the crown. He has pledged to do myself and his country well. I pray he stays true to his word. For if he does not, we will lose all hope. Today, is the day of importance. Today, is the day we see, if the human nation will remain. Today, is the day, that all men will remember.

Despite Gaius’s Best Efforts, the men known as the Phoenix Brothers have gotten their wish. They have claimed half of Oren for themselves. Gaius has the eastern half, and they control the west. Today, is a day of sadness for myself. I would have liked to see Gaius prevail against these men, but it seems to him that he believed letting them have what they wanted was the only way. I do not like his decision, but I would rather side with him then those power hungry war-mongers.

Lady Dawn and I have been friends for quite some time. Both of us have held the crown, and both of us have lived to see Oren fall and rebuild. With her new born child, neither the west nor east is a safe place for her. I wish for a safe and secure place away from the destruction and chaos for any who seek it.
