Do you have a good grip of the English language/grammar? Yes I am a primarily English student undertaking 4 units(of Eng.) for my HSC.

Description of myself; I am a high school student currently undertaking my HSC. I have many hobbies; of which reading and minecraft are just a few. I also enjoy hanging out and going out with my friends, and I am a HUGE Lord of The Rings fan!

How much time could you be on the server weekly? I would guess at 10-20 hours; this depends on how much schoolwork I have to undertake.

How long have you played minecraft? For marginally more than six months.

What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind? To tell the truth, I haven’t really been a member of much roleplaying as of yet, but would really like to try it. Where better to start than in the fantastic fantasy world of LOTR!

What do you expect this server will be like? I think that this will be a great adventure for myself. Having only played on a few (now obsolete) servers but racking up a great playtime in singleplayer mode, this will give me a greater view of how big servers work, give me the chance to interact with many players of different backgrounds and experiences and to overall become a better minecraft player in my own right.

What other servers have you played on and why did you leave them? The main server that I have been an uncompromisingly faithful member of over the past half-year has been Petri’s ‘RaidSMP’ server. I would not have left this server if it was my own choice but recently Peter has decided to shut the server down due to a ‘lack of fun’. This has been the only server that I have played on, but with my application for whitelist and building rights on this server I hope to widen my experiences.

Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules? What about the lore? Yes, I did indeed read all of the rules and ‘expectations’ that this server has for its players including the ‘IC’ and the ‘OOC’ expectations as to not disturb the epic rpg background of the server and am happy to comply with these rules; eager, even!

Name the four races on this server; Dwarves, Humans, Elves and Orcs.

How did you hear about us? The former owner and admin of my old server RaidSMP posted a Youtube video that tickled my LOTR-craving imagination and instantly made me type in the IP and check it for myself.

Did you vote? Yes, I did.

What was your favourite law? I liked the no destroying land law, as I often work very hard and others come and manage to completely grief and ruin all of my work by doing what this fantastic law forbids.

What is your least-favourite law? I did not find anything wrong with any of the laws; laws are essential to safeguard the many from the vices of the few; and I do not at all plan to be ‘one of the few’!

What is your Lord Of The Craft forum name? Son_Of_Balin

Character name? Azaghal or Thorlek; hopefully the former but if it is either taken or not suitable for some reason, then the latter would suit.

What is your race? I would like to join the Dwarf race.

Biography; Azaghal is a former Dwarf-lord of a lost land; one day in the nether realms of Aegis he awoke, stranded in a cave with a shattered memory of his past from a hefty knock on the head while mining.

Azaghal climbed up from the fearsome depths of the mine to behold his raided village; fire burning ferociously as far as the eye could see. He ran as fast as his stubby legs could take him to his own lordly home, only to find his family slaughtered; sons laying on the bloody floor with broken axes, and surrounded by a veritable host of dead orcs; his wife and daughter burnt to death in the top storey of their hand-crafted home.

Finding a group of small survivors Azaghal was told by the only surviving female; Baui’len; that the raiding party of orcs was led by a rogue dwarf from their own clan for many jewels and riches.

Azaghal swore bloody revenge upon the cursed soul who had caused him so much pain, and vowed that he would not stop at anything to get vengeance on the one responsible. He is now travelling the land, sourcing intelligence from many-a-fellow dwarf and also other races, but his anger at his inability to help his lost family ignites itself any time that an orc crosses his path…

Character age; 158 years of age.

Character appearance; a 4’8, short Dwarf for even their benign standards, what Azaghal loses with his height, he gains with his skill with his axe when sobre, and the length of his beard!

Character personality; Azaghal is a hot-headed, short-tempered dwarf lord, who is quick to defend his name and his subjects, but is quicker to insult others. Lately however he has been indisposed and not himself as he attempts to overcome personal challenges and search inside himself; while this has been going on he is much more thoughtful and smart of late, having been on-track to find those who murdered his family and the majority of his clan in cold blood.

Ambitions; Azaghal is trying to simply secure a mining contract under the command of another great Dwarf city and put his prodigious skills to use, as when he puts his mind to it, he is one of the best. Azaghal also looks to find a place to live; he wishes to spend some time alone, or perhaps with another as he ponders what he should do with his life in order to revenge himself on those who took his family from him. He is also a great warrior who will take up arms to defend his land or that of his lord; as he knows how necessary this is to keep the Dwarves united and protect the land against enemies; having grown to adulthood defending his homeland against ferocious Orcs and Goblins.

Can your character read or write? Yes, Azaghal is proficient in both reading and writing, one of the perks of growing up in the high position of son of a dwarf lord.

Can your character mine? What a question! Azaghal is one of the more dedicated, pioneering miners among his people. Not taking into account his high status, he has been known to disappear down into the mines of his people for weeks at a time, coming back with many valuable minerals, and the armour of many a dead goblin who tried to interrupt his ‘sacred’ mining process!

Are you a capable builder? Azaghal is a Dwarf who has dabbled in the art of building, and is proficient in his own right, but his heart will always lie in hewing the very minerals from the living rock, and let others build structures to house them in!

Can you wield a sword? Azaghal has trained with a sword but is a veritable master of the axe. Having trained from a very young age with the iconic weapon of his people, Azaghal is a Dwarf who, when sobre, can defeat the most trained opponent; however he despises with a passion those who would stand from afare and use bows; the very weapons of cowards in his mind.

Enjoy farming? Pah! Azaghal is no farmer, he is one who enjoys the intrinsic arts of mining and warfare but would rather leave petty farming to others he thinks are less than himself!

Does your character have any special skills? Azaghal is an absolute master of the axe, he is numbered in the top five Dwarves in the art of ‘axe mastery’ of all time. That said, he can hold his own with any weapon known to Dwarves and Man.

I have really very enjoyed the development of this character and sincerely hope that you take my application in mind, as minecraft is one of my veritable ‘virtues’ and I believe this server has much potential for development in terms of myself as a player and also as a server in its own right.
