Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name: WillRenshaw

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No.

How old are you?: 16.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: United Kingdom, GMT + 00.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes. English is my native language, and I am good at grammar.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm friendly, I at-least TRY to be helpful, and I love to role-play. It's one of my passions.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: At-least 5 hours a week. Almost definitely more.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I've been roleplaying for about 4 years now. I started off on Habbo Hotel, roleplaying in a game called MafiaRPG. It was mainly text based, and so was pretty basic.

After that I moved onto a game called SA-MP (San Andreas Multi-player), and a server called LS-RP. It has very strict roleplay rules, and is still today one of the most prestigious roleplay communities I've been in. It was modern-era roleplay, so drug dealers, gangs, business men and the like. A few people in this community are from there too. Role-play, to me, is taking on a role of some-one you are not. Obviously. But, it opens up a whole new world of opportunities and excitement, with endless possibilities and adventure.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming, as I've come to learn, is the use of Out Of Character knowledge in an In-Character sense. So, for instance, if you see someone's name through a wall, and you use this knowledge to your advantage in-game by exploiting it. Power-gaming, as I've heard, is the use of un-realistic roleplay, or the forced roleplay of others. For example, roleplaying you have super-powers, or forcing someone to do something via your roleplay actions, without their consent.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

A server of great quality roleplay, with very friendly members and a server of much fun.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I've only played on mainly build server, such as the Minecraft Middle Earth Server. I haven't left it, I go on it once in a while, but it gets quite repetitive to just build over and over again.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes.

How did you hear about us?:

From another role-play community.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

I haven't, yet. I will after I post this.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: WillRenshaw

In-Character:

Character Name: Aventus Peranto

What is your Race?: Human

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Aventus is a young man, with smokey brown hair and deep blue eyes. He likes to think of himself as an intellectual, an adventurer, and a lady's man, but in reality - he is neither of the above. Just a clumsy man, who blunders into adventures by accident.

Aventus grew up in a family of hunter gatherers, who lived off the land in a small lake-side cottage. His father, Penatus, lived in the area for years, and was well known by the people in the land. He would hunt game, and would sell their pelts and meat to travelling traders who would pass by his house on the way to the market. It was a loving family, secluded away from the poverty and war that were about else-where in the land. Aventus was a naive boy growing up. He thought himself an adventurer, perhaps from reading too many story-books his father would purchase from the travelling merchants. He would clamber over rocks and hoist himself up into trees and pretend to be fending off his homestead from bandits and the like.

His life was not a story of woe, or of all that much excitement. It was a life of content, living away with his family by the idyllic lake-side, with a steady in-come and comfortable life-style. And yet, Aventus longed for more. What more? Well, he didn't quite know. But he wanted more. His naive little mind had dreamt up such things of fairy-tales, with him slaying warewolves and riding winged beasts around the mountain tops. He was a moderately smart child, and yet he thought he was a genius, an intellectual. He was a pseudo intellectual, much to the annoyance of his family. He would often make ridiculous and down-right stupid theories about the land in which he lived, based mainly on the fictional stories he had read. He believed giants were in-fact the cause of the mountains that had sprung up, and that the lake were the tears of a elven-queen long forgotten. He was, if anything, just a deluded naive young man. And yet, it was charming.

One day, armed with countless books he had never read, (nor ever would read) and a stubby short-sword, he left his home-stead in search of adventure, in search of fame, fortune, and recognition for his (or atleast, what he believes) genius. Stumbling over rocky outcrops, and cascading into thorn-bushes, Aventus was thoroughly in over his head, but not to him. He was an adventurer!

Your characters ambitions: To find wealth, adventure, and recognition for his intelligence. Despite the fact he has none.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? "Stop fowl beast-men!" Cries Aventus, withdrawing his pathetic looking short-sword from its scabbard. "Be gone!".

The bandits began to chuckle, and drew their enormous, rusty, blood-dripping axes from their waists. Aventus, after some quick calculations, realised he was in a rather tricky predicament. So he began running in the way he came. He sprinted as fast as he could away from the gapped-toothed bandits that lay behind him. Eventually, when he thought he had ran far enough away, he dived into the shrubbery and waited. And waited. And waited. Until sunrise. And then, he carried on as he started, clumsily staggering about the dangerous wilderness.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "Hello there, my good man! Have you any books from afar? From far off lands, with tales of forgotten Elven kings, battles for war-torn lands, and tales of revolution?" Says Aventus, boldly.

"Why no.." Replies the shopkeep. "This is a butchers."
