The Charter For Lowencaster (29 Supporters)

EDIT: I'm trying to see if this WOULD be accepted. I'm still trying to find a good spot for this town.

I have found several spots near the border that would suit this town. Please pm me if you want a specific location.

MC Name:Todd877

RP Name:Head_Battlemage_Maverik

Town Name:Lowencaster

Why are you/your character starting this town? What role will it play?

I want to rp it growing around The Drunken Dragon, a magical themed tavern I also plan on opening in the new Aegis. To sum up the purpose of this town, I want it, my tavern, and all residents to present, act out, and live a magic oriented life. Since there has been to my knowledge no other town like this before, I hope to make a example for others to follow. It will also, in my mind anyways, help regulate magic rp by getting a majority of it in one place. Also, I plan to make it a neutral town, we will not collectively participate in any conflicts with other nations unless attacked. Orc raiders included.

Lore if accepted by Alras:

High in the mountains near Alras, there rests the Hall of the Battlemages. There they train in might and magic, swordsmanship and enchanting. Many magic-users are drawn to the hall, seeking knowledge and peace. Soon, a village began to grow near the base of the mountains. Shamans, druids, mages, warlocks, priests, all came to visit in the shadow of the Monastery.

Eventually, an inn was built, and more magic users came and built houses. Over time it became more than a small village. It will be the town of Lowencater.

What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time?

I would prefer that we are allowed our own self goverment. The rp logic behind it is that we are a town of magic-users. Who would want to mess with that fire-power? Of course, if we are accepted in Alras, deference will be made. But in all conflicts we remain neutral. The town would descend into chaos if magic-users decided to start dueling one another over political differences.

Edit: Here is the proposed political system.

Head Council-man (impartial magic user, possibly mage)

The Circle (representatives of the different groups)

Battle Mages (the town watch)

I plan for it to have a Head Council-man and council, with the town guard being the Battle Mages. I hope to find a player, possibly from the Mage's Guild or Druidic Circle that will be willing to do this.

To apply for Head Council-man, please pm your qualifications for this position to me.

If you want to apply for a position in the Circle, you must wait until the town is set up and the different groups will get together and chose the persons for the job.

The circle is chosen based on the votes of a group of magic users. If you are in a minority, say a alchemist, wizard, warlock, witch, or some other type you will be a part of whatever group that best fits your magic.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

Besides it being a magic rp atmosphere, the only noticable trait that the residents will show is their slight prejudice to non-magic users. Otherwise when it comes to groups, you are divided by your calling, not your race. To clarify greater golems, people rping as sentinent monsters, and to my slight charinge, Vampires (if allowed) will be allowed to congregate there.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be, and how large? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

This will be a 2.0 town with the 40x40 space. In Alras I'd take as much as I can get. I hope to expand to a city if possible.

I'm thinking in the snowy mountain valley, gives it a nice isolated backdrop.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

Each house must have one defining piece of architecture. Houses could still have the same "quirk," but it couldn't be used too often.

What do you think of this as the new lore for Lowencaster?

High in the mountains near Arlas, there rests the Monastery of the Battlemages. There they train in might and magic, swordsmanship and enchanting. Many magic-users are drawn to their hall, seeking knowledge and peace. Soon, a village began to grow near the base of the mountains. Shamans, druids, mages, warlocks, priests, all came to visit in the shadow of the Monastery.

Soon, an inn was built, and more people came and built houses. More come every day, and soon it will become more than a small village. Soon it will be the town of Lowencater.

I think the idea is great! I would love to rp my character learning magic as well and becoming a wizard in the town of Lowencaster. ((I can really see some Hogsmeade style stuff making this town awesome!))

Well i'm already to go for the new town, as soon as you get it's inn up and everything, and I actually find it...

Note that my new character suffers from multiple personality disorder, but there's nothing like a little insanity to liven up a village, right?

I know I am already a supporter but if at all possible I would love to be a citizen.

I've put you down as a possible citizen. Becuase we need to get everything in order if we are accepted, I'm keeping the current population to 15 people. If someone steps out, you will become a citizen based on your spot in line.

So am I a citizen now? I heard someone stepped out. If so can you please change my name on the list?

Sorry, no ones stepped out, you have been misinformed. Actually, I don't see your name anywhere on the list, so I will add it on as a supporter/possible citizen.

IMPORTANT:

The limit of citizens is a short term one. I will reopen applications for citizenship once the town is build and everything has settled down.
