What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Role-playing is acting as character adamantly and thinking as he would in a wide array of situations, thinking as the character would, and not as yourself.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Meta gaming is when you use IRL knowledge in-game in a situation where your character would have no knowledge of the information.

Power gaming in crude terms is giving a player no other option but to do what you ask using RP, I.E. Forcing an action on the other player without giving them a chance to respond.

What do you expect this server will be like?:A fun, interesting, and challenging experience filled with lovely people.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on the Drakorthas server, and my temple was decimated by a giant wormhole into the nether activated the owner as routine for the server we had wormhole rifts :)

I was born in a jail cell to a deadbeat thief of a mother. I only know this because of a few things that my adopted mother had told me when I was a younger...

I was put in the adoption system, And eventually a woman by the name of Melinda Frost adopted me at the age of two. She was a very sweet woman...

*tavari smiles happily remembering melinda then his face turns to gloom*

She had taught me as much of the old Elven tongue as she knew, and she had done so by the time I had reached ten i knew the language fluently . When i was about 14 she let me into her library: a massive collection of books that I was eager to read ever since discovering its existence at year three... Inside the books laid immense amounts of knowledge from many different subjects... Heh... She had books alright... From comedies to spell tomes.

By the time I had reached seventeen, she fell sick. I quickly sought out an apothecary, and he told me the only remedy he had was a herb grown only by the Druids. I offered him all of my minas... He denied. He then said the only payment he wanted was the contents of mother's library... I had no choice, so I saddly accepted, knowing the only way to cure the woman that did so much for me in my life was with this remedy... I signed his contract, but he said only after he had taken all the books would he give me the remedy. I accepted those terms as well, hoping the man was still true to his word... After he he took all of the books, he put loaded them into a cart handed me the brew and fled town in quite a hurry... I had no time to think on the matter... I had to save my mother. After returning home, I gave the remedy to my mother, and she drank it. Over the next few days, she had started feeling better. She was improving... But only for a few days... It had turned out the apothecary had laced a slow-acting poison into the brew. She... She died from the poison. She died from that damned apothecary... I wept by her body for her soul for so long...

*tavari lets out a small cry*

my first instinct was to run to that damn swindler and force-feed some of his own brew... But he was gone. I cried to myself for days...

One day, I came across a bridge. Thought of jumping into the rushing water... I wanted to see her again. I pondered the point of it all for a few hours, but she saved me... She told me to live...

After settling my own crisis, I spotted a man in the distance running towards me, screaming

"THEY'RE HERE! THEY'RE HERE!"

I leapt down from the bridge to see if the man was either delusional or if he was being serious. He told me the undead had broken the barrier and had invaded Aegis with intent on eradicating all life within... I followed the man on a journey to the portal to the Verge, to salvation. On the journey, we encountered many like-minded souls... And the fetid corpses of others... We got to the portal... We were quite a large group at the end of the journey, us like-minded souls. I was the first in... And the only in. The portal closed behind me as I leaped in. The portal closed, trapping the man that had warned me, trapping the hundreds of other denizens that were barely too slow... But I made it. I made it to the boats, I made it out of Aegis... I made it to Asulon...

Your characters ambitions: To put Melinda's death behind him and start a new life without pain... Though he will have to wrestle with the sorrow throughout the rest of his life...

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? He runs to the nearest guard post and yells for the men for help. While they might not respond, he doesn't want the elf to be killed! Fortunately the guards ran over and scared off the thieves. The elf thanked Tavari for helping him and offered him the few minas he was carrying. Tavari graciously acceptes and smiles while taking his leave.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?: With the minas in hand, tavari goes to the shop owner and asks if they sell any sort of books. He says "Ses we have one in stock. it is an old dusty unheard of novel but, but it should still be a good read!"

After telling me it was only 22 minas, I took it, tossed him the minas, and left to go read the new book.

Other Information: I might put a villan app up when i get far enough into the rp. As evidenced in the biography my character has a very short fuse. so it's possible with a traumatic event, (Like an orc attack burning down my village ) I will develop him as a villain.

I liked your app. There's just one thing wrong with it, the screenshot.

Please use the full editor feature and upload it onto the forums so it will be displayed in your post, or if you can't do that for some reason, post it on imageshack or some other well-known similiar site, then it on here.

Also, too many elipses! An elipses is the '...' people use so often when writing. I'm not denying you for that, i'm just saying I thought you used a lot of them.

You get bonus points for putting the journey from aegis to ansulon in your character biography. I really liked that. Just get a skinshot into your post and I think you'll be ready to go.

(I'm not going to deny this app just yet, i'm giving you a couple days to edit in a visible skinshot, so you don't have to re-write this whole thing, as 99.5% of it was perfect)

Eh, allright.... it's not IN the post and it's not an IMG, but it'll do. You just need wait a while now for the GMs who impliment apps to fish this out of the approved pile and whitelist you, and you can begin your journey in ansulon.
