Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name:

Stowt

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

Nope.

How old are you?:

12.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

Scotland, GMT.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

English is my first language, though I make mistakes at times. My spelling isn’t excellent but it’s not bad.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I’m a laid-back guy who enjoys games. Not much else to say.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

It depends, probably one to three hours on weekdays and around six to eight on weekends.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying is basically going into someone else’s shoes. You create a character with a base idea and over time give them traits, attributes and a personality often completely different from your own. You then interact with others and act like your character would in situations not how you would.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming:

Metagaming is basically using out-of-character knowledge in character.

So say you’re talking to someone who’s Minecraft name above their head says “Bob”, your character has no clue about this but you do. So, you proceed to say “Hello Bob.” regardless of your character not knowing his name. That is metagaming.

Powergaming:

Powergaming is when you are doing things impossible for your character to perform or foregoing traits to benefit you in the long run.

Like say you are just a regular merchant with no experience with weaponry and you meet a group of bandits on your travels. They threaten to kill you unless you give them all your good and money, obviously you behind the screen don’t want this. So, ignoring the fact you have no training in fighting of any kind you pull out a sword and start to attack them.

Also another example is:

While you attack the bandits you give them no chance to defend themselves as you emote

*Slashes the bandit’s leader with his sword causing a deep, bloody wound*

This gives the bandit no chance to parry, block or dodge the swing.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I currently have another character on the server so I know how great it is.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I haven’t played on any other Minecraft servers prior to this one.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yep, read them all through.

How did you hear about us?:

Well, it was a while ago when Reckreations made a video about the server.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

I vote often for the server, though I am not aware of any vote numbers?

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

This question is slightly unimportant.

In-Character:

Character Name:

Frerry Brandybuck

What is your Race?:

Halfling.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Frerry lived a quiet life in the small hidden town of Dunwood. He rarely had any contact with other races, preferring the company of his fellow Halflings. He generally never did anything exciting for the main-part of his life, fighting was never his strong suit. He preferred farming, drinking and having a good time.

Frerry had enjoyed working from a young age, his mother always rewarded him with his favourite pie; raspberry, at the end of long day on the fields. This was great in his opinion for he enjoyed being out in the fresh air and gathering wheat. He never moaned or gave excuses to get out of this for it had almost become a hobby, well, he didn’t have much else to do in the mornings and early afternoon. Only in the evenings was there entertainment, after finishing farming he would meet up with some others and go out for a drink. Brandy was his favourite beverage of all, his father had introduced it to him when he was young and would give him small mugful’s on occasion.

Frerry grew up very contented, for he had no worries at all. After all- what was there to worry about? Dunwood received little news of events outside, undead didn’t really think of attacking the place and went for the capital cities instead. Though, recently with the events leading up to the destruction of Aegis he fled from the safety and comfort of Dunwood and sailed away on a boat in the Verge. This had been the first time he had ever left the confines of the peaceful town and now, stuck in a foreign land he tries to search for others of his kind.

Age: 28

Personality: Frerry is a very merry and jolly little Halfling who enjoys good company and drink. He’s very friendly and outgoing, far from shy. Though, he is still unsure of the world and it’s dangers and thinks everyone’s a friend this makes him unaware of when he is being deceived or tricked.

Appearance: Frerry is a pink-cheeked young Halfling who always who tends to have a jovial smile on his face. He has short legs and hairy feet and when it comes to clothing he favours trusty hard-wearing farming clothes. ( preferably green or yellow in colour. ) He has short messy hair and odd coloured eyes. One green and one amber.

Your characters ambitions:

Frerry wishes to discover more about these other races, to explore the new lands in search for a new life.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Frerry wanders through the dark woods, he pushes through the undergrowth and discovers the two bandits attacking the elf. Unsure of what to do he panics, reaching for a stone he throws it forcefully toward the bandits feet. They notice the loud noise as the rock shatters on the cobbled path. Squinting their eyes they make out the small shape in the shadows lying in wait. They grumble in annoyance and chase him into the forest. Frerry then runs and quickly slips away into the darkness, his stature making him hard to spot. Then the bandits charge onward in the direction he was headed.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Frerry smiles cheerfully at the shop-keeper. “Go’ any brandy? I’ve worked up a mighty thirst.”

The shopkeeper grins, “I think I have something you will like young Sir!” he turns around and descends some stairs. Later the man returns with a large bottle labelled ‘Brandy: Special Reserve’

As the grotesquely large bottle appears, his eyes light up with childish glee. “Tha’ll do jus’ fine!”
