I am a casual gamer, who stumbled across Minecraft and have loved it ever since. I enjoy video games, books, and other intellectual pursuits.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Depending on school, about half an hour to an hour per day.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying for me is a chance to be another person entirely, in a different world entirely. I greatly enjoy roleplaying games (The Elder Scrolls series is my personal favorite) and this server looks excellent.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is like cheating; using techniques to alter the gameplay of a game.

Powergaming is a noob's strategy; grinding through XP/etc but not ever enjoying the game and its setting for itself, or ever really fitting in. Just powergrabbing.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I hope it will be a fusion of Lord of the Rings (one of my favorite things) and Minecraft (one of my favorite things)!

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have only played on Classic Minecraft servers, before I got the full release. I left them because they were too unstructured.

Malvegil son of Thorion

What is your Race?:

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Malvegil was born into a minor noble family of one of the Kingdoms of Man. His mother died in childbirth so his father was his only parent. From a young age, he proved to be exceptionally bright and well-suited to the intricacies of human politics. He became his father Thorion's chief advisor and administrator at the age of 12. Tragedy struck when Thorion was killed while hunting. Whether it was accident or murder is unknown. However, Malvegil was stripped of his birthright by a usurping aunt and cast out onto the streets to make his own way. He sought out a place where people such as himself were welcomed, and found the University of the city to be such a place. Here he learned the various races' languages and customs, so he is at home amongst dwarves, elves, or men. After he spent several years working as an apprentice to the scholars, he departed with a small amount of gold; enough to travel the realm. He is 27 years old, of average human stature, with fair hair and blue eyes. He very intelligent and able to do well in most fields, whether leading an army or running a business. Although physically fit and healthy, he prefers to study than to fight. Having said that, he is also a man of duty and knows that when the war drums are beaten people such as him must step forth to lead the banners.

Your characters ambitions:

Malvegil still grieves for the loss of his previous life, and has vowed to restore himself to his former position of influence. How he will do this he has not decided; however, the wealth and opportunity of Aegis consoles him that there is hope.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Reluctantly draws his sword and joins the elf in combat.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

"Good morning. I am looking for a particular text, written by one of the ancient elf-kings..."
