Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: Unfortunately I was unable to attend this year. My friend Ozy applied to this server and loves it. His fondness of this server has led me to check it out.

How old are you?: I am 25 years old.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: My name is Amber, I live in Florida with my husband and four ferrets. I enjoy writing, painting, role playing, Photoshopping, and working for a team of great people by helping them keep the peace on their official servers and sometimes Im also an extra for their wonderful Youtube series.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Aside from work, I can dedicate 14+ hours to this server - if not more.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying, to me, means taking on a character and guiding it through another world. This character can be someone who is like or different from the person you are everyday. It really depends on the direction you want to take and what is considered acceptable in the world you are selecting.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. When I RP'd on SecondLife the definitions of Metagaming was using OOC information to your advantage in a roleplay situation when, within that roleplay situation, you never made that information known through legit means. Power-gaming was defined as assuming or forcing your opponent into a corner or action they don't want to be in/do. Such as starting a fight with them, then one hit killing them without giving them a chance to block or get away.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect good RPers, but not elitist members who think they are roleplaying gods. Im hoping for a good, tight group of people who know how to have fun, stay in character, and show the world what good roleplay is all about.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: The one other server I played and left was one called imaginecraft. I left because the mods were powergaming, using god mode in 1v1 battles, ignoring player requests and grief threats, and -not- staying in character. RP was not enforced by any means, and the whole structure was just too chaotic for a server calling its self a RP server. It left a bad taste in my mouth so I moved on to find one that better suits what I am seeking.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: My username is TheEpicMango, but on the forums I just registered Mango. I may change it to my characters name if its not too much trouble - in order to avoid confusion.

Character Name: Alwa Onden

What is your Race?: Wood Elf

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): She grew up the youngest of a 5 child family in a kingdom called Llannerch. The townsfolk were wood elves who, for many years of nomatic journey, found a large, glowing oak tree perched high atop a mountain overlooking a valley. The elders took two nights to climb to the tree, and two nights later they climbed down. Their bodies were almost shimmering, glowing with the same eerie light as the tree had done every single night since they first came across it. From then on the people were gifted with immortality and powers to control and summon nature in exchange of protection for the mighty tree...that is, all but one. Little Alwa never received her special talent, as all elven kin before her had done. Somewhat ashamed, and somewhat pushed to do so, Alwa packed her things and began a journey to find someone steeped in magic to tell her what was blocking the Sacred Oak's magical blessings...and what she must do to awaken her true potential.

Alwa's true age is unknown but is estimated to be just shy of 100 years. Her physical appearance is that of a 25 year old female with bright cyan eyes and dark brown hair. Her pale complexion comes from staying within the shadows of the Sacred Oak's mighty branches. (Her people are genetically pale from this)

Your characters ambitions: Alwa is searching for the reason why the Oaks blessings did not manifest in her blood like her kin before her. Shes also hoping for companionship and a sense of true belonging.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? My kin are in trouble? I jump behind a tree, arrow cocked and ready. I pull my bowstring as fast as i can and watch as the arrows fly and hit their marks. The three persons, who were in the heat of battle, are now pinned down by several arrows each, making simple movements harder. Id then approach, question what is going on...and make my decisions from there.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Id smile, nod my head. "Good morning, quiet day today isint it? You don't seem very busy..." Id exchange smalltalk and browse the wares..trying to get any bit of useful information or job openings from the man/woman and make a small purchase so my presence wasn't seen as a way of gaining information. Thanking the shopkeep, I would walk out and begin on the leads they so unwittingly leaked.

Notes for applicant: Llannarch is not a place in Lord of the Craft as far as I know... In your open question (Elves and Bandits) you powergamed. In-game you can't pin them all down. You have permission to repost in 2 hours once you correct these problems.

Where can I get help to fix these errors?

It really depends on what you need – you are not allowed to have anyone else write part of your application for you. As the Application Team we're here to not only accept and deny your applications, but it's our job to give you help for fixing them. We'll help you as much as we can, but we will never write a bit of your application, no matter how much you ask!

The best way to get help, is to contact the Application Team member who denied you, (in this case, myself; Danny). You can contact me either here on the forums, via a PM – or you can also find me on TeamSpeak most of the time, either in the “Application Team” channel or in one of the private channels. Feel free to poke me, or send me a message for any help, and I'll try my best to help you!

I'd also suggest that you do some reading up, depending on why you were denied, as there's some good help out there, already written for anyone who needs it!

The WikiYou provides almost every scratch of lore that we have, there's people dedicated to expanding on it, and making it as detailed as possible. It's possibly the best place to find lore on the website, although you can also find quite a bit in this forum section.

You should also read the various posts that have been made by GM's and Application Team members to help with your applications, and believe me, there are many. The most useful is the “Application Team's Advice” thread. Which can be found

Can I re-apply?

Of course you can! Often people post as many as 3 applications before they're accepted! Just make sure, that you wait until after 48 hours before you re-apply or your application will be denied. We have the 48 hour wait system to keep the Application Submissions forum tidy, and to ensure that the application team aren't overwhelmed by applicants posting a new application every five minutes.
