Grew up in Forest hunting. His father was part of the guard. I went to the Kings funeral. My character wants to join the guard. Lives in the wild, planning to move to a city that needs guards. Very charismatic and vulnerable to arrows. Strength is with a sword and intimidation. Now to a short story of my life. When I was a young boy my village was attacked by bandits. Forced to live off the land, using hunting skills my father taught me. Then one night I was in my cabin then I was attacked by 3 bandits. I grabbed my sword and took on two of them, but the last one started to run. I chased him threw the thick forest, and all of a sudden he jumped off a cliff into a lake and then I looked up and saw a Town, not just a village but a city like I've never seen before. So the next day I packed my things and walked to it. There was a sign that said Welcome to a Town in the Land of Asulon. Next to it a sign that said Help Wanted Guards needed. So I thought that was my chance to get back at the Bandits for ruining my village. So I walked to the city. Then I found the kings assistant and asked to have a house in the city. The king's assistant said sure, but for a small price of 5,000 minas. I said, "Minas?" The king's assistant said, "Yes it's our currency." So I thought I had to get some minas so I worked in a Market for an elf. After I got enough minas I asked the kings assistant to buy a house. Of course he said yes and gave me the deed and key. Once I got settled I kept in mind there was help wanted for the guard, so the next day I asked to join the guard. So the next day I went and asked and they said I need more skill with a sword. I said "I'm good enough," and he said,"lets duel then". So we dueled and he knocked me on my back and smirked. Then I went and found a small house in the city. I set up a training post for getting more skill in my sword. I went back a week later and dueled him again and knocked him on his back this time. They said, "Come back in a week and we will get you prepared, teach you the rules, and set you up with a Mentor just till your ready to handle yourself." Your characters ambitions:To join the guard and keep a city safe from Bandits like the ones that attacked me! Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Kill of the bandits and ask why the elf was attacked by them. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? I want a sword that slices through a bone in one slice. A screenshot of your skin:
James Undercroft 129 Share Posted February 10, 2012 Your application has been: Do not worry though; this does not mean you cannot apply again, quite the contrary! After two hours you may apply again which gives you plenty of time to fix up your application, plan it out as well as use all of this advice which I have given you in this post to make your application one of the best. Please check the links at the bottom of this post, they will help you so much. This application is under review. Your definition for powergaming is incorrect. Luckily for you there are plenty of ways to learn the correct definition. First of all you can look on the lord of the craft wiki and then search for "Powergaming", you can join our Team Speak channel (You can get Team Speak from http://teamspeak.com/?page=downloads ), or you can do a google search. Your biography needs some improvement. Your biography is alright, but it still doesn't use enough lore. You can find all about the lore of Lord of the Craft here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page,'>http://www.lordofthecraft.net/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page, or in the lore/history sections of the forum and website. The types of lore you can include can people places such as towns and kingdoms, or even people or events (such as the exodus from Aegis to Asulon which affected almost everyone). Your RP situations have shown almost zero improvement. This are RP situations, not merely questions. If you went into game right and, went up to two bandits harrassing and elf and wrote: *kills the two bandits and saves the elf.* they will laugh at you and probably file a ban report for powergaming. You need to act it out as a story would, as an RP Situation would. I shall write just a small snippet right now, and I want you to try to emulate the style. Zolgash brushes his brow, rain falling from his cheeks and hard jaw, onto the mat of rotting leaves beneath his feet. Peering through some brushes he spies two bandits hacking at an elf half heartedly and laughing all the while. The elf he can see is past tired, he is exhausted his slim sword gripped loosely in his fine hands. Zolgash feels his anger begin to rise and calls out. "Hey, you filth bastard son of a mongrel! Leave that elf alone or you will feel true steel in your necks." The bandits turn wearily, still keeping an eye on the elf to make sure he doesn't escape. The bandits call back... As you can see all of the actions were stated, all of the text was stated and even some of the combat (although I did not get to the part where "Zolgash" my character would be fighting the bandits.). You need to write all of that and more, try to be creative and origional but do not powergame. You will take damage, you will be hurt nad perhaps even loose and end up unconscious? Be creative but above all realistic..Everyone (and I mean everyone) just writes that they buy something, and leave. What is that? It shows a lack of effort in my opinion. All you have to do is use your imagination, create something innovative, exciting and fun for the reader. There are endless possibilities, for example you could write that the shop keeper is actually a bandit who is luring victims into his shop and then he gets his thug friends to come in from the rear to block your escape, or perhaps the shop keeper tries to cheat you of an item and you respond by calling the guards and something exciting happens. The possibilities are endless, all you have to do is be creative. Please wait 2 hours or your application will be instantly denied. This gives you a chance to have a cup of tea and read all of which I have provided. Please do send a PM my way if you are having any trouble understanding the application process or my feedback, I would be glad to help you. :) Good luck for your next application!
