You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Hokul paces himself towards the offered seat from the Old Hag, he starts to take off the Helmet that was seen on him and gently places it next to the cushion, his face revealed he smiles towards the Old Hag, Hokul opens his mouth and begins to speak. "Expecting me, eh? That's quite odd, why would a Dwarf like myself be expected here by you? Hokul responds with a questionable expression across his face. The Old Hag would look towards Hokul with a questioned look from his response. "Well Dwarf, we expect all newcomers to our humble little setllement here! No matter who, you're a guest!" The Old Hag proudly states, and cheers. Hokul smiles from the response looking down with a cheerful look, and then gently raises his head while moving his eyes left and right. He then concentrates his attention towards the Old Hag once again. "Well, a story of mine is something that is quite interesting miss let me tell you, hahaha" Hokul lets out a small laugh then followed with a light cough, he gently sips from his canteen and closes it, then continuing his sentence. "I had a family once miss, that family was the only thing keeping me going, and keeping the mines going. Us Dwarves we work towards a better tomorrow for our people by taking to the mines and coming back with goodies. However, everything changed when me and two brothers that walked out of the mine gleefully." Hokul looks down with a saddned look, almost like he's about to break down, his voice however breaks for a moment, he inhales and exhales to get the courage to continue. "To be met with a ransacked camp. Our supplies stolen and my Dwarven sisters and brothers slain." Hoku;'s eyes get watery from telling the story, his voice breaks a little, but he gets the courage to look at the Old Hag while he's almost breaking down. As the Old Hag is quiet, Hokul then continues speaking to her when he has finished recollecting his thoughts. "However, it doesn't end on a bad story like that. We set out to find a new home and we eventually did find that home, we found a place just west of this settlement, we took up as miners for the town as we found an enjoyment in that. Our home has guards, walls, and it's a stable society! Ha! Hokul has a small giggle and resting before continuing. But me and my two other brothers have made it a goal of ours to find out who attacked our original camp and take revenge for the souls that were lost." Hokul states with an angry expression on his face. But our new home named "Cleritz" well they send out people on expeditions for cartography reasons and get maps of all the different lands that we've never been to! Hokul states with a cheerful tone. I was honored to take that position. So, I am here making maps of my journey to bring back to my people, and maybe bring some other things back to them, maybe make alliances for my people and the people around here, endless possibilities miss and many stories to hear just like mine." Hokul responds with a big grin on his face as he nods. The Old Hag sips on her tea, and then proceeds to let out a big grin on her face and proceeds to speak. "Well Dwarf, a truly inspiring story indeed. I'm happy to hear that there is at least a good ending to this morbid tale you've just conveyed. I appreciate you for sharing, we always get new tales every day we keep track of everything when. adventurers come through. You know we've seen many Dwarves that look similar to you, and they all live in these lands, maybe you can find them?" The Old Hag states with a happy tone and looks to Hokul. Hokul stunned from the statement from the Old Hag, his eyes are wide open, he can't think straight but lands on one thought and questions the Hag. "Where?!" Hokul then responds with a questionable and light demanding tone. The Old Hag looking to Hokul exhales and speaks. "I'm afraid they never say where they go my friend, apologies." The Old Hag responds with a saddened tone. Hokul looks down as he doesn't know how to comprehend what he just heard; he then gets up from the Cushion and places his Helmet back on his Head and starts to make way for the Tent flap. Hokul stops himself, and then peers over to the Old Hag. "I appreciate the hospitality and the conversation miss, but I got some Dwarven brothers to find and reunite with." Hokul says produly as he now has a purpose here other than helping his settlement. The Old Hag yells out to Hokul. "Wait, what is your name friend?! For the Archives of stories!" The Old Hag yelling out with a questioning tone. Hokul then turns his head right glaring at the Old Hag. "Hokul. Hokul CaveBender." He says with a determined look and a calming tone. He lifts the tent flap and makes his way to wherever the road takes him.
