Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name: My account name is Taito999.

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No, I live in Australia.

How old are you?: I am fifteen years old.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT +9:30 Australia, S.A.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, I read books all the time. I have also written and edited many stories. I've been a part of story writing sites and school writer's clubs, where published authors would visit.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm a guy who does well at school, plays for state teams in sport and plays many musical instruments. I also love playing video games. I love creating stories and drawing.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I would be able to play 15+ hours weekly.

What do you know about Role playing? Give a definition of what it means to you: Role playing is where you act as an imaginary character that you have created. You write them into a world where they can interact with the environment and others. Your character can evolve with the world and make decisions. Your character can also mould the story and lore of the world. I've had much experience with role playing. I have played several versions of Dungeons and Dragons. I also learnt about it from my Dad who played it "back in his day". I have played Oblivion, Skyrim, Dungeon Siege and Baldur's Gate.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are:

Metagaming- Where you're knowledge interferes in what the in game character, should or should not actually know.

As in the name floating above MC player's heads. The player shouldn't actually know their name.

Powergaming- Where you make your character have an advantage by creating unfair circumstances. It's where you role play in a way that your character will come out on top and give other's no option's or way to fend for themselves.

Eg.

Someone would announce themselves victorious in battle unfairly.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I've watched on YouTube and it looks exciting. I'm expecting to be fully immersed in the RP experience. I expect that I will be able to make money, buy homes and do jobs for others. I would love to be involved in such a huge open world and an ever changing storyline. I'm expecting to welcomed by friendly Staff and Admins.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've played on House of Gioboi and McZetra. I only left McZetra because no one is ever online and people are important for a fun experience.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have printed them all off and scanned them many times, along with the lore.

How did you hear about us?: I was told by my brother about a "REALLY COOL RP SERVER!" which he saw whilst watching YouTube videos.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: Yes, # 2,250.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Taito999. (Display name: Taitolf_Ugin)

In-Character:

Character Name: My character name would be Taitolf_Ugin.

What is your Race?: My character is a Human.

Biography: Taitolf_Ugin was born and raised in the far south wilds of Aegis. His home was a small cottage situated on a hill. The hill was surrounded by wheat fields. When Taitolf was young he used to help his mother take care of the crops. It was hard work. Most of the crops were trampled and eaten by animals. The wheat that was leftover barely fed the small family. Usually after helping his mother in the morning he would go and see his father. His father was a blacksmith. He spent most of the day in his forge. Taitolf's father taught him how to forge might swords and armour which they would use to hunt animals. His father gained the materials from a cave on the other side of the hill. It was a huge gaping hole in the earth. In the cave were minerals and ores. Taitolf's father would take him down there most days and show him how to mine. Though the mine shafts were well lit, there were still bad creatures that lurked about. Taitolf was too young to be able to fend for himself so he stayed close to his father.

As Taitolf aged over the years his mother became weak and frail, no longer being able to maintain the fields of wheat. Taitolf let the fields of wheat die and instead went hunting in the mornings. Taitolf became a fine young, archer. He could take out a pig from over 40 metres. Taitolf came home, hauling a pig's carcass over his shoulder. When he entered the house he found that his mother had passed away in her sleep. Taitolf buried his mother and mourned her for days. Taitolf did not see much of his father after that. He had disappeared down into the cave for days. Taitolf did not worry too much at first but as the day's went on he became anxious. He couldn't stand it any more. Taitolf raced to his fathers forge and grabbed supplies. He took torches, an iron sword and leather armour. Taitolf then went on to enter the cave.

It was cold and dark inside. The torches that Taitolf carried barely shone five metres in front of him. It was running outside and Taitolf followed the steady stream of water down into the depths of the earth. The way was steep and slippery. His grunts echoed through the vast caverns. That's when he heard an echo not of his own.

“Father!” he screamed, yet there was no reply.

Taitolf was about to scream out again when he slipped on the rocks, down into the darkness. Taitolf was extremely dizzy when he got up. He groped around to find his sword. The cool steel comforted him. Out of the the shadows came huge spiders. Taitolf was petrified of spiders and began to run. He ran down the mineshaft, brushing past cobwebs. Taitolf came to a wall of sand. It seems he had lost the spiders but he now faced a new challenge. From behind the sand he could hear muffled grunts. Taitolf frantically dug through the sand until his hands bled. Some of the sand had hardened becoming stone-like. When he had dug through the sand he found his father. He was lying in a small room in complete darkness. Taitolf raised his sword and dragged his father back from the centre of the room. He was severely wounded but had found a bunch of treasures. From the darkness emerged some half dead creatures. They moaned and advanced slowly. Taitolf used the skills he had learnt hunting with his father and fought them off. The creatures took many hits but where too tough for his puny stature. Taitolf dragged his father back through the tunnel and away from the creatures quickly. He emerged the cave in complete daylight.

Taitolf had nursed his father back to health.

“Son, listen to me,” his father croaked, “we must move far away from this evil. There is some type of dungeon in those caves. These, undead creatures come for you with no end!”

Taitolf nodded and helped his father to move out. They had hired a wagon to cart all of their' belongings. His father had told him of the treasures he had found in the cave. He had found diamonds and and some glowing red minerals. The wagon driver was listening to Taitolf's father intently but focused on the road. They were heading for the Realm of Hanseti. The Ugin's had family up there, distant cousins that would understand their troubles. It was night time when the wagon stopped. Taitolf saw his father was still asleep so he hopped out of the back of the wagon to see the problem. There were bandits talking to the wagon driver. Taitolf could overhear what was being said.

“Yeah, they've got some valuables I hear,” the driver whispered.

The bandits smiled cruelly, “What type of valuables may I ask?”

As soon as the driver told them it was diamonds, he was killed. Taitolf gasped and scrambled into the back of the wagon to wake his father. He quickly told his father who grabbed his best sword. He had received it when he was young. It had been blessed by the Monks of cloud temple when he had first arrived in Aegis.

“Take the diamonds son,” he said, “and go far away! Go and find our family in Hanseti!”

Taitolf was speechless his father jumped from the wagon, still bandaged up from the horrible creatures. Taitolf looked around and took the valuables sack. He fled through the forest hearing the cries of men in battle, driving him on.

It took Taitolf years to find anywhere hospitable. He sold his way with the diamonds his father had left him. No one had really helped him. They told him lies and cheated him of his valuables. They where all greedy. Taitolf was now nineteen years of age. He had become a fully grown matured man. He was tall (6' 1”) and dark skinned. His hair was a dark black and he had now developed muscles. He could now wield weapons properly, having faced many bandits in his travels. Taitolf was no longer scared of spiders. He was beginning to think he would never find a place to stay though. He had just sold his last diamond to a man showing him a place he could stay. The man led him through forests, swaps and deserts until he showed him, The Sanctuary of the Cloud Temple. He was amazed, the monks told him he was now in Asulon. Taitolf didn't even know that. They gave him guidance and advice. They told him that he was a newcomer in Asulon. His life had only really started, now.

Your characters ambitions: My character wishes to live in the Realm of Hanseti and discover if he actually has family there. He will buy a home there and start a job. He wants a simple life with not too much more adventure.... except on weekends XD

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Taitolf notches an arrow as he sneaks behind the bandits. He takes aim and breathes deeply. His hatred towards bandits forces him to go on. One of the bandits turns around as Taitolf steps on a twig. Taitolf let the arrow fly. It narrowly misses the first bandit and hits a tree. The bandit screams curses at Taitolf as he draws closer. Taitolf ducks and feels the rush of air where a sword passes his arm. He looks down and sees that it actually hit. His arm is bleeding. Taitolf grabs the bandit's leg and tackles him to the ground. The bandit drops his sword as he hits the ground with a thud. Taitolf swings his fists furiously at the bandit. The bandit kicks Taitolf in the stomach and pushes him off. Taitolf rolls over and jumps to his feet in agony. He then begins to stomp on the bandit. He sees that bandit's nose is broken and he's out cold so he leaves him be. The second bandit had just finished beating the Elf who was bleeding out on the ground. The bandit could see his friend sprawled in the dust beside Taitolf. He yells furiously and charges at Taitolf. Swinging his sword wildly. Taitolf uses his sword with his non-bleeding arm to parry the blow. The huge arching swing deflects off of Taitolf's blade. Sparks fly as metal strikes metal. Taitolf pushes the bandits sword away and then swings at his head. The bandit had foreseen this and ducked. There was a huge crack as Taitolf was smashed in the face with the bandit's fist. He stumbled back gasping for air. Taitolf tripped on a rock, and now lay in the dirt. The bandit advanced towards Taitolf, sword poised ready to strike. He looked away in fear. Suddenly the bandit screams and writhes around. The Elf had driven his sword straight through the back and out the stomach of the bandit. Taitolf is pulled to his feet by the bleeding Elf. Taitolf hands him his finest healing potion and some food from his pack. The Elf then thanks Taitolf and they decide to adventure on, together.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

“Hello there, I've been wandering around looking around for a supply shop.” replies Taitolf, smiling. The aroma's from the other stall blur his senses.

The store owner returns the smile, “Oh yes! What were you looking for?”

“Well I've run completely dry of arrows!”

The owner laughs, “I have great deal on arrows today. A stack for only 6 minas.”

Taitolf furrows his brow, “Oh, hmm. I'm sorry but I've only got 4 minas, will that do?” Taitolf nervously shuffles back.

“You know what? I will let you have it for 4 minas, if you could first fetch a delivery from down the road.

Taitolf takes a sigh of relief, “Of course! I''ll be right back.”

He then proceeds to make a short trip down the road.

Taitolf returns with the delivery, “Here you go.” Taitolf wipes sweat from his forehead. The market place is beginning to get crowded again. The place is warm from all the bodies.

“Thank you, you've done me kind service,” said the owner gratefully.

“Any day!” replied Taitolf.

There is an exchange of goods, “I'll best be on my way now,” chuckled Taitolf, happy with the deal.

“Good day to you then. What was your name?”

“Taitolf, I guess I'll see you 'round,” he replies, winking.
