I was born in the Great Nation of Malinor in the deep forests of our Ancestors. My family was well respected in our clan and from birth my parents expected me to become a member of the councils of Malinor one day. I learned from the elders from the time I came into the world. During my time learning under the elders I learned many things, including the arts of war, and the virtues of patience and wisdom. I continued to learn from them until I neared my twenty-fifth birthday and at that young age I left the tutelage of the elders and proceeded to pursue my own destiny. Also at that time I reached my current height of 7'0" and my current weight of 183 pounds. I have long golden hair that is similar to most of my race, but normally it is covered with a hood. I am slight in stature and prefer to wear a grey/silver colored travelling cloak most everywhere. The only two items of value I carry upon my person are my bow, and my family pendant, the symbol of my family and the only thing that my father sent with me when I left for seclusion in the forest.

As I explored the world and began to understand the world that I live in, I began to study the ways of the Druids. Much to the dismay of my parents who wished me to follow their plan and become a member of the Hierarchy of Malinor, I decided to cut all ties with civilization and moved into the wilderness to study the ways of the Druids and of the Forests. After many months I settled in a small secluded grove to study and learn for many years. Today, almost fifteen years later I still study in isolation to become a Druid.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?:

Rindfindel watches the scene cautiously from the shadows of forest. He sizes up the two warriors as they continue to harass the halfling, and realizing that possibly with the help of the halfling, who looks to be a fighter of fair experience himself, he could kill or incapacitate the warriors enough to escape without being seriously injured or killed. Rindfindel pulls a small dagger out of his belt and carefully strings his bow. He knocks an arrow and walks slowly forward into the light. The warriors notice him and tell him to leave. Rindfindel does not respond but carefully tosses the halfling the dagger. When the warriors see this act of apparent hostility they draw swords and swing their shields around onto their arms. The halfling swings first because he already was close to one of the warriors, a big burly man of average height. The halfling manages to strike a small wound into the mans upper thigh. The other charges Rindfindel and Rindfindel loses an arrow at him. The warrior catches the arrow on his shield with an air of practice about him. A cold feeling grips the pit of Rindfindel's stomach, he realizes that these are no ordinary warriors, but warriors who probably trained with the savage orcish tribes and are well practiced in the ways of war. The man who suffered the blow from the halfling curses and swings at the halfling with his sword, the halfling deftly evades his cut and manages to deliver another blow. The warrior who charged Rindfindel bashes him with his shield and knocks Rindfindel off his feet. Rindfindel quickly kicks the warriors feet out from under him and jumps on top of him attempting to pin his arms to the ground. The halfling and the warrior are now circling each other cautiously, the warrior is limping due to the two wounds on his left leg. The warrior that Rindfindel has on the ground pulls a twisted dagger out of his belt and stabs Rindfindel in the leg leaving the dagger in the leg. Rindfindel cries out in pain. The warrior that that is circling the halfling lunges and grabs the halfling in his arms and squeezes him harder and harder. The halfling attempts to stab the warrior but is unable to reach him with his arms pinned to the side. The warrior Rindfindel is grappling with escapes from Rindfindels grasp and attempts to jump back ontop of Rindfindel, but when he falls on Rindfindel he suddenly goes limp and falls off of Rindfindel with his own dagger stuck in his chest. Rindfindel staggers up, grabs his bow and aims at the warrior with the halfling. The warrior breaks the halfling's neck and turns toward Rindfindel but staggers backward as he is hit with an arrow in the chest. Rindfindel quickly knocks another arrow but his sight is growing blurry and he realizes that the dagger must have been poisoned. He falls forward and blacks out, the last thing he sees is the man lying dead on the ground. When Rindfindel awakens he sees that he is in a small hut with herbs and berries lying all around. He attempts to sit up but a man he hadn't noticed before stands up out of his chair and carefully sits him back down. Rindfindel questions him as to where he is and the man tells him that he is a Druid and that the fight took place very close to his grove. When he saw that Rindfindel had fallen and look close to death he quickly brought him back to his hut and that it took nearly all of his skill to heal him. He explains that there was nothing to do for the halfling and that Rindfindel is free to go whenever he wishes. Rindfindel spends the rest of the day there and thanks the Druid for his generosity, then takes his leave.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?:

Rindfindel approaches the man who is wearing a colorful assortment of robes and jewelry and examines his wares with a guarded expression on his face. Rindfindel examines the weapons and jewelry that the man is selling carefully as to ascertain the quality of their make and what a fair price for them might be. He decides to make the man an offer on one of the daggers that he is selling. The dagger in question is a beautiful piece of work all the way from the workshops of the Dwarves and encrusted with jewels. Rindfindel quickly offers the man one-hundred gold pieces. The man looks taken aback and states that such a low offer offends him and his pride and makes a return offer of three-hundred gold pieces. Rindfindel shows the man a scratch upon the blade and offers him one-hundred and seventy-five gold pieces. The merchant, not wanting to turn away a potential buyer offers one-hundred and eighty-five gold pieces. Rindfindel accepts and pays him out of a small purse that he takes off the back of his belt. The man thanks him and Rindfindel proceeds across the dusty road to the next line of stalls.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Rindfindel carefully stalks around the perimeter of the hut and examine it from all angles as to ascertain if it poses any threat to him or nature. No one is present so Rindfindel proceeds to cautiously creep towards the hut. When he reaches the hut he decides to leave the chest alone so as not to take something that belongs to anyone. He then proceeds to search the hut to make sure there is no threat to nature there. As he is searching the house a small party comes out of the woods and hails him. They question Rindfindel as to why he is in their hut. Rindfindel tells them that he was wandering, found the hut, and just wanted to make sure their was no threat to nature there. The leader of the party a hulking muscular man requests that he leaves the hut. Rindfindel, not wanting to cause trouble, decides to go along with his wishes and quickly leaves the hut.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? :

Rindfindel cautiously replies with a greeting and asks who they are. Rindfindel enters the camp and with a flourish pulls two healing potions out of his travel worn cloak that he made with his skill in herbalism. He offers the potions to the men in the camp in return for food and direction to the nearest town. After receiving the information and the food he politely thanks the men and goes on his way.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Rindfindel first leaves town and scopes the encampment. He gathers information about how large the party of bandits may be and whether or not they pose a threat to the balance of nature. When it turns out that the bandits are really evil necromancers who are raising the dead in order to attack the town he hastily makes his way back to the town to offer his help because undead are an offense to nature. Rindfindel goes with the party to attack the bandits and uses his skill in archery to aid the other members of the party in whatever way he can. After the triumph of the party Rindfindel refuses compensation and burns the remains of the undead raised by the necromancers.
