Ugluk Clan

Introduction

You find yourself growing weary and tired from your travels. The muck and mud of the thick, bushy swamp grabs at you from the ground, trying to pry you into the soggy ground on which you tread. It has been five days since you left Strigzgoi and you ran out of food on the second, water on the third. You packed too light, and you were in the middle of a desert. You push through the last thick vine that stands in your way and you see something that seemed almost as if it just materialized in front of you. The smoke from a mighty fire hangs over this fortress, the murky water splashes over the soggy soil in front of the massive iron gates.

You hear the sound of snorting and snarling as you approach the heavy iron gates. A young Grunt opens the gate for you after a brief conversation. You turn to your left and notice the bull pens. The pens smell of feces and rotten flesh. You walk up to it and notice a sign written to the right of one of the pens,

it says:

Gijak

~De Bull uf De Wargoth~

You gaze down at the bull and stare into the bull’s blood red eyes. It snorts then farts. You back away quickly, the stench of the bull’s flatulence is overwhelming.

The Grunt leads you away from the pen and down into the vast caverns that the Ugluks dug out upon arrival in Asulon. You discover that their is a large smith to your right, and a great brazier in the center of the room. It is adorned in black and yellow dyed pelts of bears that roam the forests to the east.

He leads you straight, down a corridor where you find the living quarters of the Wargoth’s two sons, Kiog and Krodash. The Grunt shows you each room briefly then he spins you on your heel and walks you down another corridor. There you meet the massive ten foot, three hundred and fifty-three pound Orc known as Pok. He looks you over quickly, examining your build. He motions for the Grunt to leave and you are left alone with the Wargoth. He is sitting on his great stone throne, the horns of a massive bull on each side, in between is a carved obsidian stone seat cushioned with the hide of a bull dyed a dark yellow.

Pok speaks to you and asks you, “Wi hab lat kume tu mi bub’ozh furtrezz?”

You look up at the massive Orc, you stand tall and brave, not afraid to face any sort of challenge. Pok stares at you fiercely, you haven’t responded to his answer. He motions for the clan shaman to take you out to the Great Tent of Ugluk. You are placed upon the stone of judgement and the stone you stand on begins to hum softly, a shadowy smoke rising from the stone. You feel the shadow tighten around you as you begin to drift off into a dream. The shamans chant and you are judged by Ugluk himself. You are worthy and the grip of Ugluk’s shadowy hand loosens around your body.

“Lat am wurthy Uruk.” The shamans lead you back down the cavern and hold you in front of Pok. “Wargoth, diz azh am wurthy uf Ugluk.” Pok motions for you to step forward and you do so hesitantly. He asks, “Doez lat wiz tu bi Ugluk Klan, Uruk? Er did lat juz’ vizit?” You tell him that you were just visiting but it was an honor to be here and be judged by Ugluk himself. Pok nods and motions for a few Grunts to take you away. You are led up and out of the cavern and shoved out of the gates. You continue on your way to wherever you were heading.
