Main Minecraft Account Name: MajesticOwyn

Alternate Minecraft Account Name: Jbodge

In your own words, define what the act of Roleplaying is:

Roleplaying means you are acting out the role of something or someone, completely changing your behavior to reflect the characters.

In your own Words, define what the act of Metagaming is:

Metagaming is taking OOC information and using it In-Character. For example, Identifying people by their name plates, tracking them through walls, etc.

In your own Words, define what the act of Powergaming is:

Powergaming is when someone does an action against another person without giving them a chance to react or avoid it, or forcing someone to adhere to the way you want the story to play out, without giving them a say.

(I can’t believe I messed that up, I was pasting it from the old application format I had saved in the word document... sigh, failed so hard :P)

In-Character:

Character Name: Azireth Skarrasha

What Race are you?: Elf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Dark Elf

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Azireth is a 52 year old Dark Elf male. He has dark ashen gray skin with medium length charcoal black hair. Standing at about 6 foot tall, he has a muscled and athletic build. The most unique feature is his eyes, which are a deep purple. Azireth is quick to distrust people, and will often lie about nearly anything involving himself. Despite this, if you earn his trust and respect, he is one of the most loyal people you will ever meet, and will stop at nothing to help his friends. Azireth is able to get others to like him easily, often using his charm and wits to get the upper hand. Azireth also hates bandits and other petty thieves, even going as far as outright vigilantism if he meets any.

Azireth Skarrasha was born into a world full of conflict and instability. Dark skinned and tall, it was hard to be a Dark Elf where he lived with his family, always facing persecution. It seemed if anything bad ever happened, they were the first to blame. Regardless, he had a simple life growing up, one he was thankful to have before the storm was upon him. His family had a small farm not far from Laurelin, in Aegis, where his father would tend to his crops and livestock while his mother worked as a tailor. Growing up, Azireth was taught how to do the basics of country life; hunt with a bow, work in the fields and milk the cows, as well as how to use a blade. His father was very good with a sword, and even the small knives he had hidden all around his persons. Growing up beside him was his sister, Alaya Skarrasha, whom he considered his best friend. There were not many children that would play with the two Skarrasha’s, so they grew a bond that could not be broken by anything. Suddenly, life changed. The land afar was being ripped apart by wars and undead, and the time had come where their small farm was no longer safe. At first it was the lightning, then the fires. If you listened hard enough, you could hear the screams of the dead coming from the forest. At the age of 24, Azireth and his family were forced to leave their home and move south with all of the other refugees. They had heard of the horrors that approached, and of the boats that would save them all from damnation. Reaching the boats, the family was nervous, but relieved. The worst of it had been outran, now they were safe and as a family, whole.

As the boats set sail, however, they began to get nervous. Endless storms plagued them across the waters, smaller boats being smashed and swallowed into the sea with no end. It seemed they had been at sea for an eternity and their supplies began to dwindle. On the morning of a particularly bad storm, land was visible on the horizon. Hope filled the hearts of every passenger on the boat, they would finally be free of the endless chaos of the ocean. That, however, was not true. Black ominous clouds were fast approaching behind them, clouds they could not outrun. This storm was the worst yet, tearing the ship apart piece by piece. Azireth and Alaya were in a cabin far beneath the deck when they felt a snap and heard a large cracking noise. An impact with a giant cliff-face had caused the ship to break apart, dooming all. Luck was with them, however. The small part of the ship they were in was washed onto the shore, as the rest was sucked into the watery depths of the ocean. Lost and confused, they were among a dozen survivors, their parents nowhere to be seen.

One week later, they were found by a group of Wood Elves that had been searching the beaches for survivors and any salvageable supplies. Thankful to be alive, the two joined up with the wood elves eager to begin a new life on this new world, the one that these elves called Asulon.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Azireth’s sole wish is to survive and protect his sister and find out if any of his remaining relatives had survived from Aegis, let alone the storms that had plagued their journey to Asulon. He had skills that would be useful in the New World, and an uncertain future that will hold a lot of surprises for him, as well as tragedy.

Other Information about your Character: He's a new character that I plan on fleshing out alot, and there will even be a villain app eventually.

Open-Response-Questions

Answer at least three out of five listed

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Azireth backs behind a tree and curses, observing the situation from behind a thick oak. Two bandits clad in mail and leather were harassing a small halfling, pushing it to the ground and kicking it. One of the bandits was saying something as he slowly slipped a knife out of his sleeve. Quietly, Azireth removed a small package of cloth from inside his coat. Opening it revealed a fresh bowstring, which he picked up and then proceeded to string into his bow. He did not know who this halfling was, but he could not just leave him to die.

Peering from behind the tree, he took an arrow from his quiver and strung it to his bow. With a twang, he loosened the arrow, where it flew straight and true into one bandits un-armoured back. The bandit shrieked and then collapsed to the ground. The other bandit turned, confused, but it was already too late. Another arrow flew from Azireth’s bow, striking the bandit right in the neck. Falling to the dirt, the bandit clasped at his neck as he gasped for air, making a grotesque gurgling sound. Azireth nodded to himself, unstringing his bow and quickly stuffing it back into his pocket. He then turned and fled into the forest.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

(I had already written this question and another on the old application before I noticed there was a new one, so I was wondering if I could just paste this one in as its pretty much the same scenario. Let me know if its a problem!)

Azireth walks lazily into the shop of a Fletcher, flipping a minas and catching it. Behind the counter was a young High Elf woman who had long silvery hair and dark green eyes. Walking around, Azireth observed some of the items in the shop; fresh bow strings, long elegant elven longbows, and piles of sharp steep arrows. As he approached the counter, the woman looked up, prompting him to flash his best and most charming smile. She returned the smile, blushing slightly.

“Can I help you?” said the woman, her smile unfading. “My father makes all of the items in here by hand, you will not find anything finer in the city.”

Azireth flashed his teeth again, staring into her green eyes. “I was wondering how much a quiverfull of those fine steel arrows would cost me.”

“One-hundred and fifty minas, we throw in a pack of extra bow-strings as well” she replied.

“Ah… That’s a bit steep; though I’m sure they are worth every mina… Could I perhaps get a little discount?” Azireth said, getting closer to the woman and giving her a little wink.

The girl sighed slightly. “Well, I suppose I could give you a bit of a-“she said, cut off suddenly.

A large guffaw came from behind her, followed by her father. The large elf looked at Azireth with a scowl. “One-hundred and fifty minas! No more, no less. You know better than that, Lyanna.” He said, still frowning. The woman nodded, blushing furiously. “Now pay up and get out of my shop!”

Azireth cursed under his breath, counting out the minas onto the counter. He grabbed a quiver and made for the entrance, flashing the woman one more grin before bursting out the door.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Azireth stumbled into the hut, exhausted and hungry. Quickly looking around the room, he saw that the hut was empty, causing him to sigh. Just as he turned to leave, he noticed an empty chest in the corner. Stumbling over, he looked inside and his eyes widened as he saw the gold sword. That sword could feed him and his sister for a month! Azireth licked his lips, reaching out to grab it, but stopped midway. The last time had had stole anything it was an apple when he was younger, and his father had beat him harshly for it. Sighing again, he tapped his coin pouch. He had a healthy amount of coin, and this sword was not his. Backing away, he stumbled outside the hut.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Azireth had a look of disgust on his face as he listened to the guard talk of the bandits. He had heard of them, the ones that had been robbing innocent and hardworking people on the roads. Rising from his seat on the steps, he spat in disgust and made his way down to the guard. There was a man beside the guard sitting at a table, holding a quill and looking over a piece of parchment. Azireth took out his unstrung bow and placed it on the table, nodding to the man.

"Hail, sign me up and my bow is yours, someone needs to take care of those bandit scum." said Azireth, a scowl on his face. The guard looked at him for a moment, then nodded and started the question process.

-The math doesn't add up, your character left while he was 24 and is now 52. Asulon is 19 to my knowledge.

-A tip would be to add more lore to the first part of your bio, instead of random places, tell actual places in history. I will keep this as a tip knowing that it will be much harder with the complete reboot of the wiki.

-Your first role-playing scenario shows power gaming, you must give the bandits a chance to respond.

If you are still unsure of why you were denied, send me a pm and I

Will gladly explain.

If I am not on, go to the teamspeak channel "Application Team Help Channel"

For above problem.

I suggest you take an hour to fix up the things I have said above, then go ahead and give it another go.

Have a nice day/night :)
