I’m a 19 year old guy who currently studying at the university. I love role-playing, gaming and music.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Between 15-20 hours. Maybe more at weekends with no party.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying to me is to escape yourself and your life for a moment to be somebody/something else. To forget about reality to be whatever you wish in another reality.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

Harry Potter themed forum roleplaying, Dungeons and Dragons 4e, Drakar och Demoner Expert (Swedish roleplaying-game). (I don’t count rpg video-games).

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

To act with your character in ways that does not reflect the characters way of being, the characters knowledge etc.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power-gaming is to completely (IMO) to kill a roleplaying game by just caring about maxing up the char-skills and char-wealth with no respect or care for storytelling and character-depth.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect this server to be an overwhelmingly fun and exciting server where real role-playing are encouraged.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have not played on the very big servers earlier. And the servers I’ve been playing on I can’t remember the name of. I’ve mostly been on own small servers or a server hosted by my friend named Swedish Tea Party.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

When looking back at life and past events, Xurgas feel nothing more than grateful. He had a happy childhood and was, maybe even, a spoiled young elf with protective parents. Though that, even Xurgas reached the age where he’s father had to learn him the art of combat so he could start a career on his own. Most of all Xurgas grew fond of using the sword. Although he became a decent fighter, it would take a while until he was proved in battle. His father worked as a messenger and did take the dangerous jobs, which made him well paid. Xurgas did took up the same profession and was proven in battle for the first time in life when encountered by two lost orcs in the wild outskirts of his home. With he’s father, he soon began to take on the more dangerous missions. Although his father died during a mission, Xurgas was in grief but kept on delivering messages. The missions didn’t just give him decent money (especially in times of war), but it did also give him adventures.

Xurgas is very confident in himself as his parents didn’t tell him more than that he was good. This is, of course, not the whole truth. He is skilled in combat, but lacks some social skills. He are very narrow minded and can easily loose the grip when he don’t get his will trough. This does not usually end up in fights, Xurgas rather go away just to sit somewhere and be angry. He loves adventuring and do value good company if most things is done in his way. He can in fact be a very nice guy if showed some respect. When meeting people for the first time he can be more stubborn and reserved.

He is a pretty long Elf with a twilight grey skin tone and green eyes. His hair are black and of shoulder-length. The body are as typical for elves, light and athletic.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Xurgas ambitions are to make money out of his profession as a messenger and, when ready for it, get a place of his own far away from where he grew up.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

The sword

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

As secretly as possible deliver messages in both small and big missions.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

As Xurgas see no good in two armed men attacking one smaller, he attacks the warriors.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

If visiting in business or visitning with no intention to buy anything, Xurgas are not staying for small talking. He ignores the merchant.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

The bars make good material and the sword looks good. He takes the items and walks away whilst looking suspiciously around him to make sure no one is there.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Xurgas suspiciously approaches the camp too see what kind of people they are. If he considers them to be kind and of good will, he gladly accompanies them for a while. Maybe they have food? If he considers them to be people of ill will and treachery, he may greet them and just walk away.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

More than fairly skilled in fight, he gladly applies to the request to make himself some extra money, and maybe make some good reputation in town. There is hardly anything to loose.

Your definition of powergaming is wrong in this context. You should research it.

I like your biography.

You need more detail in your open reponse questions. Tell more than your character's initial reaction, including dialogue, details of any combat and reactions of other characters. You need to really explain the scenario and follow it to its end.
