Minecraft Account Name:

My minecraft account name is Brandnewkitten

How old are you?:

I am 17 and will be 18 in August

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

Pacific Time Zone/ United States

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

English is my only Langauge, and I believe that I speak it quite well.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I am a high school senior who is very active in the theatre department at my school. I have been in 15 stage productions, and I am the president of my school's thespian troupe, choir, and senior class.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

I could be on the server daily for 2-6 hours at a time. So I expect to play around 20-30 hours a week

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Rolepleying is when you get to let your imagination run free; You can create a character and and fully imerse yourself in that person, wether they be a king or a blacksmith or maybe even a villain. Once you are roleplaying you are creating a life different from your own; One that has a story to tell and one that you are discovering. It's important to not break character (just like theatre), and to not let outside elements effect your character's story so that you can fully allow yourself to be that character.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I don't think I have had any direct gaming experiences with roleplaying but as I stated before I believe theatre is a form of roleplaying. Other than that I have always roleplayed with my brothers, and topics such as Lord of the Rings have always been in our roleplaying inventory.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-gaming is the act of using an outside medium to convey information while roleplaying. Things like forums and teamspeak allow you to tell people your ideas if they cannot be conveyed through an RP situation. Also since LOTC uses game names meta-gaming could mean calling them by their account or real name. In youtube videos that I have seen of this server players often use (( )) to show what the IRL person is trying to say. Meta-gaming is usually seen an inappropriate RP behavior as it can ruin how people react in a situation. An example of this would be if someone is planning to attack a base and they post on a forum for their team to attack, but the other side reads this and reacts out-of-character before their character actually knows the attack is coming.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power-gaming is when you or another player takes all of the power in an RP situation. It would be equivalent of them saying "I am unbeatable so I can't die." or taking all the action out of an RP situation and not letting the other player respond. "Kettlekorn runs up behind Blank and knocks them on the back of the head, rendering them unconscience." It doesnt allow full participation of both sides and therefore defeats the purpose of a true RP experience.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I have watched a ton of youtube videos on this server, and I think it is going to be a server with a ton of amazing building, RP experiences with people who share a love for adventure.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I haven't played longterm on any major servers other than close friends. However I have tested a few but they didn't give me the solid roleplaying feel that I was looking for.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes I have.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

I do promise to abide by said rules, laws including ones from the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak.

How did you hear about us?:

I found you on a random roleplaying server hunt on youtube.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?:

I have but I didn't recieve what number I was. Futhermore it said that this server had only 2 votes. I'm sure that can't be right but nonetheless I voted and I hope it helps.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

I was born beyond the reaches of any kingdom in a forest marked by no man. I have no recollection of the face that bore my unborn spirit as she was faced with death at the timing of my birth. I know that she was a creature of a sparkling nature, and was kept safe by the one I called father for she was a jewel beyond worth to him. I remember him often praising the Goddess Aeriel and praying that the sickness that claimed my mother would let the two us be. My father never talked about my mother, and I suspect it was to keep thoughts of her purely in vanishing memories.

In the early years of my life I recall the constant pale reflextion of my father's expression, and by my 12th year the same sickness had claimed my second parent. My father, Sylith, was but a new star in the sky and I had not even become familiar with my mother's name. I was alone, but at the time I believed fate was just in doing so as I had believed that I had cursed my mother and father with sickness. I didn't know why but I prayed to this Aeriel, the one that my father followed before me, that she may lift my isolation from me and gift to me a new, brighter life.

I found my prayers to be answered just past my 13 year when an old Orc found his way into the forest that I resided. It wasn't until later when I realized this Orc couldn't speak, so I decided to call him Grub because he seemed to eat alot. He never actually smiled but I could tell he was happy to have me in his company. I never found out why he was there or why he stayed but I didn't mind his company either. It occurs to me now that he might have stayed because he could've felt compelled to protect me, or he might have been an outlaw looking for a place to hide. I like to think that he stayed because he was just as lonely as I was.

My story changed when the undead came, striking down lightning, drunken with power, defiling the woods I once called home with fire. I was beaten, captured, cuffed, and made to watch as they slayed the Orc that had grown into a second father for me, and for that the seed of my hatred was planted.

They took me to one of their keeps; one that burned hard against the bitter cold we faced while traveling there. I found out later that the keep that I was being held at, right outside of Snowy fields, was the same keep that Sage Oko was held before the great rescue. I was made their servant, if that was what one could call me; More of the their personal fool that was made to entertain the drunken blasphamous bumbling beasts as they beat me relentlessly. My well-tempered nature allowed me to externally tolerate their cruelty but within their was a darkness growing in me, and I prayed to the Goddess Aeriel everyday for this pain to stop. I wish I could share in their ambition just so I could understand their monster-like behavior. This beasts were darker than the darkest cave as they showed no humanity while relentlessly beating me. On one account they branded my back with their hatred, and as I screamed my voice hoarse, they laughed and applauded my agony. My body was defiled by heat and scabbed over in hatred.

It wasn't until I was 23 of age that I actually saw myself in a mirror. I was struken by the relfection that resemmbled my mother. Her pale blue eyes, blonde hair and sparkling complextion was looking back into my eyes. I couldn't help becoming narcissistic as my complextion far outranked those of my corrupted enslavers. It was wasn't until I could see the scar of where I was branded that I was humbled. My rage grew futher and at the moment I vowed that I would seek my revenge.

Just past my 25th year I was saved from captivity during the small siege on their keep. Five Men in white robes who I later learned were Ascended Sages saved me. They struck down the undead with what seemed to be some divine power. I couldn't help but shed a tear as I knew Aeriel had sent these saviors to answer my prayers. Without even speaking a word the Ascended escorted me out of the dark fortress and lead me to the King's road and into the city of grand city Oren where two of the Sages, Sage Oko and Sage Rizzu, stayed to prepare a counter attack on the undead. We followed the road that, at the time, was unfamiliar to me, but the landmarks we saw that resided on it took my breath away. Just past Whisper island, and The Goblin trading post I saw the watchtowers of Aemon and Daemon. After that we came to Cloud Temple, a magnificent place that was full of life.

The three remaining Sages were Sage Sue, Sage Candle, and Sage Omni who all seemed to be beyond this earth. Sage Candle obviously was interested in talking about buildings as he would take a moment to talk about each one we passed. Sage Omni didn't say anything but with a nod he turned his path and headed to the temple as we went down a new smaller road with signs saying "Laurelin". I was left in Laurelin, if being "left" is what one would call it, since it was more of a priveledge to be able to stay in such a magnificent place. Never before had I seen, heard, and felt so many things. This was the starting point in my life, and now was finally the time for me to live.

(Several years later)

I have just passed my 29th year and I find myself in the new lands of Asulon, far from the clutches of the undead. Upon entering these new lands I think I am beginning to see, think, and feel again. The war was a heavy burden on all of the people of Aegis, and a greater burden to me as I watched as Laurelin was seiged and burned. I shutter to think of the night of the seige on the temple; All the souls lost in Aegis as the Undead reached their hands over the world grasping at it's last breath. I sit in prayer that this new world will be a better one, filled with peace, and with the blessings of Aeriel. I am forever in gratitude towards her and will follow her guidance till I am rejoined with my parents. Oh, how I wish to see the beautiful trees of Laurelin or relax in Ravenhold; both of which far exceeded the worth of these elven slums. Maybe it is time for a new adventure as I grow timesome of being tied down here. I hear the Grand Tree of Normandor is a fine sight to elven eyes.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

I mean to spread Aeriel's guidance to those not yet fortunate to see her light, and I will stop all who see fit to appose the light of the Goddess Aeriel with their darkened minds. Her guidance and knowledge will flow through the lands once more!

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

I fancy the shovel as I feel it allows me to better connect myself with nature.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

I find sneaking around to be very fun and playful. Over the years I have become quite the stealth artist.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format):

Other Information about your Character:

My character is very religous and knows that the Goddess Aeriel is the only reason he still lives. He wants nothing more but to spread her guidance to others and stop the influence of darker souls. He is very playful when speaking to people but can become unsure of himself quite quickly due to the injustices and tortue against him in earlier life.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Iatrilemar draws their attention with a small pebble and a whisper. Then emerge saying.

"Let light shine into your souls as your actions are filled with empty ambition. If you do not wish to test the accuracy then you will let the halfling go ."

Using the art of his speech he first attempts a jab at diplomacy, hoping for a peaceful resolution.

However these men are arrogant and laugh at the site of the elf as they draw their swords.

"Come shoot your sharpened sticks twiggie!"

Iatrilemar proceeds to sprint jump over the first guy and land bewteen the two men. The next adjacent guy attempts to smash his sword into Iatrilemar's head but he is able to avoid the attack by gliding to the right, and allowing the warrior to continue his attack into his partner's back, nearly killing him. Before he can retaliate Iatrilemar draws his bow and has an arrow positioned next to the second warrior's head.

"Now go, take with you the knowledge that you are defeated and be humbled. May Aeriel save you both."

Iatrilemar smirks as the second warrior helps his companion limp off down the road.

"Halfling allow me to acompany you to the nearest village so we may attend to your wounds."

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

"Hail Merchant, and let today's blessings be gift to our interactions."

Iatrilemar smiles as he converses with the merchant.

Merchant: "Did ye hear abou' thee wee lil' halfling that be saved? Aye, one of them elves it was."

Iatrilemar: "I have yet to hear that tale. Tell me friend, is the halfling recovering well?"

Merchant: "Aye he be still in town, and be a praying at the temple."

Iatrilemar offers the merchant a grateful smile, and bows to before leaving, the merchant warns him about the increase of evil forces to the south.

Iatrilemar: "You are a kind soul. Goodbye Sir and thank you."

Heading off down the road out of Alras, Iatrilemar swiftly changes his course to the south-bound route.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Iatrilemar checks the house to see if anyone might be home or injured, and is in need of help. Being very careful as to not disturb anything he finds the open chest and suspects that a cold fate has found the owner of the hut.

To his relief he find the contents still in place and in a low, praying tone says:

"May the light give safe return to the owner of this domain."

He then proceeds to back out of the hut leaving everything alone, and checks around the house to make sure everything is ok before he continues his path on the southern route.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

As Iatrilemar approaches he corrects his posture to make certain that his presence is recieved as strong as possible. He doesn't want to recieve a worried look from the traders, and he refuses to allow them find pity for him.

Iatrilemar: "Hail trader I am Iatrilemar, may blessings beseech you."

Trader: " Hail traveler. Aye ye be look'n weary. No need to be hiding your discomfort"

Iatrilemar realizes that the trader can tell how in need of food and rest he is, and lets his gaurd down.

Iatrilemar: "Then please, would you be so kind as to give me food and shelter for a night? I can pay"

Trader: "Aye, that be no problem, but I can't accept yer minas. Not for a traveler as weary as ye."

Iatrilemar: "Kind spirit, may Aeriel bless you with a long prosperous life."

The next morning Iatrilemar makes sure to wake up early so he isn't noticed while leaving. As he exits the camp he leaves behind minas and a note saying.

"Thank you sir, but I cannot find it in me to offer you nothing in return. Please accept these 100 minas and may your life bring you joy."

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Due to Iatrilemar's unselfish nature he would offer the support if it would help banish evil from this world. He wouldn't lead the assault but could easily help flank the bandits as he is talented in archery and stalking.

"The stars shine on our meeting here my friends. I will gladly offer you my bow in your efforts to cleanse the land and bring the light of Aeriel to the people."
