Character Name: Fawkes Valek

What Race are you?: I, my friend am of the Human race.

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): My family was generations on humble Southeron farmers.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Fawkes woke up early one warm morning, he wandered down the creaky corridor until he reached his parents chambers. He peaked inside the door and witnessed them both laying in the bed, they both looked up and smiled at their young 10 year old boy. His Father, Ferny Valek, and his Mother, Basil Valek, have been ill with a strange plague for several weeks. They had both become bedridden on day four. Fawkes was left to tend to the animals and the crops of their farm. He returned to them a smile and proceeded downstairs to prepare a meal for them. 30 minutes later he was climbing the stairs with a tray of freshly cooked chicken eggs and bacon, with just gathered milk. Fawkes pushed open the door to his parents room and stood for a moment. His father's life-less body lay on the bed with a grief stricken mother sobbing over him. Fawkes dropped tray and just stared. His mother's eyes, all dried up, rolled into a white pit of oblivion as she also went into a never ending slumber.

Fawkes slumped over to the side of the bed and wept solemnly for hours. He sat up, and went to the door, looking back but for a mere second and lightly closed the door. He gathered his belongings, what left he had, and went to the front door of the little farm house, waiting for his Uncle Bertram to arrive. Bertram had been visiting the residence every week since the illness had started to check on his brother and help Fawkes with the farm work. Bertram arrived shortly after midday and saw a sad Fawkes sitting upon the steps. He approached him and sat down next to him. Bertram inquired why he was so sad, and Fawkes explained to him what had occurred mere hours before. At the end of Fawkes telling, Bertram held the brown haired boy and allowed his light blue eyes to create tears before him. All the while, trying to fight back his own.

That day was but only seven years past, but to Fawkes it felt like an entirely different reality. Bertram had taken Fawkes in and raised him on his farm. Bertram had grown old in the last seven years and wasn't able to keep up with the amount of work needed to run the farm. Thus Fawkes, as a young and vibrant 17 year old boy, was glad to do his uncle's share. Sitting on his chair on the front porch Bertram began to think about his usefulness in this life. He called over the young Fawkes and told him of this thought. Believing that he had outlived most of his generation, he felt that he needed to be reborn into something new. Fawkes slowing and sadly accepted his Uncle's wishes, but tried to protest. Bertram wanted to hear nothing of it.

The next day Fawkes had been left with what he thought were two choices. He could either stay here at his uncle's old farm and carry out his families tradition, or he could do something else with his life. Try to make the Valek name a Noble and proud one. Which one did he choose you ask? Well that my friend, is history.

What is your Character's ambitions?: To become of High and Noble standing.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Born with a stone hoe in is hands, Fawkes grew to love the ax by chopping trees for his father.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? He can be very persuasive.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): 1p9m43.png

Other Information about your Character: Fawkes loves to chop trees with his ax, but would gladly use it to defend himself from roadside robbers on his trade route.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I would approach the two warriors and inquire what they were doing. While I had their attention, I would proceed to signal to the halfling to go and run quickly. By the time they turn back and realize they were distracted, I would already be running with a grin on my face.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I would step out of the hut and look around quickly to see if the owner of the chest could be spotted. If the owner is no where to be found, I would place a sign above the chest stating that he should consider either moving to a move secret location or take caution that a not as nice traveler may get greedy.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I smile and wave as I approach their settlement. I proceed to ask if I am able to spend my night here. They than go and provide me with a place to lay my head and a nice orange mug Silver Linning as we all laugh through the night as our tongues all numb away.
