Dalek348 1962 Share Posted March 26, 2012 MC Username: Dalek348 Rp Username (be sure to include the correct prefix, look up on info thread): Si’Skadi Character Skillset: Skadi uses a bow and arrow when in the hunt, and two short sickleswords used to deal the final killing blows to his enemies, and to acquire their blood for his personal uses. Therefore competence in archery and swordsmanship are required to successfully hunt his foes, and minor proficiencies in blacksmithing for when he ventures too far from the jungles of Karakatua to have a blacksmith repair his wares. Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender): Entered the world at the age of seventy-six after Metztli graced him into this world, Skadi is middle aged as it goes for Kharajyr. Of the Kha’Leparda breed of Kharajyr, he is neither too muscley nor too weak, he is shorter than the average Kha’Leparda, slender and short he is the perfect hunter. His eyes are a deep emerald from abuse of herbs and plants found deep in the jungles of Karakatua they are piercing and strong. Skadi wears the blood of his hunt on his face, animals slain by his bow or sicklesword have their blood extracted and painted on his face in a spiritual act, creating an impressive blood red and gold image on his face that intimidates many. Personality: Skadi is honourable and noble on the exterior, but truly deep down he has a lust for glory, power and wealth. While he may appear as a noble hunter he will truly do anything to anyone to exact his dominance over his peers. His times of deceit and lust for power are few, however. He is wise and noble towards his close friends and offers his wisdom to many, his times alone on the hunt have caused him to be contemplative and wise. While he may rarely be deceitful to the common folk, the might of the Tlatlanni and the grace of Metztli have his undying support and unwavering loyalty. Please include a short bio of your character's life: ~ The liife of Skadi was not one of heroic adventure and dazzlingly ambitious hopes and dreams, nor one of tragedy and despair shrouding the early days of his childhood. Skadi experienced an upbringing of morality, cursed only with the attributes he was granted at birth, though they might be considered blessings. Even today Skadi does not possess ardent dreams of hope and glory. He lives in the present for himself only, not to please others with fanciful tales of adventure and heroism. Only Metztli herself knows what the future may dictate for Skadi. ~ As a kitten, Skadi was seen to bear many fierce characteristics that isolated him from his fellow kittens. He expressed a preference for a solitary lifestyle, and a proficiency in the wielding of bow and arrow. Due to the culture of the Kharajyr, Skadi learnt swordsmanship from a young age, preferring to wield sickleswords accompanied with his trusty arrow and bow.He knew all too well that these weapons would become the tools of his trade, for all he longed to do was be alone under the canopy, the cool wind stirring his fur slightly, and Metztli’s grace glittering through the lush green canopy, with the sweet smell of the hunt in his nose and his paws pounding the earth as he chases his kill. Character's ambitions: Merely to hunt, and serve his nation in times of war. To protect the Tlatlanni, and keep the roving apes from roaming their lands. He needs to make a living, and to perhaps even rise through society to offer wisdom to kittens and become known as a figure of respect. _---Situational Rp Questions---_ 1. As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?: Through the glimmering emerald green light beneath the great canopy of Karakatua, Skadi smells an ape. An ape which is advancing towards him, stumbling and bumbling like a fat fool. Skadi merely perches himself on a mass of foliage on the gorund and awaits the inevitable emergence of the ape. He appears, and Skadi remains silent, observing him with his dark green eyes. “Oh! Goodness! I’ve been here for days, without any proper supplies!”. Skadi thinks, ‘Been on Metztli’s sacred land for days without detection or apprehension? And what of the supplies? Has he been defiling the great lands of Metztli, spreading his poisonous little fingers on every inch of land?’. Skadi begins to growl menacingly, and nocks a bow in his arrow. Skadi gives him a look, and decides to have a good old fashioned hunt. 2. As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak. "Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!" He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?: Skadi takes the verbal assault dealt upon him, for he knows these are not his lands and the apes have every right to act as aggressive as they want. This racism will not eventually go undeserved, however. The Dwarf will feel Mteztli’s wrath, for he dares insult one of her children. Skadi remains silent and dignified, for he knows that he must not tarnish the reputation of his race. 3. One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response? Killing another Kharajr? One of Metzli’s children lay slain by the hand of another? But over a slice of cake, which is a very dear thing in Karakatuan society. Though in Skadi’s eyes it is not justifiable to murder over such a thing, as he is a close friend he takes him in as a recluse. Skadi offers his wisdom to him, and reforms him to be a better person, learning not to foolishly spill blood when the times are unjustified. Skadi will protect him, but if the law finds him then his responsibility over his friend must be relinquished, for he is smart enough to realise the consequences of one’s actions. Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred? Absolutely. Metztli take my life from me if I do not.
