VILLAGE CHARTER

MC Name: Ursolon

RP Name: Ursolon Amedaius

Village Name: Fairfield

Why is your character starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose?

Ursolon has lived within Ascella for years. Watching it thrive under Markus' rule and also fall under his rule. He left after Markus' passed. Returning once he had heard a group had started to rebuild it, he decided to become a part of it once more. After the great storm that caused massive damage to the Cloud Temple and the town of Ascella, Ursolon offered his time to King Renati of Seventis. Instructed with the task of rebuilding the town, Ursolon soon noticed that the lord, Lord Jullius, was nowhere to be found in Ascella's time of need. Angered by Lord Jullius' negligence, Ursolon attempted to usurp him...

Time passed. Ursolon gathered supporters but when the final moment came, King Renati couldn't find the will to remove Lord Jullius and Ursolon's efforts were to no use. Renati, however, recognized the great progress that Ursolon had made since he came back to Ascella and offered him the position of Steward, or second in command to the Lord. Feeling betrayed and depressed, Ursolon accepted the offer and became the Steward of Ascella. While he was Steward, Ursolon observed Jullius' power tear his heart and mind apart. Fearing the worst for the town and his own life, Ursolon left Ascella. His dreams of becoming a powerful noble lord of a great city had been crushed by his memories of Jullius' madness. Knowing what would become of him if he were to become the Lord of Ascella at some point, he decided to give up his old lifestyle and return to the good times. Returning to the fields and tilling the soil was the only thing that Ursolon wished for. Hoping to save his son, Arthrian from a similiar fate to that of Jullius, he decided he would start a new village. One that wouldn't thrive for power but simply for peace and happiness.

What type of political system or leadership is within the village?

While not having an official "Lord", there will be a leader of the village who will be in charge of collecting taxes and approving new citizenship requests. Also, there won't be any set jobs for the people of the village. As a citizen of Fairfield, you will be expected to provide whatever assistance you can in a time of need. Whether this be a bandit raid, where the militia is required or help stabilizing the economy after a crash, you will have to do your part.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

The people of Fairfield will promote peace to all races and factions. Fairfield will be an agricultural village, focused on farming and building a friendly community within the town.

All races will be allowed in Fairfield however, violence will not be tolerated, nor will any disturbances of the peace.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

That is Ascella to the West and so the Cloud Temple is to the North. Obviously, the plot won't be that large, however, the hope is that it will eventually expand to cover that entire peninsula.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

The town is under Human rule and will display Human architecture. The village will include all forms of agriculture, including breeding/herding animals and farming wheat and melons and so forth. The buildings will have a similar appearance to those of the town of Mireton ( found
)

Special thanks to Pepernoot for the idea for the houses.

Players who have agreed to sign this charter (5 name minimum):

1: Ursolon Amedaius ( Ursolon )

2: Arthrian Amedaius ( GavLan )

3: Dobbs ( Taylor22211 )

4: Finch ( N008TU83 )

5: Malus Cereidon ( Fuzz747 )

Is this town under Seventis as well, or independent?

Currently independent for the Seventis Kingdom doesn't exist as of yet.

Exaggeration is the key to bringing attention to a subject.

Also, it has to be near Ascella. When the Seventis Nation is formed, Fairfield must be within the boundaries.

Lastly, I suppose I should have noted before, depending on when this accepted, I have King Renati's approval in the matter.

Though I'm curious to why I'm not mentioned at all in your background lore. I run Ascella also you know.

Well Ursolon wasn't affected by Ariana's presence as much as he was by that of Jullius.

If the housing is cheap enough, I might move there to get a taste of the farm life myself.

It may be some time before homes will be available to "non-permanent" residents. However, visitors are always welcome and you'll always find an open hearth.

Well, I suppose I'll buy a farm there as well. The underground one is not the most efficient.

This is wonderful news, however, keep in mind that land will be very expensive to visitors in comparison to residents... For obvious reasons...

I've not even thought about pricing yet. If you were to help me build the village, you would be compensated with home. ( depending on how much of a help you are and/or how much work you do. )

I could help, even build an inn with my own materials, but I can only go on on weekends due to my parents((you guessed it, I am chinese)) and only for about 1-2 hours a day at that. Unless I trick them.

As awesome as a "free inn" sounds, I'll have to decline. Remember that a village is only 25x25 and I have to house 5 people as well as save room for farms and what not... All the while keeping the village aesthetically pleasing.
