Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am 15 years old, male, brown hair and I wear glasses, I am 6 foot, 2 and I love to play AFL ( most people in America do not know what this sport is )

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 14 – 20 hrs / week

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying, to me, is what you do when you make up a character and stick to it. i.e. if I made up a grumpy old man as a character, then I wouldn’t go around speaking like a young teenaged rebel.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Well, I have played The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Skyrim, Runescape, but apart from that..... not much. I am in the process of writing a book though, and I think I have a pretty good imagination.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is acting on the information that you, as a real human, would know but your character would have no idea. i.e. When playing mineraft, you can see the other players name above their head, therefore seeing where they are if they are below ground or coming around a corner. To keep in with the theme of role-play, we must choose to not notice the nametag as our character would not be able to see it.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-gaming in roleplay is when a player acts unreasonable or does an action like; *Azuli fires a crossbow bolt into Yaskan, killing him instantly.* That was unreasonable because Yaskan had no time to retaliate. This would be a better action to do; *Azuli loads his crossbow and points it at Yaskan* and then Yaskan would have the oppounity to do; *Yaskan gets ready to dodge the bolt that Azuli is about to fire at him* or *Yaskan runs away, scarred for life*

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect that this server will be fun and exiting. I have been looking for a server that enforces roleplaying really heavily because, to be honest, rolepaying doesn’t work if even one person stuffs it up.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on SG Craft, a pvp server with a great community. But then the owner opened up a second server called SG Tekkit, and then most of the community went over there. It started to get boring because the admins and mods weren’t coming on SG Craft anymore.... which meant..... laws not being enforced..... drops in the community and with no community, no people to talk with. It is still a great server. But I need another to play on until it picks up again.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): There are glimpses of my past before the great battle that I can remember.... me sparring with my father, a tall blacksmith he was.....my mother’s funeral pyre on top of the great stone statue... but they and a few others are all I can remember before being washed up on the coast of Asulon.

I was 25 years of age then. I was carrying a longbow, a quiver of arrows, a longsord and a mottled green cloak. These are the only items I have of my early days. I found a path and started walking down it when I saw a rather plump looking man being hassled by two brutes. I confronted them, asking what they wanted, but then they turned on me, both wielding diamond axes. I ran I couple meters but then thought to myself that although I don’t know who I am, I want to be a man that helps people, I want to be remembered, but not praised. So I took out my bow, knocked an arrow, and set it soaring though the first brute’s chest. (Wow I am pretty good at this) I thought. Then I drew my sword and charged at the second man. It seemed that I was either handy with a sword, or he hadn’t used his axe ever , because I overpowered him within seconds and sent him away. I don’t like to kill unless it is absolutely necessary. The plump man rewarded me with a lot of gold and offered me a place to stay but I declined the meal and bed or the night because it may seem that I like to keep to myself. So along I went exploring both the new land I washed up upon, but also finding and remembering more about myself.

I like to keep to myself, whether it be because I’m still trying to figure out who I am, or I was always a quiet person and these action are just in my subconscious. I don’t care. I like to be alone most of the time; no noise and I don’t need to worry about anyone else but yourself. I don’t have very many friends. That’s probably because I don’t trust many people. But I suppose that is a good thing in this time and age. It is better to have a couple friends that you trust with life, than lots of backstabbers that want your money and are just around you so you protect them.

The incident with the plump man was 3 years ago, since then I have built myself a small wooden shack and I'm gathering supplies to go build a hide out for a group I want to run and help people with. I have also been training myself in the arts of combat and cooking. I was never a good cook....always burning the food or not putting in enough salt. Ha ha it is hard.

What is your Character's ambitions?: To work out who he is, create a guild to help people.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Yaskan’s Favourite tool is a sword. He has had a sword with him for as long as he can remember. He also likes his bow; it makes him feel safe that it doesn’t matter how far away you are, you can still defend yourself.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Building, swordsmanship, archery and thinking strategically.

I told the man that I was after some arrows and if he could tell me a price. “Gladly. Just one moment”. He replied. He then turned into his storeroom and came out with a quiver of 30 arrows, saying that he wanted 150 minas for it. I was taken aback at that price. I had never really liked merchants; they are just people trying to rip off others. And was your proof. I told him I would pay 50 minas, he said “Now now fine sir, surely someone with your elegant cloth----“ and with that I walked out of the shop and continued on my way.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

There is an wooden hut with 2 chests in it. All the other furniture had been turned over and looked through as if people had left in a hurry. I walk by it and see the mess inside through the door. I decide to take a look. Inside I discover the two chests and look in the first. There is nothing in it. So I check the second one. Oooohhhh. A gold sword and some iron! But I must check if anyone is actually here or if these items are abandoned. So I go and check the vicinity outside of the cabin and check through the other furniture. And a finally decide that whoever was living here has gone. So I take the gold sword and pocket the iron bars and leave.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

“I can’t think straight..... so... tired... and hungry.... wait, what is that light in the distance?....”. So I muster every amount of strength and set off toward the mysterious light, just hoping, wishing, that whatever is at the light would have some food. I arrive at a camp, a trading outpost and I see people there, they see me. But just as I was about to greet them I blacked out........

I am lying on a straw camp bed next to a fire.....why?..... wait that’s right I'm at a trading outpost! “ Greetings traveller, my name is Elendel, Elendel Whitestreak.” Said a tall elf with the darkest black hair you could imagine with a pure white streak of hair on his brow. “ This is my trading outpost”.

“Many thanks to you Elendel. I do not know what I would have done if your camp hadn’t rested and fed me.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

I hear that there are bandits occupying the road out of town. I offer my assistance to the town guard and ask that I could have 4 archers. The guard leader accepts and I travel down to where the bandit camp is. I order the guards to form a semi-circle formation in the forest behind the camp. I then walk in around the to the front of the camp with my bow knocked. I fire an arrow into the tree near the lookout and he alerts the other 5 bandits of the trouble. I then walk into the camp with my sword drawn and ask them to leave and tell them that if they do there wont be any trouble. They don’t listen. They approach me and a parry a thrust from a bandit and yell out to the hiding archers who fire a volley into the other enemies. I return to the head guard and say that I don’t want the reward. He insists. So I take half.

I am very sorry, but your application has been moved to the denied section of the forums. There are numerous reasons for this, all of which I have included in my feedback below this message. In the mean time there is an abundant source of information, stories, guides and other helpful tips to get you on your way to being accepted; all you need to do is look around. I would suggest the lord of the craft wiki and application submissions section of the forums to start off your little quest to make the best application. Good luck!

The reasons that I have denied you are:

Your have used incorrect formatting of the application.

You need to re-copy the application format. Make sure you have copied the text from the white box and not anywhere else. Also make sure that you do not delete anything in [these square brackets] as they are vital to keep the colour, boldness and size of the text. If you are having trouble because your entire application turns out in funny colours, make sure that you are writing your answers on a line underneath the question, as this is a common error and can mess up the formatting of your application.

You did not give valid examples of RP, or you did not describe how your examples are RP.

You need to describe to us how the games or locations you have talked about pertain to an RP environment.

RPGs or Role-Playing Games are not RP’s.

Games such as World of Warcraft, Skyrim, Rift or similar do not count as Roleplaying as there is no person to person interaction within a Roleplaying scenario (unless of course you were on a Roleplaying server in which you need to explain where and how you role-played to show your understanding of the term).

Your biography has a lot of errors.

Your biography currently shows Villain attributes. These are things such as corruption, thievery, murder, cannibalism or unholy worship. These sorts of things must be applied for separately to this application, but can only be applied for after around a month of being accepted and Roleplaying on the server.

Your biography contains powergaming. In the context of your biography this can be anything from encountering an enemy and just beating it without explaining how, or just defeating it unrealistically.

You have not included any lore from the world of Asulon or the lore you did include contradicts that of Asulon. I recommend that you do a lot of research as to what you race is and how they act, as well as towns and places that you could use in your biography. I would also like to note that the entire server escaped from Aegis about 25 in game years ago to move to Asulon, I suggest you do some research on this point. Do note this is not Skyrim or Lord of the Rings, we have our own universe with our own races. For ideas and lore you can look on the Lord of the Craft wiki (link on the main page), the Role-play or History sections of the forums or better yet; talk to the people themselves. Just join in our Team Speak channel and ask around! We welcome new people :)

You need to complete the entire biography, detailing all your characters history, age, personality and description. We also like to see little role-play quirks such as habits like the constant brushing back of a fringe, or the scratching of an itchy palm.

Every single thing in your application must have a justification. For example:

John’s father taught him swordsman ship and the lay of the land. X BAD

John’s father was a retired swordsman in the Oren military, after the undead attacks and the moving to Asulon he decided it was time that he lay down the sword for more important matters, family. Now days John’s father teaches John the way of the sword, not so that he can join any particular military, but so that he can defend himself for future experiences to come. √GOOD

Your ambitions are underdeveloped.

You need to show some advanced thought processes. What would your character like to do in the near and distant futures? What is your character planning? You also need to justify your decisions. Why does your character want to do this? Things such as planning to kill all bandits, orcs, humans etc. are unacceptable ambitions as this would require a villainous activity.

Your answers to the favourite tool/best skill questions are underdeveloped.

You need to justify why you have chosen the choices you have. It is all well and good that your character can run really fast, or is light on their feet: but why?

You included the "htlm" coding and then placed that in the image embedder built into the post editting software. Just either copy and paste the raw link into the image embedder or find the link for forum posts on image shack.

Yaskan is a patient man that likes to think things out before he acts. He is generally not noticed by the public because of his cloak and the way he moves. Yaskan would study the two armed warriors, see what type of armour they were wearing, what they were wielding, ect, ect.

He can "not be noticed by the public" now can he? Sounds strangely close to magic. Also there are no rangers apprentice cloaks here sorry :/

You powergamed in the first senario. Two fully grown orcs against a single archer leaves the archer with a very small chance of survival. Write it realistically please. You also stereotype Orcs as being the big bad brutes of the server, this is not the case.

You engaged in combat without prior RP, this needs to be recified.

Same thing with your last response. You are playing too much the big hero like in Skyrim. You aren't a hero in this game, you are a normal person. You aren't stronger than the average person, you aren't better at fighting, you are just another adventurer looking for a place in the world. Do not assume that bandits and orcs are things that you can just kill like you would flies, this is a roleplay server, not an RPG like runescape.
