Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, I think I have a good grip on the English language, It is the only language I know and speak.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am casual, often bored teenager, I spend most of that bored time playing games like Little Big Planet, Magicka, Toribash, Minecraft, and Mount & Blade. In my other spare time I Draw and paint, digitaly and traditionaly.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I could spend 6-10 Hours a week depending on work, school and my Art.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Role playing or RP is when a person creates a character that they then become, carrying out actions that would be done by this created character depending on what the character has seen, done, learnt, or has been told, through other people or tales. However Role playing can also involve what the Player (Person who created the character) has learnt. This is not how Role playing truly is though, as it violates the purpose of roleplaying. Taking on a new, different and interesting life, learnt, viewed and experienced through our character.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I often play casual games of Dnd with my friends and found it very fun as the limits are almost endless, how ever this has always been very casual, and I have always wanted to experience a true and large Role playing community.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta gaming is taking information out-of-character. Often taking it out of experience, reading, other people and what you have heard, all of which has been done outside of the game.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power Gaming is forcefully taking action upon something, such as attacking another player who has not been informed of your attack and has no guard of themselves. This often ruins the challenge of games and might aswell be cheating, instead of allowing the other player to defend themselves, creating a challenge or obstacle the player must overcome.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I hope the server will be a large Role playing Community who truly role play without Power or Meta gaming.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I used to play on the Embarker Town server but it didnt have the role play I craved for. I also played on my friends' servers, surviving and creating structures together.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read the rules and agree with them, as they preserve true roleplaying in such a large community

How did you hear about us?: I googled Minecraft Roleplaying Servers and this one appeared the most dedicated aswell as the largest.

What Race are you?: I'm a Human.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

"Why am I here? something I could ask all my life, I've never sat round long enough tell it. Now im ere' its probly the perfect time. Grab a seat then, you've got a long story ahead of ya'.

When I was just a lad, I grew up with a con man, conned me right to hell that man did. But what was I to do, I was nothin but a run away. I did meet my parents once, They were nufin but a bunch of wa*%$rs if you ask me, I left em... bunch of old farts sittin in their chairs, havin a puff of their torches. What was I to do eh? I ran thats what. Ditched em'... bunch of nobodies. Little did I know I was about to be dragged into the biggest underground con system the likes of this crumy world has ever seen. Was simple it was, be freindly to the children, get em' to leave home then tell em to sit on the streets begging for money. Bloody worked though, Oh we sure tricked them. At the end of each day it would be pooled in to one big group, we'd be fed and sheltered, but that was about it. I learnt that before they kicked me out, ran away from that lot too. I began explorin' caves for ores, gold, and of course my favourite, ruins. learnt everything I know from them puzzles, studied how they were built, nuthin' were to keep me from figurin' out how each of em worked. I'd return to the nearest town sell my collectives, have a quick gamble and head off before anyone knew me.

By the age of 19 I was traveling across land, lootin' anythin' I could get me hands on. Then I fell into some rat a*% debt. With the lowest little scoundrels you ever seen. They chased me every where I went that lot, soon I became addicted to the chase, payin' em with small amounts of gold every time we met just to keep em on me. After I had payed em' off, I began turning to other deeds, that of course you may know of. The guards were a whole new game, runing from heavily armed soldiers was good fun, I had made severel succesful hits on different houses until they began to catch on. On me ninth run I was about to ditch the place and bolt, but as soon as I opened the window, two guards were standing on the roof top, looking pretty dam happy with em' selves. Now I've spent two years in prison!

"Great I'm sick of this stinkin' hole of a prison, I'm headin' for a new life. I'm headin'... to Asulon."

OOC- A fair bodied man who sees himself as a treasure hunter, however hes always been a street urchin, looking for fun. Although this fun over the years has brought him to the knees of his own greed, often leading himself into great debt with the wrong people, forcing his every adventure to some conclusion of more gold, more rarities, more valuables and of course more Adventure! Atravim craves for adrenaline, whether its climbing a mountain at the chase of an enemy or the tremble of an ancient tale, come to life. Atravim has cursed himself to a constant life of adveture and ever since has struggled to find a town to settle down in, as his greed and cravings always come around.

What is your Character's ambitions?: Atravim has never had an aim in life other than to stay out of debt and to resist his urges.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): " What is my favourite tool eh? hmm.. now thats somin I gotta think about then isnt it? I've never held onto something long enough to hav a favourite. Now thats were I'm wrong now isnt it? me hands, had em all my life, things im most fond of... Me hands"

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Climbing, its whats kept him safe all his childhood, and thats what will keep him safe for the rest of his life.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Thinking to himself "hmm... I don't think I should try anything, those men seem pretty armed and I've got nothin' against them, I should probly keep me distance, I don't want to get on anyone's bad side now do I."

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Back off mate you aint' gettin in my pockets, go sell you stinkin filth to someone else." As he spits on the Ground.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: "Looks as if someone's misplaced some valuables, Don't know who though? Who'd wanna' live in this dirty Hovel?""

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Ello' mate I've been walkin' for quite a while, you know where the nearest village is, I'l pocket you a Gold sword for ya' help?"

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: "Yea I'll have a wack, I've delved in the arts of combat a bit, I reckon I'd be right up for that reward"

I am very sorry, but your application has been moved to the denied section of the forums. There are numerous reasons for this, all of which I have included in my feedback below this message. In the mean time there is an abundant source of information, stories, guides and other helpful tips to get you on your way to being accepted; all you need to do is look around. I would suggest the lord of the craft wiki and application submissions section of the forums to start off your little quest to make the best application. Good luck!

The reasons that I have denied you are:

Your have used incorrect formatting of the application.

You need to re-copy the application format. Make sure you have copied the text from the white box and not anywhere else. Also make sure that you do not delete anything in [these square brackets] as they are vital to keep the colour, boldness and size of the text. If you are having trouble because your entire application turns out in funny colours, make sure that you are writing your answers on a line underneath the question, as this is a common error and can mess up the formatting of your application.

Your definition of power-gaming is incorrect.

In lord of the craft we use an RP definition of power-gaming, rather than an RPG definition. While these may seem like the same thing, we can loosely judge that an RPG definition would fit in with games such as World of Warcraft or Skyrim, and the RP definition would fit in with games such as D&D or other person to person Roleplaying. Please do not confuse the definition we use to the definition that other Roleplaying groups may use, relating to creating a character which is too powerful, or doing an “overpowered” action; this is not the definition we use. To make sure you have the correct definition you can either have a look at the Lord of the Craft wiki, or by joining our Team Speak channel (send me a message if you need help getting started) and asking an experienced member. I would also like you to include an example of the term as it demonstrates your understanding of the concept.

There are very few definitions of meta-gaming so it would be rare that you could confuse meta-gaming with another term. I would suggest that you go back to researching (or perhaps begin to research if you guessed the definition) and find out a correct definition pertaining to Roleplaying. I suggest that you do a Google search for the term, look on the Lord of the Craft wiki or join our Team Speak channel. Please do remember that plagiarising (copying someone else’s work) may warrant you a temporary or permanent ban from applying to the server: so don’t do it! I would also like you to include an example of the term as it demonstrates your understanding of the concept.

Your biography has a lot of errors.

Your biography currently shows Villain attributes. These are things such as corruption, thievery, murder, cannibalism or unholy worship. These sorts of things must be applied for separately to this application, but can only be applied for after around a month of being accepted and Roleplaying on the server.

You have not included any (or much) lore from the world of Asulon or the lore you did include contradicts that of Asulon. I recommend that you do a lot of research as to what you race is and how they act, as well as towns and places that you could use in your biography. I would also like to note that the entire server escaped from Aegis about 25 in game years ago to move to Asulon, I suggest you do some research on this point. Do note this is not Skyrim or Lord of the Rings, we have our own universe with our own races. For ideas and lore you can look on the Lord of the Craft wiki (link on the main page), the Role-play or History sections of the forums or better yet; talk to the people themselves. Just join in our Team Speak channel and ask around! We welcome new people :)

You need to complete the entire biography, detailing all your characters history, age, personality and description. We also like to see little role-play quirks such as habits like the constant brushing back of a fringe, or the scratching of an itchy palm.

Every single thing in your application must have a justification. For example:

John’s father taught him swordsman ship and the lay of the land. X BAD

John’s father was a retired swordsman in the Oren military, after the undead attacks and the moving to Asulon he decided it was time that he lay down the sword for more important matters, family. Now days John’s father teaches John the way of the sword, not so that he can join any particular military, but so that he can defend himself for future experiences to come. √GOOD

You need to embed the screenshot of your skin.

For me to accept you I must be able to view your skin as I need to judge whether it is acceptable for this server, reason being if someone joins this server, but do not show their skin but they have a Tron skin on I would be in big trouble, but for me to be able to view your skin it must also be embedded. The reason your skin needs to be embedded is because recently people have been linking some dangerous websites to where the image of their skin has been hosted. To avoid this we request that the image is directly linked to this website either as an upload or being embedded into the post itself. You can do this by following this tutorial:

1. Go in-game and press the “F5” button TWICE. (Not once as this will show the back of your character)

2. Take a screen shot by pressing the "PrntScr" button on a windows computer or press F2 on the keyboard, then go to start => Run and type in this: %appdata%/.minecraft/screenshots

3. Find the screenshot and open it in an image manipulation program such as Paint or Gimp.

4. Crop the image so that only the area close to your skin (including the skin) remains.

5. Save the file and go to tinypic.com

6. Upload the file

7. Click ONCE on the text box underneath: "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards"

8. Right click and copy the entire text

9. Paste in your new application

Some or all of your answers to the Open Response questions need a lot of improvement.

Instead of describing what your character would do, you need to assume that your character is in the situation and acting as they would in that situation. You need to describe a scene of RP. This means that you cannot write “If this happens, then my character would do that.” As this shows that you are not Roleplaying, you are answering the question from what you think that your character might do. You need to show us that you know who your character is, you know what the situation is and you know how your character is going to react.

This also means that you need to write in full RP. For example:

Josh talks to the shopkeeper, buys a few apples, pays the shop keeper and leaves. X BAD

Josh walks up to the man standing behind the rough oaken market stand. The sounds of a busy market can be heard all around him. An annoying fly buzzes around his head, so he absent-mindedly begins to inefficiently swat it away. “Ah, greetings shopkeeper! I was just browsing your wares.” The shopkeeper nods at Josh and then turns towards another customer to attempt to assist them the way all market shopkeepers must. Suddenly Josh felt a slight tugging sensation on his belt. He was about to brush it off as nothing, perhaps just someone bumping into him until he realised his belt was slightly lighter. He noticed a man beginning to run off in the opposite direction of himself. He glanced down to see that his coin purse was missing. He put two and two together and then shouted at the top of his lungs. “STOP THEIF!”… √ GOOD!
