Xanivic 2 Share Posted April 6, 2012 MC Username: Xanivic. Rp Username (be sure to include the correct prefix, look up on info thread): So'Kothre. Character Skillset: So'Kothre is somewhat skilled with a blade as well as a bow, though he has an interest in developing wrestling/unarmed skills. Though So'Kothre has a downfall that can be easily exploited during combat, that being his delivery of moderately slow strikes, his tremendous power may compensate for that. - Swordsmanship: 50 - Archery: 30 Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender): So'Kothre, a hulking Kha'Tigrasi male, stands at rougly 6'3 with a confident posture. His eyes are a pale green shade. A coat of dark orange fur with black and dark brown streaks beautifully cover his body. He wears a bronze necklace, gemmed with the sacred stone of Lapis Lazuli. His torso is bare, though his lower body consists of a thin silk material with a reddish tint, trimmed with a greenish teal shade, along with corresponding bracers around his forearms. His current age is 28. Personality: Though So'Kothre may appear ominous, his soul is kind for the most part; he is wary of non Kha's, displaying no kindess to those who aren't unless they display kindness to him. He values pride, honor, and respect above all else, and shares compassion and empathy for his loved ones. In times of combat, he displays aggressive and intimidating behavior towards his opponents. To those who disgrace his goddess, Metztli, he portrays disgust and anger. Please include a short bio of your character's life: So'Kothre lived a fairly adventurous childhood. Vaguely, he recalled his parents being seekers of ancient artifacts and treasures, obessively searching in all nooks and crannies. Due to this, So'Kothre developed a passion for precious gems, collecting whatever he came across when scavenging for artifacts along with his determined parents. Throughout several excavations and searches, So'Kothre discovered a copious amount of uncommon stones, varying from opal to jade. Though, on one of his journeys, he discovered a fairly strange gem. One that significantly differed from all others. Not knowing the actual name of the odd stone, So'Kothre questioned his parents about it. Unfortunately, his parents' greed overcame them as they snatched it from his hands then storing it away, leaving So'Kothre saddened and empty handed. Though So'Kothre highly respected his father, he became enraged, longing for the precious, deep-blue gem. During his years of adolesence and maturing, he became restless due to visions as he slept. Visions of an anonymous figure that had yet to be discovered. One morning, So'Kothre awoke. He suddenly noticed the leather case in which lied the gem. Blankly he glared as his vision became hazed. The anonymous figure, with fluid, gentle movements became visible. So'Kothre had entered a trance like state, then breaking the trance, suddenly gasped, inhaling deeply while clenching his fist. A smooth, though odd sensation began to develop in his hand as he opened it, revealing the gem lying within his palm."Son, I would like for you to meet a dear friend of mine!" His father shouted from the doorway. After the brief meeting between the father's friend, a Kha'Pantera and So'Kothre, he was offered, what So'Kothre initially believed, a "walk along the shore" by the father's friend. It proved to be much more than merely that. "Your father told me you were an adventurous and loyal young cub. Is that right?" Questioned the Kha'Pantera. "I... suppose," So'Kothre stated, a nervous tone in his voice as he slightly glanced down towards his legging pocket. "Hm. That is a highly valued gem, you know. Lapis Lazuli it is called," the Kha'Pantera blankly stated. "Wh-... wa-, how did you know?" So'Kothre eyes widened, appearing frightened. The Kha'Pantera ignored his question, continuing on as he discussed his past, and explained the history and significance of the Lapis Lazuli. So'Kothre's life completely altered as he walked the shoreline with the, what seemed to be, omniscient Kha'Pantera. "Child... forever keep that gem with you until you confront the Divines... for it is truly apart of your being..." The Kha'Pantera seemed to nearly whisper. So'Kothre swiftly retrieved the Lapis Lazuli from his pocket, then holding in it his palm as he observed it. "It is a part of me? I don't understand," So'Kothre lifted his head, breaking his gaze from the Lapis Lazuli as the Kha'Pantera suddenly vanished. The moon slowly began to rise. So'Kothre, confused, glanced down at the gem once more as it shimmered under the moon's dim glow revealing Metztli deep within its core. From then on, So'Kothre pursued a new life; following his creators. So'Kothre grew older, becoming a rather religious Kharajyr, as well as his father and mother. He swore to serve, and to die for his beloved Metztli and Tlatlanni. Character's ambitions: So'Kothre has various ambitions. He seeks to discover the true meaning of his purpose as well as improve his skill at blade wielding, archery, and wrestling. In his near future, he also desires to become an archaeologist of sorts, uncovering his interests and what contains the untold secrets of the ancient world. _---Situational Rp Questions---_ 1. As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?: "Have mercy, my friend... for I am nearly famished. My muscles have weakened and I can no longer proceed to venture without-," the ape begs, interrupted by So'Kothre, "Enough," he roars, "I do not know what you are, but you have become a nuisance-" "No, I beg you! You do not understand..." "Of course I understand! But if you continue to beg I will refuse to share my food and water with you," So'Kothre warns, speaking with a loud tone. "Fine, then... I-... may I have a bit of whatever you mangy cat creature may have?" So'Kothre forcibly sends his hand towards the ape, tightly grasping his collar. "Never... will you repeat that again, you disgraceful ape," So'Kothre growls. "Oh- okay! J-j-just let me go!" So'Kothre tosses the ape forward as the it stumbles backward, then hastily sprinting in the opposite direction of So'Kothre, fading into the dense jungle. 2. As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak. "Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!" He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?: Spotting a dimly lit building, So'Kothre begins to approach then proceeds inside. "Oi'! Ye' wan' a bowl o' cream, kitt'eh?! Heh'heh'heh, yer' fur would make'ah ver'eh nice rug fer' me tavern, eh?!" The ape taunts, hysterically laughing behind his counter. So'Kothre, slowly turning his gaze toward the ape, begins approaching the counter. "'Ey, don't'chyuh get near me'h, ye' mangy furball, I don't want an'eh fur on me counter! Jus' st'eh near th' back o' the tavern so I don't 'ave to see yer' ugl'eh face." So'Kothre proceeds to sit in a wooden chair as it creaks, then slams his fist down onto the counter as two steins of ale spill, flooding the counter, then roars, "Fetch me that cream!" "'Hoh, all right, heh'he'ahahaha." The ape scurried towards a room opposite the counter, then rushed back to the counter, placing a bowl of a lumpy, yellowish substance. "Drink 'et up, kitt'eh!" The ape shouts. So'Kothre swiftly lifts the bowl, then chucks it towards the ape, making contact with the face as the substance contacts, covering his face in the disgusting ooze. "Do make sure to tell me how it tastes, stout one." So'Kothre snickers as he leaves the inn. "I swear to 'et, I'll skin ye' alive fer' this!" 3. One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response? "You are going to murder one of our own kind for a cake? Rather ridiculous. And you will face many consequences," So'Korthe says. "It will be well worth it, my friend... please, it will be very rewarding. And it isn't just 'a cake', it is massive!" "I'm not engaging into this ridiculousness... I only eat cake during festivals, it would not be moral to steal one." So'Kothre says, shaking his head. "Suit yourself, brother..." The two fellow Kharajyr proceed to attempt to murder their victim in a house adjacent to So'Kothre's, then retrieving the cake as they begin to knock on So'Kothre's door once more. Opening the door, So'Kothre winces, "You literally murdered one of our kind for... a cake..." "There they are! Those are the murderers," exclaims a Kharajyr woman to a guard, standing outside of her home. "You dishonorable pests!" The guard shouts, charging towards the two Kharajyr standing at So'Kothre's doorstep. They then sprint into the distance as their fur glimmers under the moons glow, highly noticable. They're then pursued by several other guards. "... Can't say I didn't warn them." Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred? "I, So'Kothre, swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law and swear to hold Metztli and as all of her actions as sacred."
