(note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): After Erat was born his mother hastily visited Elandriel and left him on a stranger's doorstep. Since no one knew who his real parents were the stranger's decided to adopt him as their own. Everyone who had seen Erat thought he was strange because his skin was not as pale as the other elf's and he had brown hair, though he had the stereotypical pointy ears and brilliant eyes. The family who had adopted Erat already had one child, a girl named Elizabeth. When Erat was 5, Elizabeth died of a rare disease. After she died, Erat had acquired a fear of disease. He often had nightmares about her as well. Erat grew up as a normal elven child. He loved learning about everything related to nature. But he always harbored an intense desire to find out who his real parents were and why they left him. If given the opportunity, he would do almost anything to get information about them. As he grew older he started to grow apart from his foster parents. He spent more time alone in the woods practicing his skill with a bow. Erat came to find that he loved solitude because of the peacefulness it offered him. During all the time he spent in the woods he taught himself how to survive in the wilderness, he also taught himself how to stay hidden using the shadows of the forest to his advantage. After years of exploring the woods around his home, Erat decided that he wanted to see what was outside of his comfort zone. The day he turned 20 he packed any essentials he had and set out to see what the world had in store for him. He traveled as far as he could, doing odd jobs and anything that would get him more Minas so he could travel even farther. While he traveled he found out that much of the world revolved around combat. He saved up any spare Minas he had and bought his first blade. After a long day of traveling he would set down his things, make a campfire, and practice his skills with a blade. One day, Erat decided he would come home. During his travels he had found out nothing about his parents and had started to become home sick. After 6 long years of travel, he was finally on his way home. Once he arrived at his old home he got a job as a farmer so he could help support his parents. During the time he was a farmer, he learned a lot about how to survive off of the land. Erat saved up all the Minas he could and finally had a sum he was pleased with. He had longed to live the life of adventure again and couldn't bare to live a farmer's life any longer. Though it was only 2 years after his initial pilgrimage, he could stay at his home no longer. He set out once again, hoping to find information about his parents, and further his knowledge of combat. This is where I will enter the server. What is your Character's ambitions?: My character's ambitions are to find out more about his parents and find out more about combat. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): My character's favorite tool is his bow. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? One of my character's most skilled talents is archery. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): http://postimage.org/image/mg8ug7rwx/ Other Information about your Character: Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? "Hey! Let him go! Are you really that miserable of a warrior that you must pick on someone his size?!" I slowly start to walk towards them "Face me, not him. I am a true warrior. If you are a warrior at all you shall accept this challenge" I draw my sword from my sheath. I notice that neither of them have scars, meaning they either have never been in major conflict, or they have not been touched in a fight. One of the soldiers replies "I'll take you on, you look like a weak little elf. You should be easy enough, maybe I'll sell you as a slave? Or maybe I'll just kill you for the satisfaction" He charges me with his blade above his head and I move my blade into position to block it. The fighting continues for what seems like hours, but is really minutes. We are equally matched but my stamina is better. Slowly he starts to tire and I gain the upper hand. I take the flat side of my blade and smack it across his sword arm as hard as I can. As I hit him I can feel the bone crush under the force of the impact. The warrior falls to the ground and screams "Agh! Curse you!" As he lies in agony his friend grabs him starts to drag him away. Once I can see they are gone I approach the halfling. "How did you manage to get into a situation like that?" he cowers as I approach him but he replies "I don't know, they just came up and started harassing me for my money. Thank you very much for putting them in their place, I'm forever in your debt" I start to walk away but say "Just stay out of trouble will you?" With that I continue with my travels. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Hail, stranger. You look like a man of power, is this true?" the man looks me over and says " Yes, I have a large variety of wares if you would like to see them". I respond "Well, while I need equipment and food for my travels I was hoping you would have something of more value to me. I am looking for information, when I was born my mother abandoned me and I was hoping if you knew anything about my mother's or father's whereabouts?". He replies "You look familiar but I don't know many of your kind. Maybe you would like to look at my large assortment of goods?" I respond "Sure, that would be fine". I look over his goods but find nothing of use to me "Well, I must be off. It was nice meeting you, good day". Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: "Hmmh" I say to myself quietly. I walk out of the hut and walk around it inspecting for traps or any signs of recent movement. After seeing nothing I slowly walk back into the hut. I look back into the chest and grab the golden sword, the iron would only weigh me down. As I'm stringing the sword to my pack I hear the slight jingle of armor banging together. I immediately bolt into the woods, fueled by fear. I jump into a trench and set a blanket over myself to hide but I soon fall asleep. *Yawn* I wake up and pull the blanket off of me. The sun is just rising. I leave everything except my bow and quiver in the trench. I slowly stalk around the hut and see no one in it or around it. I go back to the trench and grab my things. I return to the trail and continue my travels, hoping I can get a decent amount of Minas for the golden sword. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I respond in a raspy voice "Greetings, strangers. I've been l-lost in the wilderness and I was hoping you could s-spare me some food". They continue looking me over and I try to put on a nice face, but it is difficult because I am famished. A tall man with a beard and very broad set shoulders looks at me and says "We could spare you some food, but once you are well again you will have to repay your debt to us". I break out in a smile and say "Thank you for your generosity, you are a man of great integrity. I will repay you in anyway that I possibly can". You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: "I would be glad to help you, let me grab my gear". I walk to the inn where I have been residing in for the past few days. I go into my room and grab my pack, I pull out all of my armor and weapons. I don my hauberk and put my tunic over it. I grab my finest blade and attach my sheath to my belt. When I get to the spot where the guard have gathered the Captain of the guard is giving orders. I sit and listen as he informs us of our tasks. He yells out so all of us can hear "If these bandits stand against us we will slay them without mercy, if they run chase them down. I wish to be rid of this problem today. They have been harassing the towns folk and hurting our livestock. Be vigilant, and remember, there will be a reward for those of you that survive" with that we gather and the Captain takes his spot at the front. He orders us to march and we follow. We travel about 200 yards from the town into the forest. The Captain orders us to stop. It is completely silent and the forest is dense so we sit in the dark. I hear the *woosh* of air next to my head and an arrow strikes the man next to me in the neck. The poor man's blood spatters my face and our group breaks into panic. 3 or 4 men run in terror back to the town but the rest of us remain. The bandits charge out of the forest attacking us on all sides, trapping us with no way out. We fight without fear and slay all of the bandits, I killed 4 bandits on my own. We march back to the town, exhausted and covered in the blood of our friends and foes. Once we get out the Captain commends us for our great job and starts handing out our rewards. I take my newly filled coin purse and return to the inn where I reside. I lay down in my bed happy because I have some new spending money, and I got a chance to practice my skills with my blade.
