InterstellarMage 0 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name:fireboy436 How old are you?:13, I will be 14 in november. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: I live in the western seaboard, in the United States. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I have been speaking english my whole life and am pretty fluent, as for grammar, I fix my errors in typing, but when I am mad I overlook the errors Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a fan of computers. I am driven to do any project, whether it’s at the last second or 5 days in advance. I am also great at roleplay, I could roleplay in almost any situation, and almost and sentient being, hek I could try my best to be something NON-sentient. How much time could you be on the server weekly?:I could be on every day, as for time, I would be on at about the late afternoon. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is putting your mind in an imaginary body you have created, making you act, feel, and talk, even walk or do some minor habits that your character does. You can even kill off your character, you can’t legally kill off yourself in real-life so I think it is a free opportunity to do stuff you couldn’t do in the real world. You can even be something OTHER than a human, there are many “races” in games and RPs, you could be a skeleton, an orc barbarian, or some elf who wants to protect the forests What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have had rich RP and RPG experience and several games that require RP I have done, I know you aren’t looking RPG experience, but I have played a lot, each one I roleplayed often. Most of the time I RP as an orc, if that is not available, I would choose a dwarf. I am glad to know it has RP fighting system is “*attempts to stab” because that is the RP fighting system I grew up with. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: It is where a you find out about in-game knowledge through OOC means, such as if a friend tells you the coordinates to the enemy’s secret base, you can’t just go there and say “I found it on accident”. That would be an example of meta-gaming, another example is if you learn a secret way into the capital city of Oren by OOC means. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-Gaming is a Despicable form of roleplay, you put yourself over the other roleplayers, be it invincibility or instantly-killing a form of it is "Makes a magical barrier that nothing can penetrate" or "Chops head off". It makes it un-fair for the other players because they have no way to attack back, in my opinion, people who powergame do not have the grip on roleplay quite yet. There are also some mild forms, such as dodging on every strike, many times I have encountered this, an extreme example would be “Flips across the arena very easily”. Most of my time in RPs, powergamers have been BANNED, I’m assuming it is the same for here. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to be a good server for roleplaying and fighting and a friendly environment. I also expect the admins to be fair and no griefing or rudeness. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on a survival server called "Elutheria" I left it because it did not have any roleplay. I was also on a faction server, I left that because it was full of idiots. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read and agree by all the rules. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise to abide and follow the rules and laws. How did you hear about us?: I heard about you while I was searching for a lord of the rings-themed server on YouTube. Have you previously made an Application? I have made a previous one, that was denied, but I am unsure how to create a link. In-Character: Character Name: Morkarth What Race are you?: Orc What Sub-Race are you? (Note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Nomad Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Morkarth was a strong, male orc child in that was well treated (all orc children are). His mother was a farmer, and his father was a warrior. He has gotten his taste for battle from his father, and his gentleness to his own kind from his mother. The elders saw him as a strong, capable warrior. Now, 40 years later. He has become a strong, fit orc. He is at least 8 ft. tall. Morkarth have a large appetite but is surprisingly fit. He weighs at least 350 pounds, he has a 6-pack but rarely shows it, he prefers to go into battle with a battle axe and some form of armor. I think archery and rogue tactics are cowardice. I strongly agree with the saying "Fight first and ask questions later." I am no coward but also no fool. I will fight nearly any race. However, I will not fight more than 2 enemies alone. When I fight I usually fight with at least 1 person by my side, if that is not available, I would start with a small group then advance on to the rest. He is also, one of the few orcs that are bald. All-in-all, he is a great frontline battler. What is your Character's ambitions?: Morkarth wishes to join the War-Uzg and fight alongside fellow orcs against the enemies that lie beyond the desert What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc.): I prefer an axe but I will not hesitate if I have to fistfight. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Number of downloads: 0 Other Information about your Character: Hates the idea of sailing, gets sea sick often. Morkarth also knows a scrap of common as well as his orcish tongue. I also think attacking someone when the defender does not have a weapon is complete cowardice Open Response Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I hate unhonorable killing so I charge in, attempting to kill the bandits, 1 of them sees my coming then alerts them, they draw out their weapons, I charge in, hoping to break their ranks. Once I charge in, their get split up, I attempt to lob at one, but the defender blocks. Then I kick the other one, damaging him, then I attempt to finish him off, but the other one attempts to save his friend and tries to deflect it, but this time I break his deflect, stammering him, the other one regains his sense and charges in, I get a stab in the side, I kneel to the ground in my pain, they think I am dead, but I attemept to get up, and while they’re surprised I’m still alive, I try to chop one, it makes a deadly gash on his arm. I leap at the other one and try to slices him, however, that stab made me unfocused and instead of chopping off his head, I miss and make a mean-looking gash on his shoulder, both of them run into the forests and I do a war chant, then continue my travels, forgetting about the hobbit. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?. I turn to walk away, but some gleaming spiked gloves catch my attention. The owner says, “Sorry, but those are being held for someone else” I say, “How much is he paying?”. The shop owner would say “’bout… 50 minas, they’re just gloves” I put down a stack of 70 minas on the table, and I say “How about now?” The Shopkeeper reluctantly agrees and hands them to me and I try them on, un-suprisingly, they’re a little small, since they’re made my humans, I say “These’ll do” Then walk off. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I check to see if any race in particular made it, if it is an orcish, hut, I wouldn’t dare steal, if it is some other race’s hut, I would see if its truly abandoned, if it is, I take the items with me and I see if there is anything else hidden, seeing another golden ingot, I take that and leave the tent, if guards pester me, I would play dumb. If it is not really abandoned, I would leave the tent. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I say in my remains of common tongue, “Greetings… please… I am starving” The man takes pity on me and makes me some chicken, I eat it, I thank him, and begin to pay him, he take the money, then I ask, “Why are you on the side of the road?” The man says, “Why because we are heading to krugmar, there are many valuebles we could trade.” I say, “ Funny, I am also on my way to join the War-Uzg, may I accompany you, I could protect you and your fellows from bandits.” The Man says, “Of course!” and I complete my travel to Krukmar and say my goodbyes. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I do not wish to help with human affairs, then I get shot in the arm by a bandit, then I say, “Scratch what I said earlier, lets DO this!” Me and the guards charge into the bandit stronghold, I try to chop one, but he evades, I but one in the face with the end of my battle-axe then chop one on the stomach, I start slashing some more bandits and soon, I get several slices, as well, I leave bodies as I advance in their ranks, after many cuts and bruises, the battle is one, I now realize the thrill of an actual battle, the guard pays me and I am back on my travels.
