Sorsby 123 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Ruins of past Halflings discovered in Branborough! It's an exciting day for the Halfling history books, the ruins of a past burrow were uncovered today by Petyr, who would have known that such a gem lay only a few feet away from the inn! We hope to uncover details of society back in the times of the ruins among other things, there is even talk of converting the hollow burrow into a library of Halfling history! Very exciting I'm sure you'll agree! If your wandering the town feel free to take a look, but be careful, the place is mighty unstable, and our supports can only hold up for so long. During me down time I managed to paint some scenes from the excavation, pop by me burrow to take a look, I'm looking to trade some as well, be sure to get in touch if yer interested. - Tibb of The Fairfield family. *Inside Tibb's burrow you find a collection of excavation site paintings, you browse through, admiring his work.*
Petyr 485 Share Posted April 8, 2012 An incredible dig, indeed! After studying the floor patterns and the walls, I've concluded that these ruins must have been used by ancient halflings or something of the like. Based off o'the amount o'crumbling, these ruins are at least a quarter-eon old. Aside from the platform in the middle, there are no surviving clues as to its purpose. For now, we shall leave it be as a memorial to our ancestors, and in the future we may attempt a restoration job to convert it into something more usable. It's rather incredible that I settled the down upon our own ancestral home, eh? The world works in mysterious ways, indeed. OOC: Here are some more screenshots from Petyr's point of view.
