House Cyrielle

History of the Cyrielle Family

The House Cyrielle is a noble house whose members descend from a Tarus line. Before the destruction of Aegis, a member of the house Tarus sought to usurp power from the head of the house, and was discovered to be doing so. Banished, he headed North, seeking refuge from the prying eyes of the other houses, and the conviction that he felt when around his own home. Scared, and fleeing North, he thought of the rumours of Undead presence in the North. Being mischievous, he thought to go and consort with the Undead. Knowing he would either fit in and become accepted and possibly powerful enough to destroy the wrongful leader of the house, of he would be destroyed, leaving this world a traitor and a failed warrior.

During his travel, while staying in Winterfell, he met a fair lady. She was walking through the streets. He saw her and their eyes met. He was a simple traveller, in torn clothing, patchy beard, and looked a mess. What she saw in him, was never found, but she lifted him higher than he thought he could. After they met, he introduced himself as Svendil Cyrielle, taking to the maiden name of his mother’s dying house. He said he was but a traveller from the kingdom of Oren. She introduced herself as Alesa, and invited Sven to the local tavern. For many a round of drinks they talked, surprising each other more every story they told. Eventually, either from drunkenness or stupidity, Sven revealed he was headed North to find the Undead. Disgusted at such a goal, Alesa was taken aback, but after much explaining, he explained what he had done, and how he wished to complete it or die, but after meeting Alesa, he realized that power was not important, but living for something.

After many more days spending time together, Sven decided he would stay here with her. He had everything he needed, and after pestering from Alesa, and strings being pulled, he would gain a governmental job. After 3 years, Sven proposed. Alesa, taken back by such a request, was speechless, but after a short period of time, accepted. And so started the Cyrielle bloodline.

Many winters passed, and Alesa bore two children, a daughter with blonde hair and green eyes, the first of Cyrielle’s to be born in Winterfell, and a son, also of blonde hair, though he had blue eyes, the first of the Cyrielle bloodline to be born with such colouring. They named her Ellesia, and she grew to be a fine woman, marrying a handsome lad by the name of Brolyn Arusa, at the age of 22. Living in Winterfell, close to family, life was good for their small household. Ellesia was declared pregnant, and after nine months, bore a child by the name of Markus Cyrielle. He showcased the prized blonde and blue eyes that was now said to be a “Cyrielle combination” by the townsfolk. Later that year, Alesa died of a cancerous cell, undiagnosed by the local doctor. She passed away, leaving Sven alone with his descendants. 2 months later, Sven died from old age, simply losing the will to go on, saying it reminded him of a time long past...

The descendants of the Cyrielle lived in Winterfell for many a happy year, until the looming threat of Undead attack was realized, but not before it was too late. The Undead attacked Winterfell, sweeping through like a dust storm, leaving dead in the streets, and fire burning. No one was safe, no basement was safe, no attic high enough. 1340 was the death of Wintefell, and in that event, many lives were lost, including those of Ellesia Cyrielle, Brolyn Arusa, Daine Cyrielle and Ventrïe Revere. Markus and Elianne Cyrielle escaped with their lives, seeking refuge in Oren and finding peace within its walls. They watched as the messengers poured through the gates each day, each conveying message of death and destruction in the North. The Undead were on their way to Oren. It was not long after things had settled, that Elianne was found to be pregnant. She bore two children, both of the noble blue eyes tradition of the Cyrielle. She named her daughter Renardia, and her son Velerio. Time passed, and the family grew closer together, fearing the imminent Undead invasion. Elianne and Markus’ children both married, and found their own ways, separate of Elianne and Markus. The Cyrielle line continued with Velerio, and his wife, Olivia, until the Undead struck Oren, and forced all the inhabitant to flee, and eventually make their way to the new land Asulon. Scared but confident Velerio and Olivia fled to the docks and eventually made their way to Asulon. During the sailing, Olivia bore a son, Jaysen, whom grew up at sea, and when they landed, was five years old. He continued to grow, and the family settled in Renatus, with Jaysen eventually marrying Arianne Ricehl.

The Cyrielle line now continues with Arianne and Jaysen.

Cyrielle Traits:

All Cyrielle nowadays are born with blue eyes, and blonde is fairly common, but not always found. We have developed blue eyes, because of the snow in the North during our ancestors time, and we may lose this trait if we remain in our current state.

Cyrielle Hierlooms:

We currently possess Dawnbringer, named so because our father, Svendil, used this blade when he met Alesa, and brought him a new Dawn. It has slain Undead, and it protected many a Cyrielle, but nowadays, it has become more of a ceremonial sword, to be passed from father to son, and son to child. It now resides with Jaysen Cyrielle, whom keeps it safe at all times.

We also possess the Tiara of Alesa, which was the tiara she wore on her wedding day, passed from mother to daughter each generation. The circlet was lost for many a year, but was recently recovered and bequeathed to Arianne by her dear mother. She wore it on her wedding day, but refrains from wearing it in normal use for fear of it being lost once more.

I state once more that this house is under heavy construction.
