Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:I know the English language well and have a decent understanding of grammar. I am not the best at spelling and I tend to write run on sentences (in essays).

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:I'm a normal kid who really enjoys Minecraft. I'm mature and do activity outside of Minecraft. I am a decently bright kid (straight A's for my entire life)and I really want to learn different programming languages.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:My time on the server may vary. During the week homework limits me I might be able to get on for 1 hour on Mon-Thur and more time on the weekends. Depending on how much I like the server I may be on for more or less time.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:Role-Playing is like acting, you play a role in the community to benefit it, not just yourself. RPing will limit your knowledge to what your character knows and not what you do. When RPing you need to act how you believe your character would act, not how you would.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:I've played on two other RP servers, but they were too small so there was not enough RP.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:Metagaming is when you use something from the real world to affect your decisions in-game. An example is if you get into a fight with a friend outside of Minecraft and then you blow his house up using TNT.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:Powergaming is trying to make your character the best they can be. This means your character would be stacked or overpowered, having too many upsides and little to no weaknesses.

What do you expect this server will be like?:I expect this server to be a fun, enjoyable experience where I can role-play while playing Minecraft. I'm expecting many players, all the time, making it more interesting to play. I'm not sure about the lag, but I expect it to be minimal.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:I've played on serveral servers before two being roleplaying servers, but they were smaller and no one was even close to me so no role playing caused me to leave. The main server I play(ed) on is Chaotic Uniformity, I occasionally take breaks and they can range from a couple months to a year. It was hardcore pvp so I'm looking for some pvp, but not overkill.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:Yes I've read all the rules, I wouldn't want to use all this time on an app if I didn't.

How did you hear about us?:I've heard about you from Minestatus and the Minecraft Forums (No player reference).

Character Name:Elvaldur (Last name has been forgotten after his journey)

What Race are you?:Elf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):Elvaldur is a high elf, he possess high magical ability and is very wise. Other traits can be found the deeper you look.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):(If Volutional is checking this, this has not changed)Elvaldur is young for an elf at 21 years old, he has dark blue eyes and a larger build for an elf. He wears green, white, and brown robes. Like all elfs he has pointed ears. His hair is darker brown, this is because after using a form of dark magic it affected his body. When Elvaldur was born both of his parents had passed away. Due to this Elvaldur was raised by the elders in his small village. When Elvaldur was young he was taught how to speak many tongues, even though his pronunciation and fluency was not superior,but he was quick to learn. Once Elvaldur became 10 years of age he was sent to school. At school he was an outcast; all the other students knew each other and many recognized Elvaldur and made fun of him because he lived with the elders. This angered Elvardur and lead to Elvardur to have a private tutor. The elders found the person best fitted to become Elvaldur tutor in a very noble village not far away, who was probably the wisest elves in the entire world. Elvaldur had many tutoring sessions and had lots of spare time when not in class. He took advantage of this time by practicing different combat skills including archery. Even though he was skilled with a bow Elvaldur wanted more. One day when he was exploring the elders private library he found a book about magic, Elvaldur was intrigued. After months of training with magic he grew very powerful, but only with the protection spells that he had found in the books. The temptation to use magic for combat became too strong for Elvaldur to resist, and he ventured away from the village to learn more. Elvaldur went to the nearby village from which his tutor came from and found a book there that interested him it was labeled "Healing:Reverse the Spell". This book allowed Elvaldur to learn the basics on how to heal himself and other, but also how to use healing magic to weaken or even kill others. Elvaldur spent years trying to master the new spells he learned and eventually succeeded. Elvaldur had a desire to return back to his home village, so after 10 years of journeying he returned. When he arrived back home he saw what happened over the 10 years he was away. All the trees were either burnt or dead, drained of all life. After this sight Elvaldur promised never to use his magic to harm anyone or anything again. So again Elvaldur picked up his bow and arrow and practiced in the remains of the archery range. Elvaldur wanted a new beginning. He began to train for his journey improving his physical and mental strength; he studied hard and did all the things he could to get in to better shape. After a year Elvaldur was reshaped, with new knowledge and strength. He had studied all the books his village had to offer and improved his fluency and pronunciation of many languages. After preparing himself physically he no longer looked like the typical elf, he had gain more strength than most other elf's dreamed of acquiring and became so precise with a bow not one bird remains in his old village. After a brief restoration Elvaldur was able to bring back the village's farm and gathered enough bread to last him for an extremely long journey. Now Elvaldur arrived in a far away land called Asulon..........

For his personality you can tell it developed over his life and he became a skillful and polite elf.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Elvaldur was walking by the Cloud Temple when he caught a glimpse of a little halfling being roughed up by to armed warriors. Elvaldur quickly drew his bow from his back and pulled a poison arrow from his quiver. Drawing the bow string back and making sure he was the right angle and power to deliver a fatal shot to the attacker. Suddenly one stumbles giving Elvaldur the split second to release the arrow and kill one of the warriors. Realizing now that he got the other warriors attention he throws his bow over his back and draws his sword out to begin a melee fight with the last warrior. Elvaldur took the first move and was able to wound the warriors arm, reducing the strength of his attacks. After several minutes Elvaldur is able to defeat the warrior. He quickly runs to aid the halfling and return the money he picked off the dead warriors. Using healing magic he fixes all the poor halfling's cuts and bruises. Elvaldur then gives the halfling some weapons and left over armor so he can defend himself if more warriors come back.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Elvaldur greets the man and chats a little while he checks his supplies. Elvaldur sees that he's down to 23 arrows and asks politely for more. The man goes into the back shop and comes back with some. Elvaldur ponders about the price. Using a combination of coins and goods he gives the man equivalent to what arrows are worth. After he asks where the nearest pub is and eats before continuing on his journey.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: First, Elvaldur asses the area to make sure there are no monsters lurking nearby or that there is no one who is occupying the hut. After he opens the chest, he checks out what condition the sword is in to see if it's any use to him. Quickly he tosses the iron bars in his backpack and puts the sword in it's holster at his waist. He leaves the houses just like he found it and continues on.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Elvaldur greets the people back with whatever energy he had left. He pleads the people to let him stay for the night so that he can eat and get a good nights rest, luckily they agree. One of the residents of the town offer him to stay with him and Elvaldur takes up the offer and thanks the kind person. As soon as he gets settled in he asks for food and tells them it won't be long before he dies of hunger. Quickly the people bring him bread, melons, and apples to curb his appetite before they bring out the meat. Elvaldur is surprised when they bring out a feast. They have at least 10 of each pork, fish, and pork chop, and don't bother to wait till he finishes to bring out the cake. ELvaldur makes sure to tip the kind folks generously before heading to bed. The next morning the trading camp had made him a small pack with supplies for his journey. After receiving directions and again thanking the people he continues to travel to his destination.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Hearing that he can help in some way, Elvaldur makes haste to reach the coordinator and volunteer. Once reaching him he gets his outpost and heads out. Like he saved the halfling he took out his bow and began to snipe down the bandits one by one. Soon he has eliminated them all. Elvaldur checks all the posts to make sure all the bandits are gone, shooting any left over. Once he has seen all the bandits are dealt with he heads back to the coordinator. He informs him that all the bandits are eliminated and tells him about any casualties that occurred. He doesn't accept the reward since he doesn't need it.

Your definition of roleplaying is a bit lopsided and unclear, I do like how you mention that

roleplaying is for the benefit of all, and not just yourself, though.

Your defintion of metagaming is underdeveloped the example you gave is only one side of it.

Your definition of powergaming, in the context of this server, is wrong. You are talking more about God-Modding than anything else. A quick forum search should clear up any confusion.

Your biography is a wall of text, and very hard to read; please go back and break it up into paragraphs.

Magic isn't something you can just inheriently know; it something you must learn through vigorous roleplay. Whether that be in game, or through your biography. You need to flesh this out a lot more.

Your open response question are decent, but could use a little more. I have a vague idea of the character you are trying to present, but as of now it is a little unclear.

Your application has several minor grammatical mistakes here and there, nothing all too major, but it'd be nice to see them fixed.
