Maximas1211 34 Share Posted April 25, 2012 Raven entered the battle-hardened city of Salvus, the once crisped, lush grass, now soaked with the blood of it enemy's. Shards of silvery metals rested on the ground, while pillaging, crisped fires continued there furious spread across the city. The heart stopping black mist's of death rained around the city, Raven waited breathlessly for the telltale rustle of screams, pleas or even a greeting but none were heard, The aroma of burnt, fouled corpses linger around the air while a quiet breaths blew lock of his hair past his ears, while endless thoughts of life and beauty trailed and lingered in his mind. He walked slowly towards palace, a once prized and grant momentum now a pile of rubble, completely in disrepair. As he headed to the place, he came across a blooming rose living, one that has survived countless battles and pillaging. A final symbol of hope, for this was not merely a rose but the soul of Salvus and it people. Raven was silenced for a moment, reminded once more of Salvus and his friends. He sighed as he continued heading to the palace. His eyes trailed around the distant land, and once magnificent structures. Seeing his home torn apart along with his friend destroyed him, and upon arriving at the place, the final resting spot for his great and loyal Queen and Guard, Queen Dawn and Royal Guard Edward. Silent tears leaked from his eyes, strolling down his aged cheeks. Hitting the ground while remnants were left behind no longer tears of joy but of agony. He kneel for moment of pray and forgiveness. His palm opened slowly as his finger extended to touch the soiled ash. My lady, My Queen, you are a rose, not merely a rose but the heart of Salvus. Once loyal followers have perished at your side. Many witted you as a witch, a tyrant. Those are lies, lies for power. Faithful men and women followed you. Kal, Botar, Edward... But not I, I wasn't there to defend you and nor was I to defend Salvus but I abandoned Salvus years before Salvus was siege. I only wish to seek your forgiveness and your followers and to ease your soul, along with the others. I, Maximas shall serve you in the coming life. After moment of pray he stood up, clasping his shoulder tightly he said: May Aeriel watch over you and guide your soul.. And know I will join you soon. Maximas looked aside, spotting a insecure torch, walking to it, he gripped it tightly. Bringing the torch to chest-height, It lit the forgotten path, a path of love and passion, a path lead by Dawn by now he traveled alone no one to guide nor protect him. He sighed heavily, walking away from distant and lifeless land, each step he took his torch left remnants of sparks and cracked, crisp wood along the ground. A path that was once forgotten..
