Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I am fairly new to minecraft, although I have learned things fast. I’m more of an academic person than a person that does a lot of sport. I also love RPG as it gives you an opportunity to let your imagination run wild.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

I’m not sure, it would vary between weeks because I have school, so I would say an average of 15 hours, until my schedule frees up a bit.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying is playing as another person that is not yourself, such as being in a play. It allows you to be imaginative with what you say and do while in character, and basically have fun with the abilities and skills of that person.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I haven’t had much experience in roleplaying in minecraft, besides a server called Dalasia. I have had experience in playing roles in other games such as skyrim and other RPG’s.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta- gaming is an out of character action made by the person’s character which makes use of knowledge that the character is not meant to be aware of. It is normally not taken well, as the players character does not act in a way that reflects the characters back story and experiences.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power gaming is a style of interacting with games with the aim of maximizing progress towards a specific goal, to the exclusion of other considerations such as storytelling, atmosphere and camaraderie. Due to its focus on the letter of the rules over the spirit of the rules, it is often seen as unsporting, un-fun, or unsociable.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I believe that LOTC will be a fun RPG server that I will be able to fully enjoy for a long time

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Dalasia server – I haven’t stopped playing on it as of yet, as I find is fun. DeServer Factions and PvP- I haven’t left it either, as I am an admin on the server and am usually required to help out

Yes, I have read the laws of the land and kingdoms. I understand them completely

Character Name: Julian Ariens

What Race are you?: Human

What Sub-Race are you? (Note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): N/A

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Julian is at present 23 years old, he is obsessed with the ideas of Aengul and Daemon races of old times, and has driven himself insane trying to find these creatures, he dresses in the clothing of a court jester, believing it will lead the servants of god to notice him and show themselves. He remains relatively sane when working or socializing with the other people of asulon, and goes mad when seeing one of the objects that the old civilizations are believed to manifest as. Besides the insanity, he is a calm and loyal person, a skilled thief if he is needed to be, and also a skilled warrior with a bow or dagger of some sort.

He appears as having a white face and red eyes, due to his outfit which is green and black, with purple add ons, he looks like he should be at a town celebration and is also an average height. Julian keeps a weapon with him at all times, often hidden away within his clothing, so as to not be noticed or make people scared.

Julian’s life began in a small cave in asulon’s wilds where he was abandoned; he was found and raised by a travelling merchant, who taught him to steal items from passing caravans. In his teens Julian bid goodbye to his ‘father’ and left in search of his own home and education. He moved to a small town, known as Shadowvale, there he learnt of the Aengul and daemon, as told by an outcast he met in the town. He was instantly fascinated by the subject of these creatures, and then decided he would learn more, and search for one. A few years later he went mad with the concept, wore a jester’s outfit and was claimed a lunatic by most citizens. He was a good entertainer and played with local children, often told to stay away by their parents. He had a loving soul and was a loyal figure, but was shunned for his ambitions. So, by the time of his 22nd birthday, celebrated in Shadowvale tavern, he decided to give in to the search of the Servants of god, and made it his first priority, besides living of course as he would still continue to be a well-known citizen of the village, mostly not for the right reasons. So he then put more time into his work, and made income from what he could find in the wilds. And that is where his story stops for the moment, until time passes.

What are your Character’s ambitions?:

To search for the ancient Aengul and Daemon races, and to be blessed by these creatures

what is your character’s favorite tool? (Sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc.):

Sword/dagger or a bow as he believes that one can never know what to expect.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

He is a skilled theif, although not putting it to use much, as he has now left the trading caravans. He is also a good marksman, with throwing weapons and bows and he is also swift and agile.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small Halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Julian sees that the Halfling is helpless and innocent of any crimes. So he rushes to help the small person, asking the armed men what reason they have to do this to the Halfling. If they were to respond aggressively he would cut the warriors down, or do his best to, he would then return the stolen goods to the Halfling. If they were to respond with an honorable answer, he would give them some of his own money, that he earns from doing different jobs around the area and leave them to stop bothering the small Halfling.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well-dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Julian would ask if the merchant has anything that would be of use to him, he would then leave and, due to bad habits, attempt to take the wanted item from the stall without being noticed. If caught he would pay for the item, and apologize to the merchant for trying to obtain his goods in a shadowy way. Julian then leaves a few extra coins on the stall to apologize in more depth.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Julian would look to see if there was anything else in the cottage, to show that someone lived there, if not, he would take the iron bars and sword for himself. He would hope to somehow use them in his search for the daemons and Aengul. He then goes out to gather some wood for a crafting table, as to build something with the iron.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, and how do you respond?

I ask them if they have any spare supplies, and if I could stay there for the night. I had been travelling in search of ancient races, and had lost my way, hoping that they didn’t think I was a lunatic for being out here for that reason, I said I would pay them for their wares, and the night with them. I had picked up a flint from a cave that I was exploring, and used it to make a flint and steel from some iron I had in my pocket, I positioned myself just outside the camp, and later got some food and supplies from the merchants, in the morning I thanked them, and used their maps to find my way back to Shadowvale

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guards have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I applied for the job, asking the guards if I could have a party to cover me while I was sneaking to the rear of the bandits defenses, being able to surprise the bandits and draw attention away from the town. I use a small dagger in my sleeve to silently take down a man on guard, and decide to strike in the midst of the camp, taking weapons from their armory while on my way the center of the camp.
