(note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):none, she is a full blood Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Sáralenn Alondessene was a well-known figure of beauty all of her youth, tall and slender, with long white-blonde hair, and electric blue eyes. She has a kind heart, and is very adventurous, Although, being brought up by over-protective parents, she has a rebellious streak and is not always honest. Her father is an Elvin Noble, so her family is very well known, wealthy, and high in society. As a young girl, Sáralenn watched the other girls and boys play in the forest and climbing trees in envy. Her mother and father were very posh as well as over-protective, so they would never dream of their daughter playing with dirty commoners. Her parents tried to find other daughters of nobility for Sáralenn to befriend, but she found them too stuck up and self-obsessed, and did not get along with them. She longed to be allowed to meet the other children of the town. Sáralenn was still a young child when she started to become rebellious. Often, when she was supposed to be sewing or painting in her room, she climbed out of her bedroom window and ran along the treetops, to explore the town from a birds-eye view. After doing this a lot, Sáralenn became very acrobatic and agile. Sometimes she tried to befriend other children, but they all acted strange when she was around, and treated her like she was much more important than they, which annoyed her. When Sáralenn noticed the other children learning to fight, she immediately wanted to join them. She asked her parents about learning to defend herself, but her father Tharmaethor despised weapons and war, and forbid Sáralenn from learning to fight. Furious, she secretly paid a local farmer named Authion Helyanwë, who was well renowned for his skills with the bow and arrow, to take her on as an apprentice. When she began her training, Sáralenn was only 12 years of age. On the day of her 5th lesson, she was shooting at her target out the back of Authion’s house, when she noticed movement out of the corner of her eye. She whipped her bow around to the movement and prepared to fire. Suddenly she realised it was a boy, a little older than her, poking his head above the fence. “Father, what are you… oh” the boy started, seeing Sáralenn. Authion introduced his son Faeron to Sáralenn, and assured her that he would tell no one of her lessons. Faeron was not like the other boys and girls; he never treated Sáralenn like she was more important, or acted strange. Over the years, He and Sáralenn became good friends. Often he trained with her, and sometimes taught her a little, when Authion was unavailable. Sáralenn felt a little guilty about not telling her parents of her friend, or her training, but she tried not to think about it. As soon as Sáralenn turned 15, she was often not able to see Faeron and Authion as much as usual, as her parents took her travelling to meet many nobles and wealthy young men often, hoping that she would find a husband. Even while she was away, she still practiced secretly with a bow that Faeron had given her for her birthday. Sáralenn became very well known, and since she was very beautiful, many wealthy men desired her hand. She tried her best to find faults in every man that asked after her, to use to persuade her parents that none of them were suitable. She knew that unless she wanted to fail her parents, she must marry by the time she was 21, but marriage was not at all in her interests at such a young age. When Sáralenn summed up the courage ask Faeron to visit her so he could meet her parents, Faelda and Tharmaethor did not let him stay long, and it was clear that they disapproved of him. They had their sights set on a rich nobleman for any male friend of their daughter, not a mere farmer’s son. Sáralenn began to meet more with Faeron as she grew up, and by the time she was 19, it was clear that the two had fallen in love. Faeron had even begun to prepare to propose to Sáralenn, when the unthinkable happened. Now, Authion owned a very valuable plot of land, valuable because there were rumours of very precious ore below the surface, and a mining industry wanted the land. The leader of the industry, Laothor, offered Authion a lot of money for the land, but he refused and told him it was not for sale. Laothor, determined and greedy, was willing to do anything to get the land, but the farm had been in Authion’s family for generations, and would never be for sale. Eventually Laothor got so desperate that he decided to take the land by force. He ordered an assassin to kill both Authion and his son, so that he could claim it after the death of the two. Luckily Faeron learned of this plot just in time, and he and his father, in a few hours during the night, packed up and left their home. Faeron left only a small note for Sáralenn, explaining that he had to leave urgently, and he could not say where he was going, for fear that the assassin will come after them. He wrote that he loved her and when he was able, would come back for her. Aggrieved by the news that her love had left, Sáralenn spent many days weeping in her bedroom. She could tell that her parents were glad of Faeron’s leaving, and they told her that she shouldn’t think of it, and should get on with her life. Finally Sáralenn could stand it no longer. She packed her things and escaped during the night. She changed her name to Alasseah Sáralondë, for fear that she would be recognized as Sáralenn, and wore a disguise with light armour. She knew that it was a dark world, and anything might happen. Alasseah searched for weeks for any evidence or information about where Faeron had gone, but in vain, for she found precious little. Eventually she took a ship across to ocean, in hopes to go to Cloud Temple, and seek the monks for advice. Alasseah vowed that she would find Faeron, one day, even if it took her a hundred years. Twilight Druid 188 Share Posted May 2, 2012 Denied There are a few things that need to be addressed. Firstly your definitions of Meta and Power gaming could use a little more depth. Use examples if you need to. Now to your Character, while you have a rather touching a nicely written bio it doesn't quite fit in with elven culture. Actually I could work with High Elf culture with a little revision but on a whole elven culture doesn't have a status distinction between nobles and the 'peasants'. Your Open Response Questions are too short. They are there to show us how your character would think, react and feel in these situations. Take your time in creating an in depth scenario showing us your skill as a roleplayer.
