Kirrekith 80 Share Posted May 13, 2012 Out-Of-Character Main Minecraft Account Name: Chafferccino Alternate Minecraft Account Name: Kirrekith In your own words, define what the act of Roleplaying is: Roleplaying is where you assume a Role of something else; such as me playing the role of an Elf in an online game and sticking to that characters abilities and beliefs. In your own Words, define what the act of Metagaming is: Metagaming is the use of OOC to affect IC; Such as a person sending a message to someone because they are being robbed or being captive and sending a message or being stuck underground and sending a message as the sending of these messages would be impossible due to the scenarios. In your own Words, define what the act of Powergaming is: Powergaming is where a player overpowers themselves in a circumstance where they could not; Such as a farmer who has only farmed his whole life casting a fire nova spell. In-Character: Character Name: Kraan What Race are you?: Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Kraan came across from Aegis during the time in which all the races left. After arriving in Asulon, the confusion and panic of people trying to survive in the new lands scared Kraan, people were becoming bold and unpredictable. Taking what meagre supplies he had he left the mainland’s moving deep into the wilderness far away from the rest of the ‘civilised’ societies. The land in the wilderness was beautiful and monstrous, during the day he witnessed the sunrise over peeks of stone, or the snow gleaming in the morning sun. During the night he watched as creatures of the night re-emerged in might. Living out in the wilderness he learned to survive from the use of tactics and weaponry, however the greater time he spent out there, the less and less he began to remember of civilisation. Over the years he forgot how to speak common tongue, his lack of need to speak driving him into further isolation. Time grew harder as winters and summers past, his clothes from Aegis no more than rags, changed and twisted to suit his need to hunt and survive. Years passed with no one ever meeting him, his isolation his solitude. However, paradise never lasts; soon people began to appear, coming into his land, his territory. He could handle a few of them, no threat now problem to him. But fate is a cruel mistress, more and more people began to appear, towns and villages springing up. The trees that once provided him cover for hunting now farmland for animals and plants. His streams and rivers for water and fish, now used for the grinding of wheat and the once great rivers now overfished. No longer was he safe. Hunting the farm animals of these lands was easy, they had become to accustom to the races, he would kill and drag away the bodies. The Humans put this down to wolves or monsters of the night. He would chuckle to himself, fools, to long had they grown accustom to simple thought and life. He lived off the villages for almost a year, and then the farmers sent hunters after him, tamed wolves couldn’t tell him apart from the rest of the animals and once again he was on the run from the races. This time he was not driven into the wilds, he was driven into lands that he had feared returning since his departure. Walking amongst the lands of the ‘Civilised’ nations once more. His clothes are ragged hides, the once vibrant robes from Aegis no more than rags, his skin grey is grimy grey and white; it is hard to tell if his skin is merely that colour or the lack of washing has led to this. His hair Dark red and now grows ragged out of his hood, his beard also ragged and untamed. Deep scars come down his left eye from where a monsters claw torn down his face. On his back he carries a quiver, the quiver is not fine and is made from the similar hides he wears, the arrows however are fine the flint and feathers have time spent sharpening and preparing them. His personality is unpredictable; he has lived so long in the wilderness you might as well compare him to a beast. He reacts out of instinct and not reason; perhaps if he spends time in society long enough people may be able to socialize him back into society, however they may lose a finger trying to. What is your Character's ambitions?: Kraan’s ambitions are very primitive because of his mind set; Survive is the only key thing in his mind, he would leave people simply if they no longer offer him something he needs, a sense of belonging is something that he hasn’t felt since Aegis and is unlikely to find it amongst society. Looking upon the two armed warriors he simply smiles thinking to himself; “They predators work together to take out there prey, what is truly different from the wilderness and in these ‘Civilisations?’” Moving around the Halfling be robbed he seems to smile to himself in the knowledge that they are no different to the animals they claim to be above. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? He seems to stare at the man for a few moments, had he understood what the man had just said he may have responded, looking at the items on the counter he assumes that he is a shopkeeper like that in Aegis and simply points at an object on the table. Once again it speaks to him in a mess of words. Picking up the object he takes out a dead chicken dropping its skinned body on the table exposing meet and fat of its body. Turning around the shopkeeper shouts a few mumbled words, smiles to himself leaving “He must have really liked the Chicken”. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Looking down at the objects he sees the gold sword, picking it up he notices the material it is made from. Scoffing he drops the sword back into the chest, “Bloodeh useless material” looking down at the iron he remembers the nature of the Ignot he holds. Picking it up he walks out of the hut looking around to see if anyone is by. Seeing no one he smiles walking away. “Perhaps I will make a knife? Or a few arrow heads-“ his thoughts drift as he thinks of what he can do with the ingots he now possess. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Kraan remains silent, unable to understand what they are saying he walks past them he sits by a fire he can see, even though he knows they have food he knows as long as they see him as a threat he won’t be able to get it. Staying awake he waits around the fire for them to fall asleep the moving he takes some loathes of bread from a sack. Smiling he walks away in the night biting into the bread “Not quite meat but it will have to do” crossing the wilderness he carries on moving knowing by morning they will be looking for him. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Unable to understand what they are saying he can he the urgency in their voices. Looking around the people are scared as well as the armed men, turning around he walks out of the town. He isn’t about to stay and be slaughtered for people who looked at him with angry eyes. Unable to understand the fact there were bandits outside the town he almost stumbles into there camp, running they are in close pursuit, after running a mile they have long since stopped following him. He smiles “They have better prey to hunt among the ‘Civilised’ town then chasing down a lone hunter.
