Aerinyes 402 Share Posted May 17, 2012 Dearest friends, The Holy Princedom of Malinor has undergone one of the most terrifying events within our history in Asulon. The plague of the Mainland has segregated and isolated us from the outside world for many months. It was unfortunate that we had to remain in quarantine for so long, but a necessary precaution for our well being and survival. I thank each and everyone of you for remaining patient and understanding through this ordeal. I am pleased however to announce that Normandor is no longer under quarantine. The gates, under my orders, have been reopened! This does not mean we are entirely safe however. Reports suggest that the air around the Cloud Temple upon the mainland is still poisoned, and we must remain vigilant against the sickness. I am allowing messages animals back into the city. But I implore everyone to report any sort of signs of the Plague immediately to the Sentinels. Sickened individuals will be quarantined from the populace so they can be treated. Remember the tell tall signs of the plague, nausea, numbness in the feet and hands, green spots, and vomiting. Thankfully we have acquired various methods of treating the sickness and we can increase the chances of survival for the infected and mitigate any possible outbreaks. As many of you already know, one of our own during the tail end of the crisis was infected. I'm pleased to announce that Iat has recovered after many weeks in a coma. Unfortunately the ordeal has left him troubled and he has decided to leave Normandor for the time being. I wish him well, and hope that he is safe with his thoughts. In addition concern about the plague upon our crops on the farm island were raised. In response I have had the little crops left there burned. The island itself is safe to be used. We were thankful that our last harvest was plentiful and happened months before the plague began. All of our foodstocks are untouched. To ease the burden further, I have decided to extend the waiver of taxes and rent one more elven week. However if you have rent or taxes that were due before the first waiver, and many of you do owe from before, that you pay the balance. Some homes were on the verge of being reclaimed last elven week before the freeze. The waiver last elven week and this week did not reset the balances, only froze them. Notices will be placed showing how much is owed if you do. Next elven week will add 100 to the balances owed as normal. It will also be when reclamations will be performed for those more then 300 mina's behind (roughly 3 elven weeks). This week and last week did not count towards these balances, so there is no excuse now for lack of payments. We are currently in the need of Maple Wood (regular wood) and Sugarcane. Therefore farmers and woodcutters are sorely needed. If you are a worker for the City, we ask that you return to work very soon. Next elven week we will be requiring that your quota's be filled. We currently are only accepting the following for quotas: Maple Logs (regular logs) Leaves (see Housing and Jobs for amount) Sugarcane Excavators and Miners have normal quotas. -Sythra Duskwind High Princess
