Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name: jacobom

How old are you?: 14 15 in june

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: England

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes I believe I have decent grammar.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm generally quite a nice guy. I sometimes like to crack vulgar jokes at times. I can refrain though. I get wound up easily but try to keep my temper. But I feel I'm alright to talk to.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I can't really say. As much as I can I suppose.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Creating a character and guiding it through its life making changes to it and other characters possibly around them.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Well. I've been roleplaying for such a long time it must be about around a year and a half now. I'm quite experienced and the people I've roleplayed with say I'm quite good.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is when a player uses knowledge that isn't available to their character. They usually do it to give themselves an advantage like confidential information in RP or knowing peoples names without them telling you. or if you see someones name behind and they are stalking you or something you can't just walk behind the wall and kill them.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: If you are in a fight or something and the player types in *Attacks and kills bobo* or *uses god to kill jeff* not powergaming would be like *Eddy shoots an arrow at the assassin* because you aren't just saying that you killed them instantly you are giving them a chance to fight back and roleplaying fairly and not overpowering your characters good abilities and reducing their weaknesses.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to be quite well built and have a good community. With a hopefully stable economy.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played an a lot of servers. I can't remember a few of em. But the most memorable ones are Epicraft. The server just died out one day. A steampunk styled one. that one died out aswell. The vault RP I got kinda bored with that, it was a fallout styled RP server. Those are the ones I remember.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes I do!

How did you hear about us?: I was surfing around an youtube. saw your trailer and I thought it would be fun to play on!

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: This is my second one this one is mostly the same apart from it's just improved a bit.

In-Character:

Character Name: Durfang

What Race are you?: Human ( Is it okay to choose the orc race to get their skills because of my characters backstory?)

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Northerner

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Durfang is a human who was raised by an orc far away from anywhere populated. Since he grew up with an orc for a mother he spoke and acted exactly as a normal orc would, He believes he is an orc who just looks like a human. He is nearly the size of an orc (half a foot shorter) on account of the way he was raised every fibre of him thinks he is an orc.

He wears typical orcish clothing. A studded leather sash, leather pauldrons, a belt with a human skull on the front and a dirty loincloth. He also has black hair, red eyes and a streak of blue warpaint on one side of his face.

When Gurk. His ma had found Durfang in the woods wailing loudly. She cautiously approached him and when she saw that it was a human child she stared down at it. "Tha ell ze doin ere?" She thought out loud. She picked up the large screaming infant in its filthy rags and decided to take it to her home.

She lived isolated in a forest far from any town or city. She nursed him until he was Three. She put a stick in his hand and picked one up herself and told her son. "it me wiv it". Durfang understood and plodded towards her, stick raised. She quickly swing the stick down on his head. "ged up!" she commanded. Clutching his head Durfang raised himself. "agen" she barked at him. He tried to hit her a second time only to be jabbed in his soft belly. "youz soft. gurk gowna make youz tuff. yur biggest uman boy I seen."

for another seven years she sparred with Durfang and over the years he started to bruise her back. When he was eleven she guided him through the woods and pointed towards a boar shuffling around the woods. She handed him a bit of sharpened stone. "yor bringin in supper" She whispered and retreated back behind the trees. Durfang approached the boar silently, after a few moments of waiting. He roared and jumped into the boars back. It squealed and started charging around the woods. Pale clung onto the boar and brought the stone into the boars skull. Gurk ran towards Durfang and said "gud. least yu can kill fings."

By the time he was seventeen he had begun to move into bigger prey. He had his own stone axe that Gurk had made for him. Gurk one day approached him and said " I been raising yu since yu were a cub. yu drunk orc milk and yu ar un uman but yur da most orcy wun I seen in muh lyfe." "what ya talkin bout?" Asked Durfang. "Why yu sayin dis?". Gurk grunted and Durfang saw an arrow protruding from between her eyes.

He looked at it in shock and bewilderment. She fell down to the ground. Mouth gaping he saw the man who shot her. With two other men they walked towards him and said "Are you alright?" Durfang roared and swung his axe at the man. lopping off his head. He grabbed the second and crushed his throat. The third one had aimed an arrow at him and shot at him. The arrow got caught in Durfang's side. He threw the axe at the third man and it embedded itself into his chest. Durfang strode over to the man and pulled out his axe and roared a second time into the dark cloudy sky, a storm was brewing. He walked slowly over to his dead mother and picked her up. He wordlessly walked over to the hut. gathered as much wood as he could find and filled up the hut with wood. After he had finished he placed his mother in the center of the hut and started a fire. He left the burning hut without looking back and then loped into the woods and off to find the people who lived in the desert his mother had talked about when he was young. Since that day he has never been able to kill a group of humans so easily.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format):

Other Information about your Character: Doesn't like his own kind very much and prefers the company of the orcs. He also has a weakness for cats and a strong fear of birds.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

I would walk up to the warriors and stand behind them and say "Watdya fink yor doin?"

Without looking behind they say "None of your business you filthy orc"

I slap one of them on the side of the head and he trips over to the side. The warriors then look at me and say. "A human?" They chuckle "biggun aint e. As ugly as one of them stinking orcs!"

I roar at them and while they are startled I grab my large axe that Gurk had fashioned for me and embed it in one of the soldiers shoulders. The other takes the opportunity to take a slash at my side. The sword cuts in deep and I flail my arms around in pain and by chance catch the unlucky warrior on the underside of the chin. His knees buckle and I turn around after the initial shock of the blow. I see the warrior on his knees and take the opportunity to powerfully kick at the side of his head and break his neck. I am bleeding quite a lot from the warriors attack and howl into the air as the pain returns. After a while the pain subsides again, I then look over to the halfling and slowly walk towards him, stumbling a few times. The halfling attempts to escape but I extend a huge arm and grab him by the scruff of the neck. I lift him up to my face and strip him of anything I wanted, then dropping him harshly to the ground hearing a bone break.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I would scowl at the shop owner and walk over to him and say "Wad ya got?"

"Fine clothes and jewelry my friend!" "Yu fink I wan dat muck?" I reply and then I walk elsewhere.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: He would pick up the iron bars because they would be useful for something but leave the sword since he already has a perfectly good axe to cleave people up with and doesn't care about riches.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

I would look over to them and say "Need sum food..NOW!" I would give them the iron bars I found in the small hut and eat the six pieces of steak they gave me in exchange greedily. and leave as soon as I could.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I think that the guards should handle it themselves but I consider fighting the bandits to gain some honor. After not much consideration I ambush a few of the bandits and kill them before the guards could. The guards offer me some of the reward but I refuse it saying "Don need stinkin gold fom muck like yu".
