Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I’m an avid gamer and consider myself a more tame one at that. I don’t rage at other player, and believe that is how competitive gaming should be played. I’ve like building, creating, and acting IRL, so roleplaying isn’t new to me.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

about 3-4 hours a day on most cases, and at least 21 hours a week, at the very least. Chances are I would spend another 10 hours + due to extra time on weekends.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying is taking up the role of a character and assuming control of him to do as you wish through him/her. Roleplaying is becoming a character yourself and expressing your thoughts aligned with the characters own based on the personality and attitude of the character you choose to create.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I know how to take up a character role due to my life experiences with acting, and I never break character. I’ve played RPG’s like fallout before, but never played a roleplaying game quite like this, but I am looking forward to the chance to, if given.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

using outside knowledge or tactics that are not (in terms of RPing) knowledge and skill the character does not know, but the player utilizes to gain an advantage. An few examples would be finding background information to a player based on his MC name and using it to your advantage, or spying in teamspeak to get information you can use.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power gaming is when you make moves in which it only favors you giving the other no fair chance. For example, forcing a player to kill off their character or drawing your weapon prematurely without emoting beforehand.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Fair, fun, and competitive. It appears that a lot of care is put into the maintenance of the servers integrity, and that the utmost respect will be held amongst the players do to the mod/admin diligence on the server.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I’ve only played on a normal SMP server before, never on an Roleplaying server, or faction server.

JonTillmon a very high ranked player on your server is a classmate of mine, and recommended it to me but only if I were serious and well behaved. This fact was extensively stressed.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Alfaz is a man of many faces. His history is shrouded in mystery, some may say he killed an entire family of woodsman, while some may claim to have seen him cure a man of blindness. Others might say they have never heard of him, and that’s just the way he likes it. His journey is one of retribution, pride, justice, and most of all, his honor.

As a boy, Alfaz grew up alone, and without guidance. The night he was born, a bandit horde sieged his village, and all the men had to leave their wives to fight the onslaught of barbaric highwaymen. Alas his father was fatally wounded by a canon shell that burst through a house, erupting in a hail of shrapnel, impaling him to wall. When his mother caught wind of what had happened, she attempted to flee, only to succumb to birthing pains in the midst of her escape in the middle of the densely crowded forest. Luck smiled upon the poor soul, and an old woman came hobbling out into the cleaning, just in time to aid the girl as she gave birth to her child. Alas she would not live to hold her young babe, but bestowed upon him the name of her late husband, Alfaz. The old woman took the child to honor her final wishes, took the child to the nearest village. There she met a young beautiful woman who looked to be proper age and told her to take care of the child as if it were her own, and left. The girl took care of the young babe for only a few moons, before realizing that she did not care for the baggage of a child and left it in a clearing in the woods for the wolves. When the night came, so too did the wolves. But these wolves did not act in aggression towards the infant, and instead raised it as a pup. The boy grew and became part of the pack, and learned to live off of the land. He learned to speak by stalking the owners of houses the pack raided, and soon he became adept at this skill. At age 8 a grave misfortune rocked the pack, as the alpha male had died, and quarrelling soon erupted. When a nearby group of hunters hurting the barking, then ran to see what had startled the beasts. When they arrived they saw a small boy surrounded by a pack of wolves. They then slaughtered all the mongrels in an attempt to save the boy, whose family had yet again been murdered. The hunters took him in, fed him, clothed him, and gave him a bed to rest in. They taught him how to hunt, and how to live amongst man. However, Alfaz grew restless, longing for his beloved outdoors, and ran away.

He travelled a great distance, learning new skills along the way, and making many enemies. His escapades brought him to a band of mercenaries by the name of Dark Crescent. The leader of the Dark Crescent, a man named Leon, took Alfaz under his wing, and brought him up as if he were his own. Never before had he been shown so much compassion as Leon had, carried out his every wish, to last detail. Soon alfaz became lead tactician for Leon, and had been advancing faster in the ranks than any other member. To Alfaz this was what family was, but to the rest of the band, it was an outrage. On the eve of a great battle of which alfaz had planned out, the group secretly met, describing a plot to sabotage the plan, rendering the battle as a major loss to Leon and force him to exile Alfaz. When day broke, the battle began, signaling a beginning to the end of Alfaz’s run as Dark Crescent strategist. The Battle was a loss and Leon had been killed in action. The new leader appointed by the men banished Alfaz, and stripped him of his belongings. With his dignity in flames, his reputation tarnished, and once again alone in a foreign land, Alfaz began yet another new life, in hopes of regaining his lost honor.

Alfaz came to Asulon to find his true meaning, and rebuild his honor. Armed with no more than his green cloak and his perseverance, he will fight for honor, and is not afraid to die for a righteous cause. His life revolves around honor, loyalty, and respect. If you respect him, he shall respect you, and remain loyal to the bitter end. The path he chooses may not be an easy one, but it is an honorable one. His focus is not set on the material prize at the end of the battle, but on maintaining a sense of dignity, pride, and honor amongst those who look upon him.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Alfaz’s ambitions are to regain his honor, and become a source of respect and pride amongst those who are around him. He does not seek material wealth or luxury, and will only accept it if it is rightfully earned.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Alfaz is a warrior, a warriors favorite tool Is the Sword.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Alfaz is a master tactician and experienced warrior on the field of battle. He’s a field strategist, as opposed to a man behind the frontlines shouting orders. He’d rather lead a charge on his own plan than shout from the rear.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

I would distract the two belligerents by firing arrows in their direction to change their attention from the Halfling to myself. This would allow ample time for the Halfling to escape while the two warriors either pursued me, or go back to attacking the Halfling who would have already escaped. If that doesn’t work either use a fishing rod to hook them away from the Halfling, or just attack them head-on, depending on the severity of the situation.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

“Hello sir, I am looking for a diamond sword, with an enchantment preferably.”

Yes: “Splendid, would you by chance take debit card? No? Will gold ingots work?”

No: “Shame, do you know where I might find an enchanting table surrounded by books?”

Yes: “Terrific! If you would kindly point me in the correct direction then I shall be on my way.”

No: “Do you have anything at all, dare I ask?”

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Alfaz would scan the area for signs of life, making sure the hut is abandoned, then once completed, make sure the area is clear of traps or obstacles. Once all the precautionary steps are complete, alfaz would loot the chest of the iron bars, and the sword. Although the golden sword has a short lifespan, it may fetch a pretty penny amongst local traders. The iron bars would prove more useful due to the fact that they can be used in anything requiring iron that could be sold or used. The iron bars have a much larger variety of uses than a golden sword.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

“Hello, please, I am in need of help, if you will kindly spare me some provisions I will happily compensate you after I am better, I assure it, it is worth your while.” After I am no longer hungry or suffering from starvation I would pay back my debt to the traders by means of either paying for their goods with whatever I have on me, or I would repay them by means of whatever they so choose, be it delivering something and playing delivery boy, or by doing any number of favors they need accomplished.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Alfaz would approach the leader of the town guard party, and offer my services to ensure the safety of the village, based on past experiences with bandits attacking villages (alluding to the bio). After all is finished, I would then talk to the leader over the reward mentioned above. Then negotiations begin.
