Halfling Culture? (Ooc)

Hi everyone,

I don't know if anyone remembers, but awhile ago we had this:

And, I was wonderin', if our opinions have changed on anything (Especially with the many new halflings). I mean, some of these questions are pretty outdated, but most of them I haven't seen a solid answer for. For example, the halfling religious beliefs. We definitely have ideas, but nothing has been acted upon, or been called 'official'. And of course, Petyr's posts are great, but they only explain so much.

So, yeah. I've been wanting to know, if we could possibly-actually-eventually get started on something like this. I mean, having an actual solid culture, not just ideas floating around. Issues such as religion, tolerance of foreign beliefs, etc etc etc. Like, make an 'official' post about it or something? I'm sure there's plenty of ideas about this, somewhere. Out there. On the internet.

Maybe it's just supposed to be like, all the ideas are everywhere, and people can just make up pretty much anything.. Hmmm..

People already know their basic stuffs, like halflings prefer farming and fishing to mining and beating the hell out of each other. I'm talking about the more deeper things, and what people don't immediately think of when considering joining a new race. Like.. Eh.. views on minas, traveling, relationships with outsiders. I have my own opinions on all these things, but I'd rather like to see other people's. Remember that thing I posted at the top of the thread? Yeah, this. To be honest I'd realllly like to see more of these. Maybe I'll make one. Or maybe someone else, it's really whatever-the-heck everyone wants. As long as everyone is happy, it's alll ok...

Oh my, this post is not very organized..

There needs to be. Something. That explains the culture (Once someone writes everything out), rules of the Vale (I swear, being forced to bathe once a week is/was/should be a rule), and pretty much everything to know about halflings. In one, post. When I joined the Vale about six months ago, I was seriously walking into darkness. A' course, that was before there was a halfling forum section, but whatever. I knew pretty much nothing about them, and I'm still not sure about their 'official' views on certain things (But I'm slow to learn). It would be nice if I was a new halfling and there was this -Ohmygod really pretty forum post about everything I need to know before I become a halfling so I don't look like a complete idiot when I know nothing!!!- Don't be like Lyra. Learn things about things before joining them.

Personally, I have my own opinions on everything, but I will not share them in this post. And, I am very sorry if this is very, very unorganized. I'm just typing my thoughts as I think of them.

Perhaps I shall fix this later~

In truth this is something bugging me as well. Mostly because I just assume we follow a lot of the same habits and lifestyles of the LOTR Hobbits. But theres a million holes in our own lore. Jhonen seems to be the only one left dealing with leadership, but we are a very scattered people. Seems like most of the halflings aren't involved in the vale much anymore. (Granted its just my observation.)

It's difficult to walk around the missing spots in the lore, because it's eventually going to come up, whether you like it or not.

And on a completely off topic note, my dear halflings, please don't walk around in diamond armor and killing everything you see. Because halflings aren't like that (at least I don't think they are o_O).
