Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I don't like describing myself, but if I must I'd say I'm a loner, quiet yet not shy, and a huge gamer. I enjoy both strategy and role-playing games.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 20+ hours

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Role-playing, in my personal view is taking control of a character, their actions, emotions, and everything, then expressing these things as if I were the character.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've Role-played in Final Fantasy XIV as a Miqo'te(catgirl) and as many characters in D&D as well as other tabletop games

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: it's simply using information that your character shouldn't know to change their actions

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: I actually had to look this up, at first I thought it meant godmoding but it's different. Power-Gaming is the act of focusing purely on your character skill/level/equipment development, while paying no heed to role-play or anything else within the game.

What do you expect this server will be like?:I feel like people will be friendly and at least decent at role-playing (which is a compliment :P). I've surfed about as a wandering soul and like what I've seen

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Many, I've been server surfing but finally decided to pick one and I think this is it since I like role-play and a good application system keeps most of the annoying types out

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, and although I'm not prone to remembering things very well, I believe I'll easily follow them regardless

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and her life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

In a small unmarked village lived a family, the father a blacksmith and mother a tanner. Then Melanie the tomboy daughter with the fighting spirit of a warrior, Melanie has green eyes, brown hair with blonde bangs, and fair skin. The father and mother had actually been quite proud of their strange daughter who'd wield wooden swords and wear leather armor, who'd dream of slaying zombies and bandits, who'd one day become the guard of their small village. However guard duty wasn't all that it seemed it would be, it was boring... she found herself offering her help to others, seeing as the town was never in danger, and in fact she had enjoyed it so much more than she thought she would. Receiving a smile and a "thank you" was gratifying, but the appreciation of the people would slowly fade as they began to expect her help. Now nineteen years of age and standing nearly six feet tall Melanie began to feel that helping people around her village had become a chore and guard duty hadn't gotten anymore exciting, It was time to start a new life elsewhere.

Melanie was not well received outside the village, years of knowing what her fellow villagers needed as well as sitting around guarding against virtually nothing had given her face a natural expression of boredom and her demeanor had become cold, even though on the inside she's still caring and the adventure had her excited, she couldn't easily show it. Learning to live as a wanderer, she searches the land for a place where she feels comfortable and has much exciting times to be had.

What are your Character's ambitions?: Melanie seeks just one truly satisfying adventure, then life in a peaceful village.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Melanie is most accustomed to the sword... but she feels yet to have a true favorite.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

While Melanie gained basic understanding of tanning leathers and smiting swords and armor from her parents, tilling the land and animal care from her village residents, her best skill lies in the sword. Although she had only herself to learn from she has become decently skilled. However Melanie has no skills that truly stand out.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? While the bandits are distracted with their ill deed, Melanie sneaks up on them sword in both hand and standing tall she brings it through ones neck, decapitating him. She was slightly shocked that she had been quick enough to accomplish such a thing, but with no time to spare she brought her sword to the other one's chest, who had turned to her to attack. He stops as her sword pierces his skin and presses into his sternum. "Run." Melanie said in a quick commanding voice. The man fled in fear and she sheathed her sword. Her hands shook in excitement. She glanced at the halfling who then took a step back, she still had her same bored, cold expression. She then quickly continued on her way, the halfing must have been in a bit of shock but Melanie heard the sound of his thanks as she left hearing range of his voice.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Melanie quickly glanced about hoping the merchant hadn't been talking to her since she didn't carry much more than a beggar in minas, unfortunately she had made a misstep and ended up being the only one in front of the man's stall. Not wanting to disappoint the merchant she shuffled through her bag and grasped a gold nugget she had received for aiding a villager in a much more prosperous region. "How much food can I get for this?"

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Melanie searches the area for a possible inhabitant, upon finding none she secures food and spends the night in the hut. After the sun rises she takes only the iron bars, having no interest in golden tools and weaponry, she leaves.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Melanie had wandered into an area scarce of easily obtained food, a desert. She thought of the dangerous deserts as the perfect place for an adventure, unfortunately the desert winds had concealed her footsteps she would have retraced.

Hunger and thirst made her consciousness fade as she forced herself to move forward using her sword as a crutch at some point she had ended up deep within a forest without realizing.

"Hello? Are you alright?" The sound of a friendly voice made her relax.

"Just some food and water please." She answered as if the man had asked her what she needed and then fell to the floor unconscious.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Melanie offers to help but denies the reward if it would benefit the leader to keep it. "Ah, no worries there, plenty o' minas to go 'round." Melanie nodded and proceeded to kick at the small rocks in the dirt as she waited. Several minutes past and the leader spoke up. "That's it, let's head out!" Melanie looked up and to her surprise many had gathered. They made haste toward the bandit camp and to no surprise the small group of bandits fled out from their tents as the archers in the group let loose a volley of arrows. Melanie quite a few things she disliked in people, villainous and cowardice were two of them. She sprinted forward and tackled a bandit who had stopped to pick up a gold ingot he had dropped in the panic. Grabbing one leg with both hands she dragged him back and the guards took him into custody.

Anything else you would like to say?: I tried to take my time with this but I'm getting tired so I apologize for any mistakes, I'm still sharpening up on the lore so tell me if anything needs changing :3
